      • Polycaprolactone(PCL)/탄산칼슘 복합체의 물성 및 내후성 연구

        Polycaprolactone(PCL)/Master Batch(MB) composite was made by blending PCL and MB. The major component of MB is calcium carbonate(CaCO3). Wheatherability, thermal properties, mechanical properties and water absorption were investigated in PCL/MB composite. Stress and strain at break were decreased but Young's modulus was comparatively maintained as the time of outdoor exposure was increased. The mechanical properties of PCL/MB composite were decreased as the content of MB was increased and the parallel samples were better than transverse samples in stress at break, strain at break and Young's modulus. The melting temperature of PCL/MB composite was about 57℃. The water absorption of PCL/MB was higher than PCL. but the change of water absorption by the content of MB could be ignored because the total water absorption of PCL/MB composite was not reached at 1%.

      • 생분해성 플라스틱이 포함된 유기성 생활 쓰레기의 퇴비화

        준 생산용 퇴비화 장치를 이용하여 생분해성 플라스틱을 포함하는 유기성 도시생활쓰레기기의 퇴비화를 연구하였다. 유기성 도시생활쓰레기는 실제 도시생활쓰레기 구성비에서 무기물을 제외한 유기성 물질만의 비로 만들어 사용하였다. 유기성 도시생활쓰레기를 구성하는 각각의 물질에 대한 생분해도를 ISO법으로 측정하였고, 퇴비의 화학적 물리적 특성도 조사하였다. 구성 물질에 대한 생분해도 결과에서, 생분해성 고분자를 포함한 각 물질들은 퇴비화에 충분한 생분해도를 나타내는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한, 유기성 도시 생활쓰레기로부터 비독성의 퇴비를 얻을 수 있음을 알았다. The composting study of organic municipal solid waste containing biodegradable plastic was performed by using pilot scale composting apparatus. The organic municipal solid waste(OMSW) was artificially prepared for composting. The composition of artificial OMSW was the same as that of real municipal solid waste excluding inorganic waste. The biodegradability of individual component of OMSW was studied according to the ISO method. The chemical and physical characteristics were also observed. Biodegradability study revealed that every component of OMSW including biodegradable plastic had sufficient degradability for real composting. And it was found that non-toxic compost could be produced from OMSW containing biodegradable plastic.

      • 탄산칼슘이 포함된 HDPE 필름의 광산화후 생분해

        대량생산 체제에서 기계적 산화 공정을 응용하여 공기 분위기에서 광분해성 마스터 뱃치(M/B)를 제조하였다. 제조된 M/B가 40 중량 % 첨가된 광분해성 HDPE 얇은 필름을 인플레이션 법으로 제조하였다. 필름의 광분해성을 시험하기 위하여 필름을 옥외에 노출시켜 기계적 물성 및 필름의 화학적 변화를 FTIR을 사용하여 관찰했다. 생분해 실험은 인큐베이터 및 토양 매립 실험을 동시에 실시했다. 광분해성 필름을 옥외 태양광 노출을 각각 0, 14, 28, 42일간 수행한 후 미생물 배양 시험을 행했다. 미생물 배양 시험에서 필름의 표면에 미생물의 성장과 포자의 형성을 관찰할 수 있었고 옥외 노출 기간이 증가함에 따라 필름 표면에 미생물의 성장이 증대되는 것을 관찰했다. 토양에 매립된 필름에서도 약간의 화학적인 변화를 관찰할 수 있었다. Photodegradable commercial master batch(M/B) was prepared by using mechanical oxidation during melt mixing with high shear under air environment. High density polyethylene(HDPE) thin film containing 40 wt % photodegradable M/B was prepared by inflation film processing. The film was exposed to the sunlight to observe the photodegradability. The degradability of film was determined by the loss of tensile properties and degradation was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy. Biodegradation of exposed and unexposed film was investigated by microbiological test and soil burial test, respectively. Photodegradable film(P-1) was exposed for periods of 0, 14, 28, 42 days before being mixed with fungi. It was found that microorganisms(fungi) growth on the surface of film was augmented as sunlight exposed time increased. Soil buried film showed the chemical changes of matrix polymer.

