단위계 변화에 따른 차원과 수치 전환

We extended the matrix method and the factor method which are used to convert unit systems and found the method which is useful to convert dimensions, numerical values the other unit system. The conversion method of dimension converts dimensions of the known unit system to those of the unit system which we wish to know by means of doing the product of the conversion matrix which is found out the corresponding relations of the fundamental quantity by the column matrix of dimension of the known unit systems. Using this method, the SI units are converted to Gaussian, esu, emu units and conversely esu, emu units are converted to SI units. However, the matrix method could not convert dimensions from Gaus-sian units to SI units. The conversion matrix of numerical value which is used to change numerical values from SI units to Gaussian units is found out from the corresponding relation of basic units. Besides some exceptional cases, we knew the relation of numerical values of the various units system.

비내시경 수술로 치험한 급성 사골동염에 의한 안와봉와직염 1례

Inflammation involving the orbit is an omnious physical sign representing a threat to vision and life. Seventy-five percent of bacterial infections in the orbit are caused by paranasal sinusitis, usually ethmoiditis medially, less commonly from the frontal sinusitis above or maxillary sinusitis below. Orbital complication induced by acute sinusitis is a rare condition in nowadays since the advent of antibiotics. We report a case of treatment for periorbital cellulitis induced by acute ethmoiditis. A 37-year-old male patient visited the otolaryngologic out patient clinic with symptom of severe headache around left orbital area for 2 days. The physical examination revealed no gross abnormality on the face except mucopurulent discharges from the left middle meatus. A plain paranasal sinus films showed partial haziness in the left ethmoid sinus and frontal sinus. The patient was admitted due to a severe headache. On the evening of admission day the patient's left eyeball was protruded and periorbital edema occured. Although the administration of maximal doses of parenteral antibiotics, the edema and protrusion of left eyeball became worse. The orbital sonogram showed cellulitis in the left orbital area and the PNS CT scans showed left ethmoiditis and frontal sinusitis. An emergency intranasal ethmoidectomy under the endoscopic control was performed on the third admission day. On the second post-operative day the patient's eyelid swelling decreased. On the sixth post-operative day the patient was discharged without any orbital sequela. We report this case with review of the literature.

制州火山灰土에서 燐酸施肥量 差異가 制州 在來 大豆의 生育과 收量形疾에 미치는 影響

本 試驗은 濟州火山灰土에서 大豆 (濟州在卒 검정콩)를 栽培하는 경우 適正 燐酸 施肥量을 究明하기 위하여 遂行되었으며 그 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1. 燐酸 施用量이 增加함에 따라 莖長, 莖直徑은 점차 增加하는 傾向을 나타내고 있으나 그 增加幅은 점차 줄어들고 있다. 2. 分枝數, 株當莢數와 乾物量은 施用量이 12㎏/10a에서 가장 높게 나타나고 있으나 未莢數에서는 處理間에 有意性이 나타나지 않았다. 3. 主莖節數와 百粒重은 9㎏/10a 施用區에서 다소 높은 數値를 보이고 있으나 12㎏/10a施用區와는 별로 差異가 認定되지 않았으며 5%에서 有意하였다. 4. 種實收量은 燐酸 施肥量이 12㎏/10a까지는 增加하는 傾向을 보였으나 그 이상 施用에서는 오히려 줄어드는 趨勢를 보여주었다. 5. 種實收量은 草長, 莖直徑, 分枝數, 株當莢數, 乾物量, 百粒重과 高度의 正의 相關을 보여주었고, 乾物量은 分枝數, 株當莢數는 高度의 正의 相關을 나타내었으며, 株當莢數는 草長, 莖直徑, 分枝數와 高度의 正의 相關을 나타내었다. This experiment was carried out estmate the proper amount of phosphorus fertilizer required to increase yield in growing cheju native black soybean in the volcanic ash soils of the cheju island. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The greater amount of phosphorus fertilizer, the higher plant height and stem diameter. 2. No. of branches, No of pods per plant and dry stem weight were greatest in 12㎏/10a of phosphorus fertilizer but No. of non pods per plant was not affected by level of phosphorus fertilizer. 3. No. of nodes of main stem and weight of 100 seeds were greatest in 9㎏/10a of phosphorus fertilizer but the difference shorted 4. Seed yield was greatest in 12kg/10a of phosphorus fertilizer. 5. Yield charaters which had a great influance on seed yield were plant height, stem diamter, No. of branches, dry stem weight, weight 100 seeds, and No. of pods per plant was positively correlated with plant height, stem diameter, and No. of branches, seed yield.

재활용 폐페인트를 이용한 방청페인트 개발연구

In this study, The method to produce anticorrosive paint using reproductive wastepaint was investigated. The liquid-phase resin, BHO-500 and powder-phase paint BHO-300 were produced through wastepaint reproductive process. BHO-500 and BHO-300 could be replaced respectively polyvinylchloride resin and filler, which are thr components of anticorrosive paint. The properties of the anticorrosive paint produced through this process were excellent in comparison with the existing anticorrosive paint.

