Dafa-Alla Mohamed Dafa-Alla,Ahmed Ibrahim Abuelbasher,Haytham Hashim Gibreel,Yousif Elnour Yagoub,Ahmed Ali Hassabelkreem Siddig,Ahmed Mustafa Morad Hasoba 강원대학교 산림과학연구소 2022 Journal of Forest Science Vol.38 No.3
The study aims to examine population indices of mature trees in Jebel Elgarrie forest, Blue Nile State, Sudan. We used remote sensing techniques to stratify the forest into vegetation classes depending on tree density. We distributed 97 circular sample plots (0.1 ha) proportionally to the area of the vegetation classes. In each sample plot we identified, counted and recorded all mature trees (DBH ≥10 cm). We calculated frequency, density, abundance, richness, evenness and diversity for each species and we drew abundance rank curve of mature trees. We used One-Way ANOVA to test for differences (=0.05) in mean density (No./ha) of mature trees between vegetation classes. Results revealed that the forest was conveniently sub-divided into high density (C1), medium density (C2), low density (C3) and bare farm land (C4) classes. We identified fifteen tree species that belong to 10 families and 14 genera. Combretaceae and Fabaceae were the common families while Anogeissus leiocarpa was the most frequently occurring species. While species diversity varied between vegetation classes, diversity of the forest as a whole is low. While mean density of mature trees in C1, C2, C3 and C4 it was 100, 74, 10, and 0, respectively, it was 54 for the whole forest indicating low stocking, Following One-Way ANOVA, multiple comparisons revealed significant differences in mean density of mature trees between C1 & C3 and C2 & C3. The study provided empirical results on population indices of mature tree species, which would be of importance for successful management and conservation of the forest.
Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Post-War Ukraine
Alla Dmytrivna Kovalova 미래사회통합연구센터 2017 Journal of Conflict and Integration Vol.1 No.2
This paper outlines the reconciliation experience of some countries in overcoming people’s disunity after a military conflict. It seeks to identifyve rsatile features and tendencies in the activities of truth and reconciliation com missions. Peculiarities of the situation in Ukraine are clarified in order to dete rmine the best reconciliation practices in the post-war period. The retributive character of the court system and the absence of grassroots justice became obst acles to cope with abuses arising from war and to bridge disunited post-war Ukraine. For the Ukrainian case, it is suggested to establish a truth and reconciliation commission (TRC) by passing legislation, with national or mixed membership, selecting commissioners from a public-composed nomination list, introducing eligibility requirements and ineligibility criteria, and specifying conditions for granting amnesty on individual bases.

The purpose of this study was to determine changes in the growth rates and the degree of shell bioerosion exhibited by endolithic organisms of the Japanese scallop family, Patinopecten (Mizuhopecten) yessoensis, on the coast of Furugelm Island (Peter the Great Bay, northwest of East Sea = Sea of Japan) over the last three decades. The areas studied are affected by Tumen (Tumangang) River run-off, which is enriched by organic matter and polluting agents. It was found that the linear growth rates of the Japanese scallops living along the coasts of Furugelm Island have decreased over the last three decades. The degree of bioerosion of scallop shells has significantly increased for the same period. These phenomena may be explained by a gradual increase in bottom sediment silting, organic enrichment and pollution of the areas being studied. It was found that the degree of scallop shell bioerosion increased with the scallops age. At present, in each age group, the shells of the scallops sampled from the muddy sand showed greater erosion than the shells of individuals collected from the sandy substrate.
Global Economic Integration and Land Use Change
( Alla Golub ),( Thomas W. Hertel ) 세종대학교 경제통합연구소 2008 Journal of Economic Integration Vol.23 No.3
The goal of this work is to investigate the role of global integration in determining long-run patterns of land-use change. We utilize a dynamic general equilibrium model that has been modified to incorporate the most important economic features driving global land demand and supply, and simulate a baseline period from 1997-2025 over which land rents world-wide rise sharply and the global allocation of land between agriculture and forestry changes rather significantly in some regions. Through a series of restricted simulations of the model, we are able to isolate the impact on land markets of the following elements of growth and globalization: (i) population growth, (ii) real income growth, (iii) access of new forest lands, and (iv) international trade. We found that international trade plays a very substantial role in mediating between the land-abundant, slower growing economies of the Americas and Australia/New Zealand, and the land-scarce, rapidly growing economies of Asia. In summary, when combined, the forces of globalization are expected to play a large role in determining the pattern of land use change.