      • 분해성 폴리에틸렌 필름의 생분해 및 광분해성에 관한 연구

        Photo-biodegradable master batch was prepared by using mechanical and thermal oxidation that in general occur during polymer processing operation. Master batches were prepared by melt mixing in air circumstance, respectively. High density polyethylene(HDPE) sheets containing 20 wt.% photo-biodegradable M/Bs were prepared by compression molding and we observed the photodegradability under the mercury-vapor lamp. The sheet of containing M/B prepared above 95% of its original elongation and very brittle within 120 hours irradiation, however, pure HDPE sheet still retained about 80% original elongation for 120 hours irradiation. Under the natural sunlight, photo-biodegradable HDPE films lost about 98% of its original elongation at break for 8weeks outdoor exposure in summer. The common film still retained 75% of its original elongation at the same period. Surface morphology of the films was examined by using scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The effects of water on the mechanical properties and morphology of film were examined during the irradiation. In the case of biodegradation test, incubator test were performed simultaneously. Microorganism (fungi) growth in photo-biodegradable film surface was augmented by exposed time increasingly.

      • 주쇄에 긴 유연 사슬을 갖는 열방성 액정고분자의 유변학적 특성 및 물성

        Two thermotropic homopolymers and copolymer based on two bisphenol monomers and terephthaloyldichloride were prepared via melt polymerization. The optical characteristics of polymers were nematic thread schlieren textures. Fibers from liquid crystalline polymers were spun at the mesophase of molten state. The flow curve showed yield stress and the fibers based on such polymer had high tensile moduulus. Those mechanical properities could be explained by the relaxation times of polymers and X-ray patterns of fibers.

        人蔘이 卵巢摘出로 誘發된 흰쥐의 骨多孔症 예방에 미치는 효능

        Objectives : The present study has been undertaken to investigate the effects of Ginseng Radix on prevention of osteoporosis in ovariectomized rats. Methods : In this experiment, the rats were ovariectomized. Rats were administered by 2 kinds of medicine, Estradiol, Ginseng Radix. The levels of bone mineral density, osteocalcin, ALP, phosphorus, calcium in serum, deoxypyridinoline in urine, calcium, phosphorus, ash weight of bone, body weight and uterus weight were measured. Results : The levels of spinal bone mineral density was significantly increased in comparison with OVX group at 8 weeks in Ginseng Radix group. The levels of serum didn t show significant change in comparison with OVX group in Ginseng Radix group. The levels of urine deoxypyridinoline showed significant decrease in comparison with OVX group in Ginseng Radix group. The levels of femoral and fibula-tibial ash weight didn t show significant increase in comparison with OVX group in Ginseng Radix group. The levels of femoral and fibula-tibial calcium showed significant increase in comparison with OVX group in Ginseng Radix group. The levels of femoral and fibula-tibial phosphorus showed significant increase in comparison with OVX group in Ginseng Radix group. The levels of body weight didn t show significant changes in comparison with OVX group in Ginseng Radix group. The levels of uterus weight didn t show significant changes in comparison with OVX group in Ginseng Radix group. Conclusions : Reviewing these experimetal results, it appears that Ginseng Radix have efficacy on prevention of osteoporosis. And further study should be conducted to illustrate in depth the curing and prevention of osteoprosis.

      • 수용성 및 가식성 콩 단백질/�틴 블렌드 필름 제조 및 물성 연구

        The manufacture of edible/biodegradable films or coatings can potentially add value to soy protein, Such films can find using as edible or nonedible food packaging materials. The effect of soy protein film-forming solutions on film formation, tensile properties of soy protein/pectin blend films were changed significantly by the amount of glycerol and the ratio of soy protein/pectin. Moreover mechanical properties of soy protein/pectin-montmorillonite clay have been studied. Tensile strength and modulus decreases as the relative humidity increased while with increasing relative humidity elongation at break increased.

