        This study was performed to provide preliminary data for the development of a useful instrument to measure the effect of sex education. The study was conducted with the voluntary participation of 155 college students enrolled in the course "Sexuality and Relationship" at Y university in Seoul. At the end of that course, they were asked to write freely about the change they had experienced on sexuality. All meaningful statements were elicited and classified into 7 categories; "Change of Knowledge", "Enlightenment", "Change of Attitude on Sexuality", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of. Identity", "Change of Emotion", "Change of Behavior:' There were significant changes in the areas of knowledge(28. 6%), enlightenment(27.4%), and attitudes(20.3%) about sexuality among these 7 categories. The Change of Knowledge category consists of 3 areas: "concretion of knowledge", "increase of information", and "correction of misunderstanding." In the category of Enlightenment, total 12 areas are included: "sex role", "erception of lack of knowledge", "importance of family", "life plan", "parent role", "value of life", "equality", "sexual autonomy", "importance of sexuality", "freedom of sexuality", "perception of sexual problem", and "meaning of love." The Attitude Change category consists of 8 areas. These are "being natural", "being progressive", "being sensitive", "being truthful", "being expressive", "being cautious", "being responsible", and "being confident". The category of Buildup of Ability includes 4 areas: "problem solving", "sex education", "relationship", and "communication". The category of Buildup of Identity includes "sexual identity", and "value of sexuality". The Emotional Change category includes 3 areas: "positive feeling", "negative feeling", and "breaking from negative feeling on sexuality". The Behavior Change category includes "sex-related behavioral change". In conclusion, up to now most researches on sex education effect measures only changes of knowledge, attitude, and behavior. But we believe the changes in "Enlightenment", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of Identity", "Change of Emotion", should be included in addition to knowledge, attitude, and behavior in the development of an instrument to measure the sex education effects. And the effect of sex education should measure the degree of learning of autonomy, enlightenment, and ability of behavior and so on rather than studying the simple changes in sexuality.enment", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of Identity", "Change of Emotion", should be included in addition to knowledge, attitude, and behavior in the development of an instrument to measure the sex education effects.         Quality change during preservation of cultivation mushrooms, Flammulina velutipes and Agaricus bisporus

        The standard does much to improve merchantable quality, distribution efficiency and fair dealings by shipping of the standard agricultural products. Mushrooms notified as the standard are five items; Pleurotus ostreatus, Pleurotus eryngii, Flammulina velutipes, Agaricus bisporus and Ganoderma lucidum. But many farmers are suffering from a strict standards. So these standard is required modification to fit farmhouse situations. This study was carried out to investigate mushroom quality of farm shipping and quality change during preservation at various treatment. Flammulina velutipes and Agaricus bisporus preserved at different temperature( 4℃, 10℃, 20℃) to investigate quality changes. Pileus diameters of Flammulina velutipes was 67% of first grade and 33% of second grade at the early stage. After two weeks, pileus diameters was not signigicant changes; 50% of first grade, 50% of second grade at 4℃ and 50% of second grade, 50% of third grade at 10℃. Although there were no significant changes of diameter at 20℃, most of the fruit bodies were decayed. In case of Agaricus bisporus, pileus diameter was 15% of first grade, 81% of second grade and 4% of third grade at the early stage. The more storage period longed, the more the color of the fruit body was browned. But pileus diameters was not signigicant changes. Hardness and chromaticity of these mushroom was declined as time passed. Now we are carrying out more research on some mushroom’s standards for improve consumer confidence.

