We examine the merits and demerits of various management methods of sewage works in Kimhae city. It is desirable to select the most efficient management method by comparing the cost-benefits of various ones. The most appropriate one can change drastically, depending on which criteria we would use to select. Even though the selection based on quantitative analysis is most desirable to employ, we can not develop any quantitative analysis of various management methods. Instead of quantitative analysis, we employ a qualitative analysis. The public financial condition of Kimhae city, the availability of technicians and the existing public utilities in Kimhae city are the most important factors that can affect the selection of the management method of sewage works in Kimhae city. We conclude that the sewage works in Kimhae city should be operated in the form of a local public corporation.
腹內側 및 背外側 腦 中隔損傷 흰쥐의 兩方回避學習 行動

수술통제군과 복내측 중격 손상군 및 배외측 중격 손상군의 흰쥐들에게 양방 왕복회피상자를 사용하여 5회기의 조건회피학습을 시켰다. 이 회기는 40시행으로 이루어 졌으며 24시간 간격을 두고 실시되었다. 중격 손상이 조건회피반응(CAR)의 학습을 촉진시켰다. 그러나 복내측 손상군과 배외측 손상군 사이에는 의의있는 차이가 없었다. 두개의 학습 지표 즉 회기내 향상지표(W)와 회기간 향상지표(I)들은 회피성적과 의의있는 관계성을 보이지 못했다. 운동활동 측정에서는 중격손상흰쥐들이 5회의 조건 형성회기중 시행간에 양쪽 회피상자를 왕복한 회수가 통제군동물들보다 의의있게 높았다. 이 결과는 중격 손상이 조건회피반응 학습과 전기충격후의 운동활동에 촉진적인 영향을 미쳤음을 의미한다. 따라서 중격 손상 흰쥐들이 조건회피학습에서 향상을 보인다는 사실을 설명하는데 있어서 행동동결가설의 타당성을 지지해 준다. Rats of sham operated, ventromedial and dosolateral septal lesions groups were submitted to 5 conditioning sessions in a two-way shuttle box. The sessions were separated by a 24hr-interval. Septal lesion significantly facilitated CAR acquisition, but there was no significant difference between the two septal lesion groups. The within-session progression index(W) and inter-session progression index(Ⅰ) were not correlated with avoidance performance. Two groups of ablated animals showed significantly higher number of intertrial crossings during the 5 conditioning sessions than the sham-operated animals. It was concluded that septal lesion exerts facilitatory influence upon CAR acquisition and motor activity following electric shock. These results support the "freezing hypothesis" in the explanation of the enhanced active-avoidance performance of the rats with septal lesions.

Physical properties of discarded dusts from LT system of converter were studied to find the possibility of their reusage, such as size distribution, chemical composition according to size distribution, and phase analysis by X-ray diffraction. The leaching test by H_2SO_4 showed that the recovery of FeSO_4·7H_2O from LT dust was 75% and the quality of this sulfate was commercial grade.
필기체 숫자인식의 최적 신경망 구조 설계를 위한 개선된 유전자 알고리즘

본 논문에서는 필기체 숫자인식의 최적 신경망 구조 설계를 위하여 유전자 알고리즘과 역전파 알고리즘을 병합하는 방법을 이용하였으며, 유전자 알고리즘은 유전인자의 역할에 따라 독립적으로 적응하는 개선된 선택, 교배, 돌연변이 연산자를 제안하였다. 실험결과는 유전인자의 역할에 적응하는 개선된 연산자들의 실행으로 최적의 신경망 구조를 설계하였고, 설계된 신경망 구조에서의 학습이 가장 좋은 성능을 나타내었다. In this study, the method of using both genetic algorithm and back propagation is proposed to design the structure of optimal neural network recognizing handwritten digits. Improved selection, crossover and mutation operator which can control the genetic algorithm independently according to the role of gene are used in the proposed method. Simulation result shows that the neural network of this method can search effectively the optimal hidden node numbers, connection weight, learning rate and the momentum because of above proposed operators.
폐경후 여성에서 치료 약제에 따른 부위별 골밀도의 변화

Because of the prolongation of life span, the postmenopausal osteoporosis is a serious health problem, which needs active preventive and conservative measures. Recent evidence suggests that estrogen replacement therapy .(ERT), calcitonin, bisphosphonate and ipriflavone treatments are effective in preventing bone loss in postmenopausal women. In this study, we evaluated the effects of estrogen, ipriflavone, and combined therapy with estrogen and ipriflavone to BMD in various bone sites (lumbar spine, femoral neck and Ward's triangle). Forty-eight patients were devided into 3 groups by treatment modalities which are estrogen and ipriflavone group (n=12). After basal bone mineral desity (BMD) were determined by DEXA. (Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. Lunar Radiation Corp. U. S. A. ), the patient were received medication according to each treatment protocol. The patients with estrogen treatment group were 2mg estradiol and 10mg of medroxy progesterone for 21 days a month. The patients of ipriflavone treatment group were received 600mg daily. The patients with combined therapy with estrogen and ipriflavone were received same dose of other two treatment groups. The BMD after treatment were compaired with basal BMD. The results were as follows. 1) The BMD in lumbar spine and femoral neck were significantly increased after estrogen treatment. 2) The BMD in lumar spine was significantly increased after ipriflavone treatment but the BMD in femoral neck and Ward's triangle were not increased with ipriflavone treatment. 3) After combined therapy with estrogen and ipriflavone, the BMD in each sites were increased and the BMD in Ward's triangle was more incresed than estrogen or ipriflavone treatment alone. In conclusion, estrogen prevented cortical bone and trabecular bone loss. ipriflavone prevented trabecular bone loss. The combination with estrogen and ipriflavone was increased effects of estrogen to prevent trabecular bone loss.
상부위장관 출혈을 일으킨 Warfarin Sodium에 의한 위점막내 혈종 1예

