        A 13-year-old, castrated male, Maltese-dog was admitted to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University with the history fo petechiae. On physical examination, she had petechiae and ecchymoses at her back, bilateral inguinal region, and inner part of ear pinna. CBC indicated neutrophilia and severe thrombocytopenia. A few platelets, no autoagglutination of RBC, and no spherocyte were observed. Coagulation profile demonstrated normal PT, and aPTT. No significant findings was not found on serum biochemical profile and electolytes test. FNA of a splenic mass which was found on the abdominal radiograph and sonograph demonstrated extramedullary hematopoiesis, Proteinuria was observed on urinarysis. Primary immune-mediated thrombocytopenia was diagnosed by ruling out of other underlying disease, severe thrombocytopenia, and response to immunosuppressive therapy. Prednisone and antibiotics were administered orally and parenterally, respectively. After altering prednisone to azathioprine, the number of platelets was recovered to normal range and petechiae and ecchymoses were improved.

      • 만성 견비통에 대한 동씨침 치료의 무작위 대조군의 임상 연구

        Objectives : To observe the effect of acupuncture treatment in chronic shoulder pain patients. Methods : 36 voluntary patients were randomly assigned to an acupuncture treatment group(E GrouP, n=18) and a control group(C GrouP, n=18). The E Group patients received acupuncture treatment on LI_(15), TE_(14), GB_(21) and Master Dong's acupuncture points, Shin-gwan and Gyun-joong, twice a week for four weeks. The C Group patients received no treatment. All patients in both groups were instructed to practise self exercise in their daily lives. Evaluations were made at baseline and after four weeks of study. The Constant Shoulder Assessment(CSA), Shoulder Pain and Disability Index(SPADI) and the patient's subjective pain was measured by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). The obtained data was analyzed. Results '. The E Group showed significant(p<0.05) improvement in CSA, SPADI and VAS after four weeks of treatment. The C Group showed significant(p<0.05) improvement in CSA, but the change of SPADI and VAS was insignificant(P>0.05). CSA and SPADI of E Group significantly(p<0.05) improved compared to the C GrouP, but the difference of VAS change in the two groups was insignificant(p>0.05). Conclusions : Four weeks of acupuncture treatment significantly improved CSA, SPADI and VAS. The improvement of CSA and SPADI was significant(p<0.05) compared to untreated patients.

      • Titanium isopropoxide의 가수분해에 의한 TiO₂ Power 합성

        Isopropanol 내에서 titanium isopropoxide의 가수분해반응속도를 자외선분광법에 의하여 측정하였다. H₂O 농도 및 온도의 변화에 따른 반응속도상수를 Guggenheim method로 계산하였다. 이 실험 결과 titanium isopropoxide의 가수분해반응은 이분자 반응이 ?? mechanism 으로 관여하는 것으로 추정되었다. 또한 titanium isopropoxide의 가수분해에 의한 TiO₂ 분말합성에 있어서 pH 및 온도영향을 연구하였다. 합성된 분말과 소결체에 대하여 SEM, XRD, IR 및 입도분석을 통하여 characterization 하였다. TiO₂분말 합성결과 pH가 높을수록, 또한 반응온도가 높을수록 반응시간이 짧아졌으나, 낮은 온도에서 반응시킬 경우에 입자의 agglomeration이 적어짐을 알았다. 생성된 입자는 비정질의 gel 상태였으며, 소결시킨 후는 rutile, 또는 rutile과 anatase의 혼합물인 titanium dioxide인 것으로 나타났다. 소결하기 전의 TiO₂ 분말의 IR분석에서는 -OH, -CH₃ 등 유기물 그룹의 흡수 피크가 나타났으나 소결한 후의 시료에서는 그러한 피크가 나타나지 않았다. Rates of hydrolysis of titanium isopropoxide in isopropanol were investigated by UV spectroscopy. The change of reaction rate according to temperature and concentration of H₂O was calculated by Guggenheim method. From these results, it could be estimated that the hydrolysis of titanium isopropoxide was ?? mechanism involving both of titanium isopropoxide and H₂O. pH and temperature dependence of TiO₂ powder preparation were also investigated. Particle sizes and size distributions of dried powders were determined using size distribution analysis and SEM(scaning electron microscope), and the crystal phases in dried powder and in sintered powder were analyzed using powder XRD method. The reaction rate of TiO₂ powder preparation was faster at higher temperature and higher pH, however more agglomeration of particles occured at high temperature. The phase of dried powders was noncrystalline gel state but the sintering of the powder at 800℃ changed its phase to crystalline rutile or anatase. Absorption peaks of organic group such as -OH, -CH₃ in IR spectra of dried powder disappeared after sintering.

