Golden Hamster 태반형성(胎盤形成)에 있어서 Autoradiography에 의한 분열세포(分裂細胞)의 소장(消長)

        이차수,Lee, Cha-Soo 대한수의학회 1983 大韓獸醫學會誌 Vol.23 No.1

The purpose of the present study is to determine variations in synthesis of DNA in the nuclei of various elements of the golden hamster (Mesocricetus auratus) placenta with increasing gestational age from the eighth day post coitus to parturition. The method employed for such determination was autoradiography following injection of pregnant animals with tritiated thymidine. From the results reported, the following points are concluded. The mitotic activities of the endodermal cells of the visceral yolk sac and of the parietal yolk sac, the trophoblastic cells of the labyrinth and the trophospongium and the giant cells were decreased with increasing gestational age, The placentation was nearly completed by day 13 of pregnancy and the increase in size of labyrinth was by appositional growth from the trophospongial cells. It was considered that the inner trophoblastic cells in the vicinity of the fetal blood vessels were originated from the pure chorion. The interrelation among the various cells and the polyploidal giant cells in the placenta were discussed.

Vol.27 No.2

This paper dealt with etiological studies on the acute fatal disease of Angora rabbits occurring as a group in Korea. The disease was confirmed as an acute infectious disease caused by virus. The results obtained were summarized as follows: The disease produced a high morbidity in the rearing Angora rabbits and a high mortality in the infected rabbits, and was acute. The infected rabbits died soon without premonitory signs after inappetence. The body temperature of the affected rabbits rose to $40^{\circ}C$ and nearly all deaths occurred within 48 hours after inoculation. In many cases a bloody foam was visible from the nostrils after death. According to the progress of the disease the nervous signs, such as ataxia, paralysis of the legs, and torticollis could be recognized in the some cases. Rabbits that had recovered from the disease were severe emaciation, and bristly and sparse hairs. In macroscopical findings, there were hemorrhage and edema of the lung, hemorrhage or hyperemia of the tracheal and broncheal mucosae, appearance of blood-tinged effusion in the respiratory tract. The principal lesions were found in the liver. Usually the lobular necrosis of the liver cells was progressed, and focal necrosis and hemorrhagic spots of various sizes were often observed in the liver. Liver was as a whole pale. In chronic cases, however, there was a slight liver cirrhosis with the atrophy of the parenchymal cells. The other lesions encountered grossly consisted of swelling and petechiae of the kidney, hyperemia and hemorrhage of the spleen, catarrh of the small intestine, and hyperemia of the brain. The urinary bladder contained a lot of turbid urine or bloody urine and urinary cast, and was distended with the urine. In microscopical findings, the most striking lesions occurred in the liver and may be classified as viral hepatitis. The hepatic lesions were initially characterized by progression from periportal to peripheral necrosis of the lobules with the infiltration of mononuclear cells. Focal necrosis of various sizes, hemorrhage and hyperemia were often observed in the hepatic lobules. In chronic cases, there were intensive infiltration of lymphocytes, proliferation of fibroblasts, appearance of plasmal cells, and atrophy of parenchymal cells in the hepatic tissue. Perivascular lymphocytic infiltration and meningitis were seen in the brain and spinal cord. In the kidney, there were acute glomerulonephritis, hemorrhage, necrosis of the uriniferous tubules, and retention of eosinophilic substance within the renal tubules. Proliferation of fibroblasts and infiltration of mono-nuclear cells were found in the interstitial stroma of the kidney in chronic case. There were also hemorrhage and edema in the lung, hyperemia and hemorrhage in the trachea and bronchus, perivascular lymphocytic infiltration and focal myocardial necrosis in the heart, hyperemia and hemorrhage in the spleen, vacuolization and desquamation of mucous epithelia in the urinary bladder, catarrhal inflammation of the small intestine, hemorrhage in the adrenal cortex and hyperemia in the other organs. In the electron microscopical findings of the hepatic tissue, crystals of viral particles appeared in the cytoplasm of the hepatocytes and the sinusoidal endothelial cells, and the viral particles, were small in size and polygonal. The authors suppose the virus may belong to picornaviridae family of RNA viruses. Also immature virus-like particles, dilated rough endoplasmic reticulum and destruction of nuclear membrane were seen in the hepatocytes. From these results, it is concluded that the sudden death is an acute viral disease characterized by hepatitis and the affected rabbits may be died of viremia.

