Background: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among females and also the most preventable. In the literature there is abundant evidence that awareness regarding cervical cancer and its prevention is low in the developing countries. Medical students are the future health professionals and can play an important role in increasing awareness among the general population. To assess the knowledge regarding symptoms, risk factors and prevention of cervical carcinoma among medical students in th Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the present study was planned. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire with students at the College of Medicine, King Faisal University, Al-Ahsa, KSA, from December 2012 to May 2013. Results: The responses of 188 students (males 111, females 77) in their second, third, fourth, and fifth years were recorded and used in the data analysis. The majority of the students were not aware of the early warning signs, symptoms and risk factors. On average, only 43.7% males and 56% of females were aware about the early signs and symptoms whereas 51.4% males and 57.8% females had knowledge about the risk factors of cervical cancers. Some 55% males and 46.8% females were unable to select the correct answer regarding human papilloma virus (HPV) infection as the cause of cervical cancer. Majority of the students (67%) were not aware about the availability of vaccine against HPV. Conclusions: Lack of knowledge regarding early signs and symptoms, risk factors and prevention of cervical cancer was observed in the present study.

A 35-year-old female presented with episodes of frequent dizziness, ear fullness, and right ear tinnitus for 12 months. Head imaging revealed a right glomus tympanicum tumor. She underwent pre-operative endovascular embolization of the glomus tympanicum tumor with surgical, cyanoacrylate-based glue. Immediately after the procedure, she developed drowsiness and severe pain in the right temporal region. Further investigations revealed a right cerebellar stroke in the posterior inferior cerebellar artery territory. She was treated with intravenous heparin, followed by one year of oral anticoagulation. With rehabilitation, she significantly recovered from her post embolization stroke. However, the tumor was resected at another institution. Ten years later, follow-up imaging indicated a gradual increase in the size of the glomus jugulare tumor compressing the nearby critical vascular structures. She subsequently received radiation therapy to treat the residual tumor. Currently, she has no neurological deficit, but her mild dizziness, right ear tinnitus, and hearing impairment persist.
Confinement effectiveness of Timoshenko and Euler Bernoulli theories on buckling of microfilaments

Rice Husk Ash (RHA) geopolymer paste activated by sodium aluminate were characterized by X-ray diffractogram (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersion X-Ray analysis (EDAX)and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Five series of RHA geopolymer specimens were prepared by varying the Si/Al ratio as 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5. The paper focuses on the correlation of microstructure with hardened state parameters like bulk density, apparent porosity, sorptivity, water absorption and compressive strength. XRD analysis peaks indicates quartz, cristobalite and gibbsite for raw RHA and new peaks corresponding to Zeolite A in geopolymer specimens. In general, SEM micrographs show interconnected pores and loosely packed geopolymer matrix except for specimens made with Si/Al of 2.0 which exhibited comparatively better matrix. Incorporation of Al from sodium aluminate were confirmed with the stretching and bending vibration of Si-O-Si and O-Si-O observations from the FTIR analysis of geopolymer specimen. The dense microstructure of SA2.0 correlate into better performance in terms of 28 days maximum compressive strength of 16.96 MPa and minimum for porosity, absorption and sorptivity among the specimens. However, due to the higher water demand to make the paste workable, the value of porosity, absorption and sorptivity were reportedly higher as compared with other geopolymer systems. Correlation regression equations were proposed to validate the interrelation between physical parameters and mechanical strength. RHA geopolymer shows comparatively lower compressive strength as compared to Fly ash geopolymer.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented public health concern in Bangladesh. This study investigated the role of Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions on COVID-19 transmission and post-lockdown scenarios of 64 administrative districts and the country as a whole based on the spatiotemporal variations of effective reproduction number (Rt) of COVID-19 incidences. The daily confirmed COVID-19 data of Bangladesh and its administrative districts from March 8, 2020, to March 10, 2021, were used to estimate Rt. This study finds that the maximum value of Rt reached 4.15 (3.43, 4.97, 95% CI) in late March 2020, which remained above 1 afterwards in most of the districts. Containment measures are moderately effective in reducing transmission by 24.03%. The Rt was established below 1 from early December 2020 for overall Bangladesh and a gradual increase of Rt above 1 has been seen from early February 2021. The basic reproduction number (R0) in Bangladesh probably varied around 2.02 (1.33–3.28, 95% CI). This study finds a significant positive correlation (r = 0.75) between population density and COVID-19 incidence and explaining 56% variation in Bangladesh. The findings of this study are expected to support the policymakers to adopt appropriate measures for curbing the COVID-19 transmission effectively.