A case of warfarin sodium-induced intramural hematoma and upper gastrointestinal bleeding is described, and the literature on this adverse effect is reviewed. A 83-year-old woman who has been receiving warfarin came to a emergency room because of hematemesis. She had a history of cerebral infarction. Physical examination was anemic conjunctiva, no abdominal mass and melena. The emergency gastroscopic finding was submucosal mass. Her hemoglobin and hematocrit concentration had falled to 6.7g/㎗ and 20%, Her prothrombin time (PT) was 130 sec and partial prothrombin time (aPTT) was 133 sec. The patient underwent an emergency exploratory laparotomy. The name of operation was hemigastrectomy with gastrojejunostomy(Billorth-Ⅱ). The pathology report indicated the presence of submucosal hematoma formation with mucosal ischemic necrosis and mucosal ulceration and regenerating epithelium.
직류 서보 전동기를 대상으로한 적응퍼지속도제어기의 설계

This paper presents a study of the performance of a DC servo motor with a model reference adaptive fuzzy speed controller (MRAFSC) in the presences of load disturbances. MRAFSC comprised inner feedback loop consisting of the fuzzy logic controller (FLC) and plant, and outer loop consisting of an adaptation mechanism which is designed for tuning a control rule of the FLC. Experimental results show the good performance in the DC servo motor system with the proposed adaptive fuzzy controller.

The study aimed to analyse and compare the various kinematic variables of Croise´ motion with A la seconde motion in order to provide improve-ment of understanding in the technique of ballet. And Fouett´ motion was divided into LSI(i.e., Leg-Stretching motion: A la seconde in French), LBI(i.e., Leg-Banding motion: Coupe´ in French), LS2 and LB2. To achieve of such the purpose, six ballerina were sampled as subjects with 5-year career at university and the motions were required to be performed as quickly and stably as possible. The motions were analysed using the DLT method of three-dimensional cinematography. The principal kinematic variables for comparative analysis between Croise´ and A la seconde were as such: spent time, c.o.g distance, angular velocity of both arms, lean angle, hip joint angle and height of c.o.g. As a result of analyzing the data, the following conclusions were drawn. 1. The overall duration of Croise´ is less than that of A la seconde, but there was no significant difference two motions. 2. C.O.G. distance in Croise´ in view of horizontal plane tend to be shorter than that in A la seconde, but there was no significant difference between two motions. 3. The angular velocity of right arm in Croise´ is larger than that in A la seconde only at LS. There was no significant difference in the angular velocity of left arm in two motions, but the angular velocity f left arm in A la seconde tend to be larger than that in Croise´both at LSI and at LS2. and the angular velocity of left arm un Croise´ tend to be larger than that in A la seconde both at LB1 at LB2. 4. There was no significant difference in the lean angle and right hip joint angle between two motions. But the lean angle of Croise´ tend to be larger than that of A la seconde and the right hip joint angle of Croise´ tend to be larger than that of A la seconde. The right knee joint angle of Croise´ was larger than that of A la seconde at LS1 which proved to be significant difference between two motions. At other factors, there was no significant difference, but the right knee joint angle of A la seconde tend to be larger than that of Croise´. 5. There was significant difference between two motion at all factors on the height of c.o.g.. The height of c.o.g. of Croise´ tend to be higher than that of A la seconde at LS1 and at LS2. Besides, the height of c.o.g. of A la seconde tend to be higher than that of Croise´ at LB1 and at LB2.

Micromechanical structures such as cantilever beams and bridge array (~μm thick, 100~500 μm long) were fabricated by formation of porous silicon layer. The beam array of n/p samples have irregular etched surface and cusp. On the otherhand, beams of n/n^(+)/n structure have clear etched surface and no cusp.

To evaluate experimental kanamycin - induced ototoxicity, changes of hearing loss were observed after administration of kanamycin in guinea pig, using auditory brainstem rcsponse(ABR) audiometry. Kanamycin(KM), 50mg/kg/day(group I), 100mg/kg/day(group Ⅱ), 200mg/kg/day(group Ⅲ) and 400mg/kg/day(group IV), was injected intramuscularly in each group and ABR thresholds were measured every other days through 50 days after the initial administration of KM. The injection of KM was discontinued at the day when the ABR threshold was increased more than 40 dB in each guinea pig. After the discontinuation of KM injection, ABR thresholds recovered progrssively to the base line level before the day 50 in group I and Il. But the ABR threshold changes were progressed after discontinuation of KM injection and finally they showed no responses in group III and IV. The results suggested that high dose KM administration could result progressive and irreversible hearing loss after the discontinuation of KM administration.
