<P>Summary</P><P>MADS-domain transcription factors play pivotal roles in various developmental processes. The lack of simple loss-of-function phenotypes provides impediments to understand the biological function of some of the MADS-box transcription factors. Here we have characterized the potential role of the <I>Arabidopsis thaliana AGAMOUS-LIKE6</I> (<I>AGL6</I>) gene by fusing full-length coding sequence with transcriptional activator and repressor domains and suggest a role for <I>AGL6</I> in lateral organ development and flowering. Upon photoperiodic induction of flowering, <I>AGL6</I> becomes expressed in abaxial and proximal regions of cauline leaf primordia, as well as the cryptic bracts subtending flowers. In developing flowers, <I>AGL6</I> is detected in the proximal regions of all floral organs and in developing ovules. Converting <I>AGL6</I> into a strong activator through fusion to the VP16 domain triggers bract outgrowth, implicating <I>AGL6</I> in the development of bractless flowers in Arabidopsis<I>.</I> In addition, ectopic reproductive structures form on both bracts and flowers in <I>gAGL6::VP16</I> transgenic plants, which is dependent on B and C class homeotic genes, but independent of <I>LEAFY.</I> Overexpression of both <I>AGL6</I> and its transcriptional repressor form, <I>AGL6::EAR</I>, causes precocious flowering and terminal flower formation, suggesting that <I>AGL6</I> suppresses the function of a floral repressor.</P>

We search for lepton flavor violating τ decays into three leptons (electron or muon) using 535 fb-1 of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. No evidence for these decays is observed, and we set 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions of (2.0-4.1)x10-8. These results improve upon our previously published upper limits by factors of 4.9 to 10.

We report measurements and searches for resonant B+/-->K+/-h->K+/-γγ decays where h is a η, η', ηc, ηc(2S), χc0, χc2, J/ψ meson or the X(3872) particle. The results are based on a data sample containing 535 million BB@? pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- asymmetric-energy collider operating at the @?(4S) resonance. Signals are observed in the modes with η and η', and we obtain evidence for a signal in the mode with ηc. We measure B(B+/-->K+/-η->K+/-γγ)=(0.87-0.15+0.16(stat)-0.07+0.10(syst))x10-6, B(B+/-->K+/-η'->K+/-γγ)=(1.40-0.15+0.16(stat)-0.12+0.15(syst))x10-6 and B(B+/-->K+/-ηc->K+/-γγ)=(0.22-0.07+0.09(stat)-0.02+0.04(syst))x10-6. We set upper limits on the branching fractions of the other modes.

We search for lepton-flavor-violating τ->@?V0 decays, where @? is an electron or muon and V0 is one of the vector mesons ρ0, φ, ω, K@?0 and K@?@?0. We use 854 fb-1 of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. No evidence for a signal is found in any decay mode, and we obtain 90% confidence level upper limits on the individual branching fractions in the range (1.2-8.4)x10-88.
Belle Collaboration,Vinokurova, A.,Kuzmin, A.,Eidelman, S.,Arinstein, K.,Aulchenko, V.,Aushev, T.,Bakich, A.M.,Balagura, V.,Barberio, E.,Belous, K.,Bhardwaj, V.,Bondar, A.,Bozek, A.,Bracko, M.,Brodzic North-Holland Pub. Co 2011 Physics letters: B Vol.706 No.2
We report the results of a study of B+/-→K+/-ηc and B+/-→K+/-ηc(2S) decays followed by ηc and ηc(2S) decays to (KSKπ)0. The results are obtained from a data sample containing 535 million BB@?-meson pairs collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB e+e- collider. We measure the products of the branching fractions B(B+/-→K+/-ηc)B(ηc→KSK+/-π@?)=(26.7+/-1.4(stat)-2.6+2.9(syst)+/-4.9(model))x10-6 and B(B+/-→K+/-ηc(2S))B(ηc(2S)→KSK+/-π@?)=(3.4-1.5+2.2(stat+model)-0.4+0.5(syst))x10-6. Interference with the non-resonant component leads to significant model uncertainty in the measurement of these product branching fractions. Our analysis accounts for this interference and allows the model uncertainty to be reduced. We also obtain the following charmonia masses and widths: M(ηc)=(2985.4+/-1.5(stat)-2.0+0.5(syst)) MeV/c2, Γ(ηc)=(35.1+/-3.1(stat)-1.6+1.0(syst)) MeV/c2, M(ηc(2S))=(3636.1-4.2+3.9(stat+model)-2.0+0.7(syst)) MeV/c2, Γ(ηc(2S))=(6.6-5.1+8.4(stat+model)-0.9+2.6(syst)) MeV/c2.

KS0KS0 production in two-photon collisions has been studied using a 397.6 fb-1 data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- collider. For the first time the cross sections are measured in the two-photon center-of-mass energy range between 2.4 GeV and 4.0 GeV and angular range |cosθ*|<0.6. Combining the results with measurements of γγ->K+K- from Belle, we observe that the cross section ratio σ(KS0KS0)/σ(K+K-) decreases from ∼0.13 to ∼0.01 with increasing energy. Signals for the χc0 and χc2 charmonium states are also observed.
