Due to the angle of view, illumination and scene diversity, real-time dynamic face detection and recognition is no small difficulty in those unrestricted environments. In this study, we used the intrinsic correlation between detection and calibration, using a multi-task cascaded convolutional neural network(MTCNN) to improve the efficiency of face recognition, and the output of each core network is mapped in parallel to a compact Euclidean space, where distance represents the similarity of facial features, so that the target face can be identified as quickly as possible, without waiting for all network iteration calculations to complete the recognition results. And after the angle of the target face and the illumination change, the correlation between the recognition results can be well obtained. In the actual application scenario, we use a multi-camera real-time monitoring system to perform face matching and recognition using successive frames acquired from different angles. The effectiveness of the method was verified by several real-time monitoring experiments, and good results were obtained.

Small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises involve a lot of customized products. The degree of adaptability should be noted while improving product design and manufacturing digital and intelligent levels. This paper presents a process sequencing method of manufacturing features based on the node importance of a complex network. The method is based on the adjacency matrix and connected graph to analyze the process constraint semantics of the product model. The adjacency matrix expresses the positioning dimensions between features. The connected graph is applied to define the constraint relationships between features and aggregate the multi-dimensional process dimension chain in all directions. Based on the processing sequence of node importance in a complex network, most of process planning can be realized. The method also can make adaptive decisions for different structural parts and monitor the machining of key features. Examples verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.

An unreported disease of garlic was observed in commercial fields in Jiangsu province, China. The symptoms started as water soaked lesions at the base of the leaves. Later, water-soaked areas developed on stems and spread to the internal tissues, followed by yellowing and necrosis along leaf edges and soft rot of the stems. The causal organism isolated from symptomatic plants was identified as Pseudomonas fluorescens based on its biochemical and physiological characteristics and confirmed by the cellular fatty acid composition and Biolog data as well as 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. The bacterial isolates caused similar symptoms when inoculated onto garlic plants. In addition, leek and shallot were susceptible to the P. fluorescens pathogen. However, the P. fluorescens pathogen failed to cause any symptoms when it was inoculated onto 15 other plants. This is the first report of a bacterial disease of garlic caused by P. fluorescens in China.

Huang, Bin,Fontaine, Nicolas K.,Ryf, Roland,Guan, Binbin,Leon-Saval, Sergio G.,Shubochkin, R.,Sun, Y.,Lingle, R.,Li, Guifang The Optical Society 2015 Optics express Vol.23 No.1

We demonstrate the first all-fiber mode-group-selective photonic lantern using multimode graded-index fibers. Mode selectivity for mode groups LP(01), LP(11) and LP(21)+LP(02) is 20-dB, 10-dB and 7-dB respectively. The insertion loss when butt coupled to multimode graded-index fiber is below 0.6-dB. The use of the multimode graded-index fibers in the taper can significantly reduce the adiabaticity requirement.

We here report a rare case of pyrrolidine-alkaloid-induced hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (PA-HSOS) complicated with situs inversus totalis and portal vein thrombus (PVT). The patient had abdominal distention and ascites, which were not responsive to conservative medical treatment or peritoneal drainage. Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) was successfully performed in the patient via the left internal jugular vein approach. After the procedure, abdominal distension and ascites gradually resolved. The TIPS procedure could be considered as a useful treatment for PA-HSOS patients with PVT.

Blends of poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) and a functional ionic liquid (IL), 3-methyl-1-(ethoxycarbonylethyl) imidazoliumtetrafluoroborate ([AOEMIm][BF4]) with various weight ratios were prepared by melt compounding andtheir interactions, compatibilities, processing characteristics, crystallization behaviors, mechanical properties and thermaldegradation were investigated in this study. The interaction between PLLA and [AOEMIm][BF4] was first studiedby infrared spectroscopy (IR) investigation, and then the Flory-Huggins interaction parameter between PLLA and[AOEMIm][BF4] was calculated. The compatibility was also supported by both sample appearance and scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM) results. Crystallization and melting conditions were obtained from differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), and the glass transition temperature (Tg) of PLLA showed a gradual decrease with the increasing addition of[AOEMIm][BF4]. The balancing torque data were obtained by Haaker torque rheometry, and the molecular weight data ofprocessed PLLA obtained by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) tests reflected a positive effect of [AOEMIm][BF4]on the melt-processing of PLLA. A strong increase of the mechanical parameters of PLLA, such as the elongation atbreak and the impact strength, was observed with the incorporation of [AOEMIm][BF4] up to the content of 7 phr (phris the abbreviation for parts per hundreds of resin, n phr denoted n g IL/100 g PLLA), while the tensile strength decreasedslightly. The thermal stability of PLLA took a sustained downward trend, with the increasing contents of [AOEMIm][BF4] inits matrices, as presented from thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). PLLA blended with 5 phr [AOEMIm][BF4] achievedexcellent overall performance; as well, the mechanical properties improved considerably, and damage to the thermal stabilitywas acceptable.
Characterizations on Knee Movement Estimation from Surface EMG Using Composited Approaches
Hui-Bin Li,Zhong Li,Xiao-Rong Guan 대한전기학회 2024 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.19 No.1
This paper focuses on the relationship between surface electromyography (sEMG) signals and knee joint movement which would be applied in the extra assistant robotic legs (EARL). The characterizations of the sEMG data group for movement estimation were analyzed depending on the composited approaches, which were analyzed in situations of diferent sample sizes, diferent muscle groups, diferent time-domain features, and diferent algorithms. According to the analysis of knee movement estimation, it can be found that (1) Increasing the sample size, and the estimation accuracy becomes better. (2) The vastus lateralis and gastrocnemius lateralis have larger activation than the vastus medialis and gastrocnemius medialis, but the estimation accuracy is worse. (3) The estimation accuracy of time-domain features is related to the complexity of the feature group, the range of average AR2 is 0.86 to 0.92. (4) The composited algorithms are better than a single back propagation neural network (BPNN), and principal component analysis is ftter than independent component analysis in conjunction with BPNN for estimation. This study reveals the hind factors that people cannot square up while extracting and processing the sEMG signals. This study’s results can help build new training data to improve the estimation accuracy of knee movement for sEMG.