Background: The aim of research was to determine the incidence of arterial hypertension in patients with debut of diabetes mellitus before 25 years of age. Methods: We examined 70 people in Siberia who had debut of diabetes mellitus up to 25 years: 5 patients had been confi rmed MODY 2, 33 patients had type 1 diabetes, 32 patients - type 2. We have done clinical examination, measurement of blood pressure, blood sampling for biochemical and hormone (TSH, C-peptide) analyzes. Arterial hypertension was diagnosed when blood pressure (BP) is above then 139/89 mm Hg for people older 18 years and above 95 percentile of the distribution BP for patients younger than 18 years. Results: The median of age of the patients at moment of examination was 23,0 [16,0:35,5] years for patients with type 1, with type 2- 29,5 [17,7:37,0] years (p1- 2<0,001), with MODY 2 -13,0 [6,5:30,5] years (p2-mody=0,022). The median of duration of diabetes mellitus was 9,0 [3,5:19,5] years at type 1: 2,0 [1,0:5,0] years at type 2: 3,0[1,0:4,0] years at MODY 2 (p1-2 = 0,02, p1- MODY = 0,04). 5 patients (15%) with type 1 diabetes had hypertension 1 and 2 degrees. 6 patients (19%) with type 2 diabetes also have high blood pressure. Patients with MODY 2 had not arterial hypertension. Overweight was present in 2 patients (6%) with type 1 diabetes and in 5 (16%) - with type 2 diabetes. Conclusions: 1. Young patients with diabetes have high incidence of hypertension which requires good monitoring pressure in these patients from the time of diagnosis of diabetes. 2. Overweight in young patients with diabetes is rarer than hypertension. It is indicate the need for controlling the pressure in the persons not only with the overweight but with normal weight too.

Background: The aim was to investigate the clinical, laboratory and genetic determinants of diabetes mellitus in patients with debut of disease before 25 years of age and family history of diabetes in Siberia. Methods: We examined 70 people with debut of diabetes before 25 years of age with family history of diabetes: 5 patients who we verified MODY 2 (after molecular genetic testing), 33 diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 32 - 2 type. All patients had a clinical examination, blood sampling for biochemical, hormone and molecular genetic (research glucokinase gene) analyzes. Results: Missense mutations in the glucokinase gene were localized in exons 1,4 and 7. The “classical” symptoms of debut were in 94% of patients with 1 type of diabetes. Asymptomatic debut of “diabetes no type 1” was in 60% of patients. Allergic reactions dominated among the comorbidities in patients with diabetes. Pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract (diabetes mellitus type 1 -27%, 2 type -12 %, MODY 2-20%), thyroid (18 %, 28 % and 40 % respectively), hypertension (18 % with type 1, 28 % - type 2) were in these patients. Peripheral diabetic neuropathy and diabetic retinopathy prevailed among the complications. Statistical differences were found in glucose, glycated hemoglobin, C-peptide, C-reactive protein among laboratory parameters in patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2. Conclusions: 1. We discovered a new one missense mutation and three previously described mutations in the glucokinase gene. 2. Young patients with type 1 diabetes had “classic” symptoms. Patients with “diabetes not type 1” had not clinical symptoms (60%) and had normal body weight (84 %). 3. Allergic reactions and diseases of the thyroid gland dominated in all types of diabetes mellitus in patients of the young age.
The Order of Formation of Information Signals in IIoT

In this article we propose using mathematical models of signals in wireless communication systems with autocorrelation reception of modulated ultra-wideband signals. For the transmission of information content, the method of positional-time coding is used, in which each information bit is encoded by hundreds of ultrashort pulses that arrive within a certain sequence. Comparative analysis has shown that the best noise immunity of the systems considered in this paper is the communication system, which uses the time separation of the reference and information signals.

The purpose of the present study is to explore the notion of identity in East Asian (EA) TESOL graduate student’s presentations. The research is based on a corpus of EA graduate student presentations (n = 20), focusing on their uses of the first person singular pronouns and possessive determiners I, my, and me. The analysis builds on Zareva’s (2013) methodology of investigating the genre identity roles found in English native-speaking student presentations. The results revealed that the EA students gave the greatest preference to asserting their scholarly selves in their presentations by inhabiting identity roles typically associated with the written academic genres, while still revealing different sides of their personal and social selves in relation to the topic content of their presentations. However, in most cases, their attempts to do so were significantly less frequent than those of the English native-speaking students, and their linguistic choices were more repetitive. I conclude that the individualistic identity implied in the use of the first person pronoun and its determiners in oral academic discourse may be problematic for many EA students, and thus, explicit teaching of how to utilize it strategically would be one means of raising their rhetorical awareness not only as graduate students but also as rhetorically conscious TESOL instructors.

A comparison was made of population of the economically important cockle Anadara (=Scapharca) broughtoni (Bivalvia, Arcidae) inhabiting different areas of the Razdolnaya River estuary at the head of Amurskii Bay (Peter the Great Gulf, East Sea). Also, changes in cockle population density and structure, as well as in cockle growth rates during the last 20 years were studied. In all years of investigation, the morphometrical parameters and growth rates of cockles were smaller at the sites located close to the River mouth than farther down-estuary. The differences can be attributed to higher concentration of suspended particulate matter, decreased salinity and water temperature, as well as a longer exposure to these unfavorable environmental factors at sites located close to the River mouth, compared to farther sites. For two decades, cockle population density had decreased by almost 30 times at some sites in the River estuary. The main reason for this population decline is commercial over-fishing of the cockle. Besides, for the last 20 years, linear parameters of the cockles in the population decreased approximately by 30% and weight parameters, almost two times. Cockle growth rates also decreased for this period. Evidently, these facts are due to the damaging effect of dredging.