        With the progress of urbanization, industrialization and rapid increase in population, our country has been short of urban infrastructures, facilities and housing absolutely. A reconstruction is in force for only benefits due to high density development in low density residential area. Moreover it is inclined to exceed the housing supply than recovery of urban function or betterment of residential environment. So residential environments (like a right to enjoy sunshine, urban scenery, traffic jam, etc.) are getting worse, because they construct high-rise and high-density buildings without infrastructure. This study started to find and solve the reconstruction problems and exhibit the direction of prospective reconstruction with analysis and arrangement of quality between reconstruction and existing urban improvement systems with Tae-Jon as the study object. And this study tried to exhibit the betterment plan of reconstruction characters in view of urban improvement.

      • 스포츠 교류의 국제관계와 남북한 관계의 비교 연구

        When north and south Korea come to mutually recognize each other's social systems it when then be possible to initiate international sport exchanges in the same way that other countries do in international society. For the sake of the promotion of direct sports exchanges between north and south, a method of approchement which supercedes the typical international sport relationship is called for.First, this must exclude the use of politics. When north-south sports exchanges are used as a political tool to further the conflict between the two, or as a method of demonstrating the superiority of one system over the other, sincere sports exchanges become impossible. A way of bringing about pure sportsexchanges without any political overtones must be found. Second, individual contacts and exchanges must be increased. The most important building block in creating an atmosphere in which unification can take place is the fostering of mutual understanding through exchanges of individuals. It should be remembered that in the process of German unification, sports exchanges played a role in increasing contact through human exchange thus creating an stmosphere wherin unification could take place. In this same vein, sport exchanges might begin with the formation of a unified team for international competitions and develope into mass exchanges in sport for all programs. Third, restoration of the oneness of the Korean people can be attained. The ever widening gap between the systems in the north and south brought about by fifty years of separation is the biggest obstacle to reunification. North-south sport exchanges should be approached as a method of overcoming the divergence in the two systems and recovering the sense of oneness of the Korean people.

        특성 인식(Trait Recognition)을 통한 우리나라 은행산업의 건전성 평가

        본 논문은 개별은행의 건전성을 평가한 후 일정 은행군의 건전성을 평가할 수 있는 특성인식을 방법론으로 사용하여 우리니라 은행들의 건전성을 평가해 보았다. 표본 내 및 표본 외 자료를 이용한 본 논문의 실증결과에 따르면 특성모형은 미국과 유사하게 우리나라에서도 부실 및 건전은행을 적절히 구별해내며, 로짓 모형보다는 제 1종 및 2종 오류를 적절하게 조절하는 것으로 나왔다. 또한 본 논문에서 분석대상으로 설정한 변수들 가운데 자산건전성을 측정하는 지표인 X_(7)(무수익여신 비율), X_(8)(외화여신/총여신)과 수익성을 나타내는 지표인 X_(9)(순이자소득/총자산), X_(12)(영업이익/총수입), X_(13)(ROA), X_(14)(ROE)등은 은행의 도산가능성을 비교적 정확히 예측하는 변수로 나타났다. 이와 더불어 은행의 유동성을 나타내주는 지표인 X_(15)(유가증권/총자산), X_(16)(주식/총자산), X_(17)(회사채/총자산)등도 은행의 도산가능성을 정확히 예측하는 것으로 나타났으며, 은행의 생산성을 나타내주는 대표적인 지표인 X_(26)(총자산/종업원수), X_(27)(총대출/종업원수), X_(28)(총이익/종업원수)등도 은행의 건전성을 판별하는 데 유효한 변수로 나타났다. 이러한 변수에 대해서 97년 당시의 전체 20개 은행을 분류한 특성(features)을 이용해서 2003년 현재 은행의 건전도를 평가해 보았다. 이 결과 은행의 건전성이 97년보다 크게 개선된 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 외환 위기 이후 금융구조조정의 성과가 일정부분 있었던 것으로 보이며 향후 일정기간 동안 은행위기의 가능성은 낮은 것으로 판단된다. This paper seeks to ascertain the soundness of the Korean banking industry by applying an empirical method calledthe trait recognition model (TRM). We perform an empirical test with 20 banks; 10 failed banks and 10 non-failed banks. The sample is split into (1) an original sample used to build a classification model and (2) a holdout sample reserved for prediction purposes to determine the efficacy of the model. According to the empirical test, TRM identifies non-failed and failed banks relatively well, as it has done in the U.S. TRM also outperforms the logit model in terms of minimizing Type 1 (identifying a failed bank as non-failing) and TypeII( identifying a non-failed bank as failing) errors. The variables related to asset quality, profitability, and productivity predict banking failures relatively well. The variables for bank size, capital adequacy, diversification, and liability are less effective in predicting banking failures. We also evaluate the soundness of those banks that were still in operation at the end of 2002 based on variable bank features in the period of 1996-1997. We find that the soundness of most banks was relatively robust, though several banks still have problems with regard to their asset quality and profitability. Every bank is found to have maintained safe features on the variables related to productivity, which were considered most effective toward determining bank soundness. We believe this is mainly a result of improvements in productivity realized through bank restructuring and M&As.