      • 소프트웨어무선을 위한 디지털-무선 컨버터

        본 논문은 소프트웨어 무선에 적합한 전송장치로써 로직회로에 의해 생성되어지는 디지털신호를 직접 무선으로 변환시킬 수 있는 디지털-무선 변환장치를 제안한다. 이러한 회로가 실현되어지면 변조회로, RF회로와 안테나를 1개의 간단한 디바이스로 실현할 수 있어 소프트웨어무선의 본질인 소프트웨어처리에 의한 무선의 제어를 직접 수행할 수 있게 된다. 본 논문의 디지털-무선 변환장치는 채널화용 PN코드가 부여하는 위상각도에 의해 무수히 많은 채널화를 기할 수 있으며 디지털화에 의하여 설계에 유연성을 주게 되므로 하드웨어의 비중을 최소화시키고 소프트웨어 베이스의 유연한 기능을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 디지털-무선 변환장치를 D/R컨버터라 부르고, 이 D/R컨버터의 원리와 신호 생성 알고리즘 및 컴퓨터시뮬레이션에 의한 동작 특성을 확인한다. In this paper, as a compatible software radio transmission system, Digital-Radio conversion system which can directly change the digital signal generated by the logic circuit into radio signal is proposed. By the vector synthesis method, the digital signals can change directly into radio signal. If such a circuit is realized, RF circuit and an antenna can be composed by the simple one device, and the radio is directly controlled and performed by the software processing which is the essence of software radio. This Digital-Radio conversion system of this paper give many number of communication channels being offered by PN code and offer a hardware design flexibility by digitization, therefore it decrease the percentage ratio of hardware of system and give a more flexible function of software basis. In this paper, this proposed Digital-Radio conversion system is called D/R converter, and the principle of this D/R converter, radio signal generation algorithm is explained and the performance characteristics of proposed algorithm is shown in time base by the computer simulation method.

        스포츠에서 여성의 역할과 활동은 현대스포츠의 전반에 걸쳐 확고하게 자리 매김하고 있다. 이 고찰은 여성의 스포츠 참여, 발전과 미국의 여성 스포츠 신장(伸張)에 중요한 몇 가지 사항과 여성 운동선수의 예외적인 고찰에 관하여 언급하고자 한다. 스포츠 프로그램에서 그동안 참가 숫자가 증가하여 왔는데 특히 그 중에서도 여성의 스포츠 참가수가 증가하여 왔다. 역사적으로 볼 때 여성은 승리를 장식하는 승리 찬미의 역할을 제외하고는 스포츠 참여가 제외되어 왔다. 여성의 스포츠 참여에 대한 사회적 정의는 수년에 걸쳐 많은 변화를 겪어 왔다. 이러한 변화와 관용은 여성의 스포츠 참여의 길을 터 주었다. 결국 여성 스포츠는 성년이 된 셈이다. 미국에서의 1972년 교육개정법 4의 권리의 적용은 여성의 스포츠 참여의 동등한 기회를 마련하는 요인이 되었다. 여성의 스포츠 참여에 있어서 가장 큰 문제는 스포츠가 시한적으로 아주 격렬하다는 점이다. 스포츠는 여성들에게 더 많은 시간을 빼앗고 있으며 그리고 더 많은 노력을 요구한다. 이러한 결과는 흔히 여성들이 스포츠 활동을 하다가 중도에 쉽게 탈락하게 만든다. 성역활, 성적, 생물학적, 그리고 생리학적에 관한 인식은 물론 그에 못지 않게 관념적, 구조적, 지역적, 구리고 조직적인 요소들이 여성의 스포츠 참여에 크게 영향을 미치고 있는 것이다. The concept of the female athlete and the female participant in sport has been accepted in both US and Korea. However, the role of women in sport is still being fought for in the Republic of Korea. The lack of legislations such as Title Ⅸ make the discriminations on the basis of gender continue. However, gender discrimination is deeply rooted in Korean culture, and cannot be addressed outside of social and political change. In the USA, Title Ⅸ has facilitated ad mandated equal opportunity in sport. In Korea, the development of the `sport for all' program increased women`s participation in sport This increased the absolute number of women in sport. However, this also increased the entry of men into women sport. In Korea, the traditional male domination persevered. Few women occupied positions of top management in Korean society, in sport and otherwise. Women`s sport was largely male dominated and all important decisions were made by largely male dominated committees. The pressures and the scarcity of women in position of leadership; in sport is a phenomenon found in both the united states and the Republic of Korea The absence of role Models make it difficult for girls and women to develop their potential within the world of sport.

