        This study was done to investigate histochemical and protein changes in the rat testis I WAT and 3 WAT with 4 mg/kg of cadmium, IP, single injection. A control group and 2 experimental groups were studied. Testes were processed routinely for H&E stain and agarose gel electrophoresis. The results were as follows ; 1. In the histochemical studies, death of all the spermatogenic cells and Sertoli cells in the seminiferous tubules, and decreased ground substance, decreased fibroblasts and interstitial cells and increased inflammatory cells in the interstitial tissues were found in the cadmium treated groups, and the degree of necrotic changes was more severe in the 3 WAT group. 2. In the biochemical studies, two kinds of proteins, 25 kDa and 45 kDa, were disappeared and one kind of protein, 100 kDa, was decreased after Cd treatment. 25 kDa and 45 kDa proteins were suggested as actin which consist the spermatogenic cells, but what's the protein 100 kDa is unclear. According to the above results, it is considered that there would be irreversible changes in seminiferous convoluted tubules and also in the interstitial tissues after cadmium treatment, and detecting amino acid sequences of these proteins would help understanding the mechanism of necrosis in the testis tissue after cadmium administration.

        In the design of plate girder web panels, it is required to evaluate accurately the elastic buckling strength under pure shear. Whether or not the post-buckling strength is accounted for. Currently. Elastic shear buckling coefficients of web panels stiffened by transverse intermediate stiffeners are determined by assuming conservatively that web panels are simply supported at the juncture between the flange and the web. Although the notion of the real boundary condition at the juncture of the web and flanges to be somewhere between simple and fixed has been recognized from early days, the boundary condition has been conservatively assumed. Mainly due to lack of means to evaluate it in a rational manner. In this paper. A series of numerical analyses based on a three-dimensional finite element modeling is carried out to investigate the effects of the geometric parameters on the boundary conditions at the juncture between the flange and the web.

        Fingerprint patterns of 333 schizophreniacs who met with the diagnostic criterias of International Pilot Study of Schizophrenia except items associated with chronicity in exclusion criteria were studied, and the following results were obtained. 1. The frequency distribution of the fingerprint patterns in the 333 schizophreniacs was ulnar loop, whorl, twinned loop, arch, radial loop in order in both control and schizophrenia groups. 2. Finger ridge counts of both sexes were decreased significantly in schizophrenia group. 3. Dissociation of fingerprint pattern in the schizophrenia group was 51.1%, which was far greater than 6.25% of control group. Number of dissociation was greatest in the thumb, followed by index, middle, ring, and little finger in order. According to the above results, it is considered that both the number of finger ridges and degree of dissociation of fingerprint patterns were closely related with schizophrenia. Analysis of fingerprints and palmprints with the aid of chromosomal analysis would contribute the early diagnosis and prevention of schizophrenia.

      • Design of a Measurement Instrument for End-User Computing Competency and a Case Study

        In a computing environment, the end-user computing capability is necessitated for performing his or her given tasks and improving his or her business performance in an enterprise of computing environment. An instrument of an end-user computing competency is extracted from the major components of a general competency. Through a survey measurement of 328 respondents, this study performed a factor analysis, and proposed a 16-item instrument that can examine an end-user computing competency in a computing environment. The application of the instrument is confirmed by applying it to measuring the computing competency of the end-users in an enterprise of computing environment and by presenting the measurement results for them.

        Structural Framework to Measure Smart Technology Capability for Smar t Factory of Manufacturing Fields

        Smart technology has been utilized in various fields of all kinds of industries. Manufacturing industry has built its smart technology environment appropriate for its manufacturing fields in order to strengthen its manufacturing performance and competitiveness. The advance of smart technology for manufacturing industry needs to efficiently produce products, and response customer’s demands and services in a global industrial environment. The smart technology capability of manufacturing fields is very crucial for the innovative production and efficient operation activities, and for efficient advancement of the manufacturing performance. We have necessitated a scientific and objective method that can gauge a smart technology ability in order to manage and strengthen the smart technology ability of manufacturing fields. This research provides a comprehensive framework that can rationally gauge the smart technology capability of manufacturing fields for effectively managing and advancing their smart technology capabilities. In this research, we especially develop a structural framework that can gauge the smart technology capability for a smart factory of manufacturing fields, with verifying by reliability analysis and factor analysis based on previous literature. This study presents a 13-item framework that can measure the smart technology capability for a smart factory of manufacturing fields in a smart technology perspective.