      • 퇴비화법에 의한 플라스틱 필름의 생분해도 연구

        Aerobic composting apparatus was set up using International Organization for Standardization(ISO) and ultimate biodegradability of plastic films was evaluated by measurement of released carbon dioxide at the end of test. Test materials were polycaprolactone(PCL), PCL/starch composite with various composition, photo-degradable, bio-destructible film, and high density polyethylene(HDPE) film. After 45 days, PCL and PCL/starch(70/30) composite films were degraded to 37% and 60%, respectively. This fact revealed that starch in PCL elevated the biodegradability of matrix PCL. Although photo-degradable and bio-destructible films also evolved carbon dioxide, matrix polymer(HDPE) was not degraded by microorganisms in compost. This fact was indirectly supported thermogravimetric analysis and morphology of film before and after composting.

      • PLA/TPS 블렌드의 물성과 형태학에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 polylactide(PLA)/thermoplastic starch(TPS) 블렌드를 3가지 공정으로 제조하여 블렌드의 물성과 형태학의 변화를 조사하였다. 본 목적을 위하여 PLA와 TPS를 이축압출기로 단순히 블렌드한 단순 블렌드, PLA를 TPS와 블렌드하기 전에 maleic anhydride와 개시세로 먼저 말레익화 시킨 maleated PLA (MPLA)를 TPS와 블렌드한 MPLP/TPS 블렌드와 PLA, TPS, MA 및 개시제를 동시에 브렌드하는 in-situ PLA/TPS 블렌드를 제조하였다. DSC로 측청한 유리전이온도(Tg)의 변화가 없는 것으로 보아 블렌드 공정에 따른 상용성의 변화는 없었다 인장강도와 탄성율은 TPS의 함량에는 의존하나 블렌딩 공정에는 영향이 없었다. 형태학의 변화는 블렌딩 공정에 따라 큰 변화를 보였다. In-situ PLA/TPS 블렌드의 경우 분산상의 크기가 고르고 분산이 잘되었으며 계면접착 또한 아주 좋았다. 이는 상분리는 일어나지만 기계적 상용성이 있음을 보여준다. To study the effect of blending process on the properties and morphology of PLA/TPS blends, simple PLA/TPS blend, maleated PLA/TPS blend, and in-situ PLA/TPS/MA/initiator blend were prepared. Glass transition temperature of PLA in blends was not changed by the blending process and the composition of TPS. This may be the lack of compatibility between PLA and TPS. Tensile strength and modulus of blends were depend on the composition of TPS whereas, blending process did not effect on the tensile properties. The morphology of blends was highly depends on the blending process. In situ blend showed a good dispersion of TPS in matrix and a good interfacial adhesion between TPS and PLA matrix. This may be mechanically compatible but phase-separated.

      • 생분해성 펙틴/전분 블렌드 필름의 물성

        요약문 가소제로 글리세롤과 물을 사용하여 펙틴/전분 블렌드를 이축압출기를 이용하여 제조하였다. 펙틴/전분 비와 가소제의 함량을 변화시킨 블렌드는 열가소성 성질을 보였으며, 펙틴/전분비가 아주 높은 블렌드는 열가소성 성질이 약하였다. 필름은 필름다이를 장착한 일축압출기로 제조하고, 필름에 포함된 수분은 진공오븐으로 증발 시켰다. 필름의 인장 물성은 가소제인 글리세롤의 함량과 건조후 대기 중에서 흡수한 수분의 량에 따라 크게 변화하였으나, 팩틴/전분비와 초기에 가소제로 첨가한 물의 함량변화에는 영향이 적었다. 열분석기는 블렌드에 결정이 남아있는 흡열 곡선을 보이지 않았다. Abstract The blend of pectin, starch, glycerol, and water wasprepared by using a twin-screw extruder. The ratio of pectin/starch, glycerol content,and water content were varied. Most of these blends had a good thermoplasticity, but very higher pectin/starch ratio blends showed a poor thermoplasticity. The film was prepared by using a single-screw extruder with slit die and then dried film much depend on the glycerol content and water absorption, while pectin/starch ratio and water content added at mixing had less effecton the tensile properties. DSC thermogram did not show any kind of endothermic of crystal melting.