      • 년령 증가에 따른 췌장도 내분비세포 분포에 관한 조직학적 연구

        It is well known that the islet changes of pancreas could be induced by various factors, for example, obesity, hormones, pregnancy, age, etc. For the observation of the effect of age and sex, the size of the pancreatic islets and endocrine cells composing them were calculated. As an experimental animal the albino rats of Wistar strain were used. During breeding for fifty weeks, the rats were sacrificed with the interval of ten weeks and the pancreatic tissues were fixed in Bouin's solution and stained with hematoxylin and eosin, and aldehyde fuchsin and trichrome. The results were as follows : 1. At the age of fifty weeks of the male, the islets showed marked hypertrophy with peri-and intra-insular fibrosis. 2. The changes of the islets are found more earlier and severe in the male than in the female. 3. The frequency of appearance of pancreatic endocrine cells seemed not to change greatly during the increase of age.

      • Label-free DNA detection with a nanogap embedded complementary metal oxide semiconductor

        <P>A nanogap embedded complementary metal oxide semiconductor (NeCMOS) is demonstrated as a proof-of-concept for label-free detection of DNA sequence. When a partially carved nanogap between a gate and a silicon channel is filled with charged biomolecules, the gate dielectric constant and charges are changed. When the gate oxide thickness reduces, the threshold voltage is significantly affected by a change of the charges, whereas it is scarcely influenced by a change of the dielectric constant. In the case of DNA, those two factors act on the threshold voltage oppositely in an n-channel NeCMOS but collaboratively in a p-channel NeCMOS because of the negative charges of DNA. Hence, a p-channel NeCMOS with a thin gate oxide is more attractive for DNA detection because it enhances the shift of threshold voltage; that is, it improves the sensitivity of DNA detection. In addition, the shift of threshold voltage according to the nanogap length is also investigated and the longer nanogap shows more shift of the threshold voltage.</P>

        국내 주거건물 에너지절감 장애요인에 대한 분석

        Residential building energy consumption is a very important issue to enhance the holistic energy efficiency in Korea. Reasonable energy conservation in residential buildings can be achieved by enhancing building energy efficiency, market transformation, education and policy change. However abrupt change in a nation can cause side-effects. In this study, the barriers which hamper the energy conservation in Korea were investigated through the analysis over the literature, previous study and statistical data. Diverse barriers were derived through this study and the results are categorized to three major classes : technical barriers, socialㆍeconomical barriers and political barriers. Not-sufficient low-energy product, less experienced engineer and the ambiguousness of the embodied energy were the major technical barriers. The previous studies and statistical data indicates the relationship between individual wealth and energy consumption. Furthermore, Rebound effects, lessened attraction of the residential business model and un-organized policy were the social?.economic and political barriers.

        만성 췌장염에 의한 십이지장 협착 1예

        저자들은 만성췌장염환자에서 지속적인 오심과 구토를 주소로 내원하여 십이지장협착으로 진단된 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Duodenal stenosis resulting from fibroinflammatory process is a rare complication of chronic pancreatitis. The mechanism of duodenal stenosis seems to be related to ischemia and edema caused by persistent inflammation, which results in irreversible change of duodenal wall structure. We experienced a chronic alcoholic male patient with duodenal stenosis who had a history of choledochojejunostomy to relieve distal bile duct stenosis several years ago. He had suffered persistent postprandial nausea and vomiting for several months. Barium study of upper gastrointestinal tract and repeated endoscopy show narrowing lumen of duodenum with coarse nodular surface due to reactive inflammatory change.

        Effects of viscoelastic material on the corneal endothelial cells in trabeculectomy with adjunctive mitomycin-C

        We evaluated the change of corneal endothelium after trabeculectomy with mitomycin-C soaking (0.2 mg/ml, 2.4 ± 1.2 minutes) and the effect of viscoelastic material in reducing this change. In randomly selected cases, 0.05 ml of sodium hyaluronate (Healon??) was injected into anterior chamber (Healon group, n = 20), and same amount of balanced salt solution was injected in the other eyes (Control, n = 18) at the beginning of surgery. There were no differences in clinical variables and specular microscopy result between 2 groups before surgery. After surgery, the change of endothelial cells were significantly reduced in Healon group (cell density; -2.5 ± 1.6%, variability of cell area; 5.8 ± 2.5%, and percentage of hexagonal cell; -2.2 ± 0.7%) compared to control group (-7.7 ± 6.0%, 8.9 ± 4.4%, and -4.8 ± 3.5% respectively, p < 0.01). In trabeculectomy with mitomycin-C, the damage to the corneal endothelium was reduced significantly by injecting the viscoelastic material without significant complication.