        Analysis Framework for Smart Technology Capability in Logistics Industry

        In the fourth industrial revolution, logistics environment has rapidly changed with continuous new technology development and business method to efficiently secure competitive advantage in intense competition of a global market environment. Logistics industry has consistently built its smart technology environment appropriate for efficiently managing and improving its logistics fields. The smart technology for logistics industry is critical to efficiently execute distribution activities and to effectively raise its performances in a smart technology environment. The smart technology capability of logistics industry is a crucial medium to achieve the efficient logistics activities and successful logistics performances in a global logistics market. It has to be synthetically managed and improved to advance the logistics business environment and strengthen its competitiveness. Hence, this study presents an overall and objective analysis framework to reasonably manage and upgrade the smart technology capability that can properly support its logistics fields in a smart technology environment. This research confirms the developed analysis framework by reliability analysis and factor analysis based on previous studies. The 16-item analysis framework verified in terms of reliability and validity can efficiently analyze a smart technology capability for logistics industry in a total smart technology perspective.

        A Recommendation System for Efficiently Proposing Digital Contents in Customer-Oriented Web-Marketing

        인터넷 및 정보기술의 발전으로, 고객의 만족도를 증가시키는 위한 웹 기반시스템에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되어 왔다. 최근에는 각 고객의 관점에서 고객화된 서비스를 제공하기 위한 고객 지향 마케팅에 대한 관심도 높아졌으며, 웹 마케팅 시스템에서도 고객 지향 마케팅을 지원하기 위한 연구가 요구되고 있다. 마케팅 관점에서 웹 기반시스템의 주된 관심은 고객 만족도 증가를 통한 고객 충성도의 향상이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 데이터마이닝 기법에 기초한 크로스 셀링을 이용하여 고객 맞춤형 웹 마케팅을 지원하는 디지털 컨텐츠 추천 시스템을 개발하였다. 제안된 시스템은 동시 크로스 셀링과 순차 크로스 셀링을 통한 데이터마이닝 기법을 이용하였다. 또한 이러한 데이터마이닝 결과를 개발된 시스템에 적용하여 그 결과를 제시함으로써 그 효용성을 평가하였다.

        Measurement of Firm e-Business Capability to Efficiently Perform Business Tasks in an e-Business Environment

        With the progress of IT, many firms have implemented their e-business management environment based on IT to efficiently perform e-business tasks and improve their business performances. In this environment, The measurement and management of firm e-business capability are critical to effectively execute business tasks and management activities, and improve the business performance and competitiveness of an enterprise. This study provides a practical measurement tool that can totally gauge a firm e-business capability to be asked for efficiently performing the firm e-business tasks and management activities in an e-business environment. In order to search a measurement tool, we develop the first 32-items to measure a firm e-business capability. The developed measurement items is verified by factor analysis and reliability analysis. We extract the 15-items appropriate for measuring the firm e-business capability and the structure of measurement tool was verified by these analyses. The developed measurement tool proposes 4 measurement factors and 15 items, and the framework of measurement tool.

        Development of a Comprehensive Instrument for Measuring Individual IT Competency in an Enterprise IT Environment

        정보기술의 발전과 함께 대부분의 기업은 효율적 경영활동과 성과 향상을 위해 정보기술(IT)을 기반으로 한 경영환경을 구축해 왔다. 이러한 정보화환경에서 개인의 효율적 업무수행을 위해 개인의 정보기술(IT) 역량을 측정하고 관리하는 것은 기업의 업무성과 향상과 경쟁력 강화에 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 기존연구에서는 특정관점의 개인 IT 능력을 측정하는 툴의 개발에 대한 연구는 수행되었으나 총체적인 관점에서 개인 IT 능력을 측정하는 도구에 대한 연구는 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구는 기업 정보기술(IT) 환경에서 근무하는 개인의 정보기술(IT) 역량을 총체적인 관점에서 효율적으로 측정할 수 있는 포괄적인 도구를 개발한다. 이를 위해 기존 연구에서 개인 정보기술(IT) 역량을 측정하기 위한 최초 25 개의 측정항목을 개발하며, 개발된 측정항목을 기반으로 요인분석, 신뢰성 분석, 그리고 구조적 타당성 분석 등을 통하여 적합한 15 개의 측정항목, 4 개의 측정요인, 그리고 측정도구의 구조를 제시한다. 개발된 측정도구는 실제 정보기술 환경의 기업에 근무하는 인력에 적용하여 그 분석 결과를 제시함으로써 그 활용성을 확인한다.