        이차수,Lee, Cha-Soo 대한수의학회 1982 大韓獸醫學會誌 Vol.22 No.2

This paper dealt with the light microscopical and electron microscopical findings on the morphological changes of the liver of Korean native goat injected with toxin (culture filtrate) of Clostridium perfringens which was isolated from Korean native cattle died of acute Clostridium perfringens enterotoxemia. The results observed are summarized as follows. In the microscopical findings, hyperemia and minute hemorrhage of the liver parenchyma, dilatation of hepatic central vein and centrilobular necrosis of liver, cloudy swelling and hydropic degeneration of hepatic cells, and appearance of light eosinophilic granular bodies in the vacuoles were recognized. In the electron microscopical findings, appearance of pinocytotic vesicle (coated vesicle), fusion of these vesicles, formation of vacuole and accumulation of minute granular proteinous materials in the vacuole were observed in the hepatic cells. Decreased number of glycogen granules, swelling and destruction of mitochondria, proliferation of smooth-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum, enlargement of rough-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum, dispersal of thready agranular membranous structure and appearance of secondary lysosome were recognized in the hepatic cell cytoplasm.

        이차수,임창형,Lee, Cha Soo,Lim, Chang Hyeong 대한수의학회 1975 大韓獸醫學會誌 Vol.15 No.1

The authors believe that farm livestok will be greatly affected by the marked increasing use of organic phosphate. This study was carried out to observe the clinical signs and histopathological changes of mouse, guinea pig, hamster and rabbit that were orally administered with diazinon used usually as agricultural insecticide, and cholinesterase (ChE) activity was histochemically examined in the liver, heart, kidney, adrenal gland, duodenum and salivary gland of these experimental animals administered with diazinon. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Clinical signs such as dullness, severe salivation, ataxia, dyspnea, irregular slight convulsion and inappetance and as the histopathological changes cloudy swelling, congestion and hemorrhage of parenchymal organs, catarrh or local necrsois of the gastrointestinal tract, congestion or hemorrhage of the other organs were observed. Especially, hemorrhage of adrenal glands (rabbit, guinea pig) and pulmonary congestion and hemorrhage were necessarily constant. 2. In the histochemical study, ChE activity appeared intensely in the liver, heart, medulla of adrenal glands and salivary glands (submaxillary and parotid) of control animals, but ChE activity was negative or markedly decreased in experimental animals administered with diazinon. There was no marked difference between the control and experimental animals in ChE activity of the kidney. 3. Histochemical observation of ChE activity was helpful to explain the clinical signs and histopathological changes and was regarded as a diagnostic method for organic phosphate poisoning.

Nitrate poisoning was observed in Holstein calves raising for beef purpose in a dairy-farm of Gyeongbug province. The results observed were summarized as follows: 1. These calves had been fed mainly cornstalk, and a qualitative reaction by "dephenylamine blue test" for nitrate was positive in the serum of the affected calves and in the cornstalk provided. 2. In the clinical signs, the affected calves were suddenly recumbent without premonition and then dyspnea, followed by death. Death also occurred after inappetence, depression, dyspnea, cyanosis of mucous membrane, and terminal anoxic convulsions were observed. 3. In the macroscopical findings, the blood was dark brown (chocolate in color) and more or less poor coagulative. Petechiae of epicardium, severe cloudy swelling of liver, cloudy swelling and hemorrhage of kidney, congestion and hemorrhage of spleen, congestion and edema of lung, and congestion af abomasum and small intestine were observed in these cases. 4. Microscopical changes observed in these cases were peripheral congestion of lobules, centrilobular necrosis and sinusoidal dilatation in liver, hydropic degeneration of hepatic cells, hemorrhage and edema of kidney, necrosis of convoluted-tubular epithelium, and dilatation of Bowman's space and convoluted tubule. There were also congestion and hemorrhage of spleen, hemorrhage and edema of lung, cloudy swelling of myocardium, and congestion and hemorrhage of various organs.

One hundred and eighteen cultures of Gram-negative rods isolated from cases of clinical bovine mastitis during lactation were examined for distribution of specific types, and activity of several antimicrobial agents to the isolates was determined by two-fold tube dilution method employing sterile whole milk as fluid medium. Of the isolates, 59.2% were Escherichia coli. Most of the remaining isolates were Klebsiella pneumoniae and Enterobacter aerogenes. Most Gram-negative rods(89.8%) were isolated from acute local and chronic mastitis. The cases of peracute systemic form with a marked symptoms of toxemia were associated with Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. The minimal lethal concentrations (MLC) of gentamicin and oxolinic acid in sterile whole milk were 16-128 times higher than the MLC obtained in trypticase soy broth (TSB), while the MLC of ampicillin and tetracycline in milk increased 2-4 times compared with TSB. Of the drugs tested, gentamicin was the most active antibiotics with MLC of $100{\mu}g/ml$ in sterile whole milk against all of Gram-negative rods isolated from bovine udder infections.
