Spreading sequences with appropriate negative autocorrelation can reduce average multiple access interference (MAI) in asynchronous DS/CDMA systems compared with the conventional M-sequences and Gold Sequences generated by linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs). We design spreading sequences with negative autocorrelation based on M-sequences and the chaos theory for the Bernoulli map. By computer simulations, we evaluate BER performances of asynchronous DS/CDMA systems using the proposed sequences.

Simple block cipher systems based on nonlinear feedback shift registers are proposed. By numerical simulations, we investigate their basic performance, such as sensitivity to keys/plaintexts and immunity against the well-known differential/linear cryptanalysis.

Initial phase dependence of aperiodic auto-/cross-correlation functions of orthogonal sequences generated by NFSRs is discussed. We investigate side-lobe magnitude of auto-correlation functions and distributions of maximum cross-correlation values. Some dependence on initial phases is revealed.
Design and Evaluation of De Bruijn Sequence Generators Based on Feedback-Limited NFSRs
Yoshiro Kawabe,Akio Tsuneda 대한전자공학회 2009 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2009 No.7
Generators of de Bruijn sequences are designed based on feedback-limited nonlinear feedback shift registers. Correlation properties of orthogonal codes obtained by the proposed generators are investigated. Furthermore, hardware performances of the proposed generators are evaluated.
