In this study, we investigated response characteristics of liquid crystal display (LCD) with different operating mode of nematic liquid crystals (NLCs) such as 45 ° twisted nematic (TN), 67.3 ° TN and electrical controlled birefringence (ECB) on the rubbed polyimide (PI) surface with side chains. The pretilt angles generated on polyimide surfaces of the three kinds of LCD operating modes were about 12 ° that was higher than those of conventional TN-LCDs. Also, the Electro-optical (EO) performance of these LCDs showed stable condition. Low trans-mittance of the 45 ° TN and 67.3 ° TN cell on the rubbed PI surface were measured by using low cell gap d. The fast response time in ECB cell among the three kinds of LCD operating modes was achieved. Also, thermal ability of fast 90 ° TN-LCD was investigated. The thres-hold voltage and the response time of thermal stressed TN-LCDs showed the same performances on no thermal stressed TN-LCDs. There was little change of value in these TN cells. However, the transmittances of TN-LCDs on the rubbed PI surface decreased while increasing thermal stress time. Therefore, the thermal stability of TN-LCD was decreased by the high thermal stress for the long duration.

The purpose of this study was to parallel circuit training and circuit training with sonic systemic mechanism was to compare the differences in pulmonary function and chest expansion in adult men. This study was performed on 20 subjects. 20 subjects were divided into two groups; Circuit training group(n=10), Circuit training with sonic systemic mechanism(n=10). Both of the group performed the exercise 3 times a week for 5 weeks. The data was analyzed by the Repeated t-test for comparing before, during and after changes of factors in each group and the Independent t-test for comparing the between groups. The result are as follows. Circuit training group was statistically significant difference FVC, FEV1/FVC(p<.05), Circuit training with sonic systemic mechanism group was statistically significant difference PEF, VC in pulmonary function(p<.05). Circuit training group was statistically significant difference FEV1/FVC of between the two group in pulmonary function(p<.05). Circuit training group and circuit training with sonic systemic mechanism group was statistically significant difference in chest expansion(p<0.05) and there was no statistically significant difference of between the two group in chest expansion(p>.05).

Background: The epidemiologic and clinicopathologic features of cutaneous lymphoma (CL) may vary according to geographic area. Until now, a few large-scale epidemiological studies of CL have been performed mainly in USA and Europe. Objectives: The aim of this study is to demonstrate therecent epidemiology and clinicopathologic characteristics of CL in Korea according to WHO and EORTC classification.Methods: The patients newly diagnosed as CL from January 2009 to December 2013 at 32 tertiary institutes were enrolled and retrospectively reviewed. Results: Total 422 cases had been diagnosed as CL, with 333 cases of primary CL and 89 cases of secondary CL. Among primary CL, 293 cases (88%) were mature T-cell and natural killer (NK)-cell lymphoma, and mycosis fungoides was the most prevalent subtype. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) was most common among 39 cases (11.7%) of mature B-cell lymphoma.Conclusion: The incidence of mature B-cell lymphoma in Korea was lower than in Europe and USA. DLBCL was more prevalent subtype of mature B-cell lymphoma in Korea than in Western countries. In addition, the incidence of extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type was higher than in Western countries, and even Japan, although it has been decreased during recent 10 years.
This paper aims to empirically investigate the so-called China Effect on FDI competition in East Asia. Special attention will be given to the question of whether or not China monopolizes regional FDI inflows, thereby diverting FDIs from neighboring ASEAN countries; namely, does China``s FDI crowd out or crowd in FDIs in East Asia? Recognizing that most previous research utilized a gravity equation to explain FDI flows, although this has absolutely no theoretical foundation, this study attempts to apply a theory-based Knowledge-Capital Model. The model is further modified to incorporate preferential marketopenings by FTAs and BITs in that they can directly affect investment and trade costs in the model. Using country-pair FDI data for China and six large ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) with 34 FDI source countries during the period 1985-2010, panel analyses are carried out to examine the possible influence of China``s rise on the other countries`` FDI performance in East Asia under 4 different FDI-competition structures. The empirical results suggest that China``s rise does not pose a threat to neighboring ASEAN countries, but rather induces a strong synergetic effect on the FDI inflows into neighboring ASEAN countries. Thus, in attracting global FDI inflows, China and the ASEAN countries are not foes but friends.

Over the years, researchers have investigated to describe the changes in biomarkers of cardiac damage during recovery from strenuous and prolonged exercise events. A triathlon is an endurance sport-event, which includes swimming, cycling and running with various distances. This study was to investigate the effects of triathlon race on cardiac damage biomarkers in triathletes. Fifteen healthy men participated in the study. Based on performance, they were divided into elite athlete group (EG: n= 7) and non-elite athlete group (NEG: n= 8). Participants' blood samples were obtained during four periods: before, immediately, 2 hours and 7 days after finishing the race. creatine kinase (CK), creatine kinase-myoglobin (CK-MB), myoglobin, and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were significantly increased in both groups immediately after, and 2 hours after finishing the race (p<.05). CK, CK-MB, and myoglobin were completely recovered after 7 days (p<0.05). Hematocrit(Hct) was significantly decreased in both groups (p<0.05) 7 days after the race. LDH was significantly decreased in the EG (p<0.05) only 7 days after the race. Homoglobin(Hb) was significantly decreased in the NEG (p<0.05) only 2 hours after the race. Although cardiac troponin T(cTnT) was significantly increased in the EG but not in the NEG 2hours after the race (p<.05), there was no group-by-time interaction. cTnT was completely recovered in both groups 7 days after the race. In conclusion, although there is exercise-induced skeletal muscle damage shown by increased CK and CK-MB, cTnT was not increased in both groups immediately after the race. But there was the significant increase in cTnT after 2 hours in EG. We can suggest that it was due to the enormous exercise stress for high performance imposed in EG. However, all cardiac damage markers return to normal range within 1 week.
The purpose of this paper is to empirically analyze Korea's trade patterns based on the gravity model and to suggest possible ways to expand trade by identifying important factors determining Korea's bilateral trade flows. The gravity model assumes that trade flows between two countries are positively related to their economic size and negatively related to the distance between them. In this paper, new explanatory variables, such as the Trade conformity Index and APEC membership, were also included in order to examine the peculiarity of Korea's trade patterns ? whether they follow the Heckscher-Ohlin model or the Differentiated Product Model ? and to estimate the influence of a regional economic bloc on Korean bilateral trade flows. According to the regression results of the analysis, it was found that Korea's bilateral trade patterns fit the basic gravity model well and that inter-industry trade, as explained by the Hckscher-Ohlin model, is more prevalent in Korea's international trade. Therefore, in order to expand bilateral trade volumes, it spears to be more desirable for Korea to promote bilateral trade with countries in close proximity and having large economies. However, Korea's actual trade volumes, with countries like Japan and China which, in terms of economic size and distance, present greater advantages, seem to fall short of the trade volumes predicted by the gravity model. This implies that there are significant trade barriers between Korea and these countries. Therefore, by promoting a deeper form of trade liberalization with both Japan and China, Korea is expected to fully exploit its trade potentials and maximize the gains from trade.