A Case of Pneumatosis Cystoides Intestinalis in an Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant Recipient Who had Bronchiolitis Obliterans and Pulmonary Infection by Mtcobacterium abscessus

Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) can cause various complications involving lung, liver intestine and other organs, Chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) may injure the cells in the intestinal mucosa of HSCT recipients. Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis (PI) is a condition that presence of air in the bowel wall is demonstrated by radiologic or pathologic tests, It is one of the infrequent complications after HSCT and is associated with several medical and surgical conditions. However its pathogenesis and definite etiologic factors are still unknown. Here, we present a case of PI in a HSCT recipient, who was diagnosed of bronchiolitis obliterance accompanied with chronic GVHD and pulmonary disease caused by Mycobacterium abscessus.

동물원에서 사육중인 Japanese Macaque (Macaca fuscata)에서 Zoletil 마취에 관한 연구

To evaluate the effects of Zoletil (tiletamine-zolazepam) that have been widely used for the chemical restraint and anesthesia of primates, on physiologic alteration, blood gas analysis and anesthetic duration in the Japanese macaque(Macaca fuscata), this study was carried out. Zoleril was administered by intramuscular injection, Evaluation of temperature, heart rate, respiration rate and blood gas analysis were performed before administration ancl at 1,10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 min after administration, and induction and maintenance time was recorded. There was no significant difference in heart rate, PCO₂PO₂after Zolcril administration and temperature, respration rate, pH were significant difference compared with those of before administration, The induction time was 2.5±l.Omin and maintenance time was 86±23.2min. It was considered that Zoletil could he usefully used for the sedation and immobilization of Japanese macaque reared in zoological garden.

동종 조혈모세포이식 후 발생한 크립토콕쿠스 척추염 1예

Skeletal cryptococcosis is an uncommon infection. Cryptococcus is a common cause of meningitis and infects 7∼10% of patients with AIDS. As well as AIDS, the infection may be seen in association with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculosis and diabetes, also in patients on steroid medication. But there is no case report of skeletal cryptococcosis following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. A 40-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of low back pain. She had chronic myelogenous leukemia for 2 years and underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation 8 months ago. She have been treated with steroid and cyclosporine orally because of chronic graft versus host disease. On examination she was afebrile and had posterior lower lumbar tenderness. But, she had no reduced strength of low extremities. Open biopsy was underwent. Histology demonstrated budding, round-to-oval, refractile yeast-like organisms within debris. The results of a lumbar puncture were unremarkable and cerebrospinal fluid culture failed to grow bacteria and yeast. The patient was treated with amphotericin B (1 gram) and AmBisome□ (2.8 gram) over 6 weeks. Three months after cessation of therapy, the patient was doing well.(Korean J Infect Dis 33:298∼301, 2001)

As the advancement is in progress for reinforced concrete structures, more steel parts are used in the form of steel bars and plates. In order to determine the compressive strength of concrete using ultrasonic method, the influence of steel plate on the velocity of the ultrasonic wave needs to be found. Therefore, in this study, the velocity of ultrasonic wave is measured for three different cases of steel plate inclusion within mortar specimens. The results have shown that the velocity increases with the increased volume of steel plate.

비강 및 부비동의 반전성 유두종에서 인유두종바이러스검출과 p53및 c-erbB-2의 발현

Background: Inverted papilloma(IP) of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses is a benign neoplastic condition that can be associated with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Several studies have indicated an etiologic role for viruses in the development of inverted papilloma. And it is necessary to find out the significance of a biologic markers such as p53, c-erbB-2 to predict the malignant potential. The purposes of this study are to detect HPV in inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinus, to examine role of HPV as an etiological agent, to examine the relationship between HPV subtype and malignant transformation of inverted papilloma, and to investigate the relation between expression rate of p53, c-erbB-2 and HPV in recurrent or malignant transformation cases. Material and Methods: Thirty two cases of inverted papilloma(IP) in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses were reviewed and classified into 3 groups; simple IP, IP with dysplasia group, IP with squamous cell carcinoma group. Paraffin embedded achival tissue was used in this study. The HPV was detected by in situ hybridzation (ISH) using HPV type 6/11, 16/18, 31/33/35 DNA probes. Expression of p53 and c-erbB-2 was examined by immunohistochemical staining. Results: 1) The HPV was detected in 6(19%) out of 32 cases. 2) The HPV 6/11 was dectected in 4 out of 21 cases of simple IP, HPV 16/18 in 1, HPV 31/33/35 in lout of 8 cases of IP with dysplasia respectively. 3) The positive expression of p53 was 13 cases out of 32 cases; 2 out of 21 cases of simple IP, all of 8 cases of IP with dysplasia and 3 cases of IP with squamous cell carcinoma 4) The positive expression of c-erbB-2 was in 24 out of 32 cases; 16 out of 21 cases of simple IP, 6 out of 8 cases of IP with dysplasia, 2 out of 3 cases of IP with squamous cell ca. 5) The recurrence of IP occurred in lout of 6 cases of positive for HPV, in 4 out of 26 cases negative for HPV. 6) The recurrence of IP occurred only in positive cases for p53. 7) The recurrence of IP occurred in 4(17%) out of 24 cases positive for c-erbB-2, in 1(13%) out of 8 cases negative for c-erbB-2. Conclusion: The p53 expression was associated with Inverted papillomas exhibiting evidence of malignant transformation. Also, there was a correlation between the p53 expression and recurrence.