Validating the Entrepreneurial Intention Model on the University Students in Saudi Arabia

The main objective of this paper is to examine the applicability of Linan and Chen’s entrepreneurial intention model (EIM) in predicting the entrepreneurial intention. EIM is an adaptation of the Theory of Planned Behavior that focuses on entrepreneurial intention and hypothesizing slightly different patterns of relationship with regards to subjective norms. The model also includes human capital and demographic factors. Snowball sampling method was used to collect data using the entrepreneurial intention questionnaire (EIQ) through several social media platforms. The survey indicates that the overall entrepreneurial intention of Saudi students is high (mean = 5.41). Eight out of the seventeen hypothesized relationships were found to be significant. Among the demographic variables, gender-personal attitude was significant whereas self employment experience and years of business education were found to be significantly related with perceived behavioral control. The statistical analysis using partial least square structural equation modelling validated the model. All the three antecedents of entrepreneurial intention were significantly related with entrepreneurial intention. The results of this study will help policy makers to get deep understanding into the phenomenon of entrepreneurship among Saudi university students and thereby develop a conducive environment. This study also validates the entrepreneurial intention model in a different cultural context.

In this paper, we proposed new software for 3D rendering of MR images in the medical domain using C# wrapper of Visualization Toolkit (VTK) and Microsoft .NET framework. Our objective in developing this software was to provide medical image segmentation, 3D rendering and visualization of hippocampus for diagnosis of Alzheimer disease patients using DICOM Images. Such three dimensional visualization can play an important role in the diagnosis of Alzheimer disease. Segmented images can be used to reconstruct the 3D volume of the hippocampus, and it can be used for the feature extraction, measure the surface area and volume of hippocampus to assist the diagnosis process. This software has been designed with interactive user interfaces and graphic kernels based on Microsoft.NET framework to get benefited from C# programming techniques, in particular to design pattern and rapid application development nature, a preliminary interactive window is functioning by invoking C#, and the kernel of VTK is simultaneously embedded in to the window, where the graphics resources are then allocated. Representation of visualization is through an interactive window so that the data could be rendered according to user's preference.

The present study aimed at isolating and elucidating the structure of the main components of Pistacia khinjuk L. and exploring its potential anti-inflammatory effect in different experimental models. The extract was evaluated for antiinflammatory activity by measuring paw volume in three experimental models. Then, prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) level, ear edema, tissue myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity, histopathology, nitric oxide (NO) level, and tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-a) level were assessed. Seven phenolic compounds, mainly flavonoids and galloylated compounds, were isolated from the aqueous methanol extract: gallic acid (1), methyl gallate (2), quercetin-3-O-b-d-4C1-galactopyranoside (hyperin) (3), myricetin- 3-O-a-l-1C4-rhamnopyranoside (myricitrin) (4), 1,6-digalloyl-b-d-glucose (5), 1,4-digalloyl-b-d-glucopyranoside (6), and 2,3-di-O-galloyl-(a/b)-4C1-glucopyranose (nilocitin) (7). The anti-inflammatory activity was evidenced by decreased carrageenan-induced rat paw edema and PGE2 elevation. In the croton oil–induced ear edema model, MPO activity was significantly inhibited, and inflammatory histopathological changes were ameliorated. In the rat air pouch model, NO generation and TNF-a release were significantly inhibited. The isolation and nuclear magnetic resonance spectral data of compound 6 from the genus Pistacia are revealed for the first time. Also, P. khinjuk L. aqueous methanol extract possesses anti-inflammatory activity in several experimental models.

A new model with the combination of the Galerkin's technique have been developed for functionally graded cylindrical shell. For the vibrations of rotating cylindrical shells, three volume fraction laws i.e., polynomial, trigonometric and exponential are combined mathematically. The obtained results show that by increasing length-to-radius and height-to-radius ratios, the backward and forward frequency value decreases and increases, respectively. Moreover, on increasing the rotating speed, the backward frequencies increases and forward frequencies decreases. The results generated furnish the evidence regarding applicability of present model with clamped-clamped boundary conditions and also verified by earlier published literature.
Interaction of casson nanofluid with Brownian motion: Temperature profile with shooting method

In present study, the numerical investigations are carried out for effects of suction and blowing on boundary layer slip flow of casson nano fluid along permeable stretching cylinder in an exponential manner. The modeled PDEs are changed into nonlinear ODEs through appropriate nonlinear transformations. Change in physical quantities like friction coefficient, Nusselt and Sherwood numbers with variation of the aforementioned parameters are also examined and their numerical values are listed in the form of tables. Effects of Reynold number, suction parameter, Prandtl number, Lewis number, Brownian motion parameter and thermophoresis parameter are seen graphically with temperature profile.