      • 학생의 체질, 체력변화에 관한 종단적 조사 분석 : 초, 중, 고 학생을중심으로

        This study, the status of physique development, physical condition, physical strength by years, ages, and sexs, provided by the department of school physical education, local support bureau, ministry of education resulted from physique for 10 years from 1995 to 1995, change status of a physical condition and a physical strength for 10 years from 1985 to 1995 with the object of 100,580 students in total of 450 sample school for 10 years based on the result of physique, physical condition and six items of physical charter investigated by above mentioned authorities with the view of the examing the change of physique, physical condition, physical strength for the students' between the age of through 17 of the county wide elementary, middle, and high school vertically. 1. The change of the of physical condition A number of students' weak sight increased from 1.47% in 1985 to 3.40% in 1995 or 2.3 times. This means that it has increased 2.3 times compared with 10 years. Refracting deficiency increased from 8.16% in 1985 to 21.49% in 1995. This indicated that it has abruptly increased 2.6 times as many as 10 years period. As the result of 1995 investigation 3.4% of the country wide students' for 0.2 to 0.4% were proved to have the weak sight and 21.49% students' for 0.3% to 0.6% of the whole students', on top of these other students' proved to have the refracting deficiency including long sight and astigmatism students. Students' sight weakenization was more serious with the height of school years. The study was indication that about 13 students wore glasses in the case of the elementary school students', 32 students', and 32 in the case of the middle school and 42 of 100 students' in the case of the high school students' it was necessary for than to remedy their eye sight. The statistics of deceases about nose and neck including emphysema and the swollening of tonsil increased a little from 21% to 2.75% compared with 10 years ago. The study also showed diseases including caries increased a little to 51.2% from 50.06% in 1980. 1 can conclude the physical condition for students' continuesly go wrong. 2. The aspect of physical strength Change The change for the worse of all the events of students' over all the sports events shows the gradual of for all students'. Compared with 10 years before l00m running the male average record decreased 0.38sec, while it decreased to 0.71sec in the case of the female students', male students' pule-up decreased to 1.52 times and the record for female students' decreased to 2.91sec. The record of Hand throwing in the case of the male students' decreased 01.9m while in he case of female students' decreased to 1.66m and only the sit-up for the students' indicated the smiler number of it exceptionaly, However this part also indicated inferity compared with Ole record one year before. Standing broad jump indicated 3.16m Hl the case of male students' and 9.7cm decreas respectively in the case of female students' The physical measurement fields the list showing remarkable difference was the distance run. It's difference showed 24sec in the case of male students' and 25.Isec in the case of female students, compared with 10 years. This is the indication that the sustained power of adolescent's heart and lungs remarkably decreased.

      • 집적화된 실리콘 압력센서의 출력전압 보상파라미터 추출 및 그 특성

        An integrated silicon pressure sensor has been designed, fabricated and tested. The signal conditioning circuits were designed to include calibration and temperature compensation of output voltage through trimming of diffusion and ion-implanted resistors. Before trimming of resistors, the compensation parameters such as pressure sensitivity, temperature coefficient of pressure sensitivity, temperature coefficient of piezoresistors and pressure sensitivity of piezoresistors were measured. Then offset voltage, span, and temperature coefficients of offset voltage and span were calibrated by trimming of resistors. The measured output voltage met our design specification and simulation value above room temperature. But, the measured output voltage at -30°C deviated from our design specification and simulation value because the offset voltages were found to vary randomly as a function of temperature.
