      • Brine shrimp lethality and cytotoxicity assay of Araucaria bidwillii Hook in human carcinoma cell lines

Ahamed, KFH Nazeer,Kumar, V,Manikandan, L,Wahile, Atul M,Mukherjee, Kakali,Saha, BP,Mukherjee, Pulok K Kyung Hee Oriental Medicine Research Center 2005 Oriental pharmacy and experimental medicine Vol.5 No.1

The leaf extracts of Araucaria bidwillii Hook. (Araucariaceae) were evaluated for their cytotoxic effect in various human cancer cell lines. Preliminary investigation by brine shrimp lethality assay indicated that $LC_{50}$ value of various successive extracts were found to be less than $1000\;{\mu}g/ml$, where the ethyl acetate extract showed maximum activity of less than $100\;{\mu}g/ml$. Further cytotoxic evaluation of various leaf extracts of Araucaria bidwilli Hook was carried out in four different human cancer cell lines-acute myeloblastic leukemia (HL-60), chronic myelogenic leukemia (K-562), breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7) and cervical epithelial carcinoma (HeLa). Cytotoxicity was assessed by trypan blue dye exclusion method and 3-(4,5-dimethyl thiazole-2yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) reduction assay. From the present investigation it was found that the ethyl acetate and methanol extract of Araucaria bidwilli Hook was found to be more effective in leukemic cell lines and was less effective in MCF-7 and HeLa. The $IC_{50}$ value of the ethyl acetate extract in leukemic cell lines was found to be $28.18\;and\;34.64\;{\mu}g/ml$ and methanol extract was found to be $33.11\;&\;39.81\;{\mu}g/ml$. It can be concluded that various extract from the leaves of Araucaria bidwillii Hook. posses cytotoxic activity tested in brine shrimps and various human carcinoma cell lines.

UNIQUENESS OF TWO DIFFERENTIAL POLYNOMIALS OF A MEROMORPHIC FUNCTION SHARING A SET

Ahamed, Molla Basir Korean Mathematical Society 2018 대한수학회논문집 Vol.33 No.4

In this paper, we are mainly devoted to find out the general meromorphic solution of some specific type of differential equation. We have also answered an open question posed by Banerjee-Chakraborty [4] by extending their results in a large extent. We have provided an example showing that the conclusion of the results of Zhang-Yang [16] is not general true. Some examples have been exhibited to show that certain claims are true in our main result. Finally some questions have been posed for the future research in this direction.

Class of Meromorphic Functions Partially Shared Values with Their Differences or Shifts

Ahamed, Molla Basir Department of Mathematics 2021 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.61 No.4

For a value s ∈ ℂ∪ {∞}, two meromorphic functions f and g are said to share the value s, CM, (or IM), provided that f(z)-s and g(z)-s have the same set of zeros, counting multiplicities, (respectively, ignoring multiplicities). We say that a meromorphic function f shares s ∈ Ŝ partially with a meromorphic function g if E(s, f) ⊆ E(s, g). It is easy to see that "partially shared values CM" are more general than "shared values CM". With the help of partially shared values, in this paper, we prove some uniqueness results between a non-constant meromorphic function and its generalized differences or shifts. We exhibit some examples to show that the result of Charak et al. [8] is not true for k = 2 or k = 3. We find some gaps in proof of the result of Lin et al. [24]. We not only correct these resuts, but also generalize them in a more convenient way. We give a number of examples to validate certain claims of the main results of this paper and also to show that some of conditions are sharp. Finally, we pose some open questions for further investigation.

Set shared by an Entire Function with its k-th Derivative Using Normal Families

Ahamed, Molla Basir Department of Mathematics 2020 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.60 No.2

In this paper, we study a problem of a non-constant entire function f that shares a set S = {a, b, c} with its k-th derivative f(k), where a, b and c are any three distinct complex numbers. We have found a gap in the statement of the main result of Chang-Fang-Zalcman [10], and with the help of their method, we have generalize their result in a more compact form. As an application, we generalize the famous Brück conjecture [9] with the idea of set sharing.

      • Prediction of Student's Interest on Sports for Classification using Bi-Directional Long Short Term Memory Model

Ahamed, A. Basheer,Surputheen, M. Mohamed International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2022 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.22 No.10

Recently, parents and teachers consider physical education as a minor subject for students in elementary and secondary schools. Physical education performance has become increasingly significant as parents and schools pay more attention to physical schooling. The sports mining with distribution analysis model considers different factors, including the games, comments, conversations, and connection made on numerous sports interests. Using different machine learning/deep learning approach, children's athletic and academic interests can be tracked over the course of their academic lives. There have been a number of studies that have focused on predicting the success of students in higher education. Sports interest prediction research at the secondary level is uncommon, but the secondary level is often used as a benchmark to describe students' educational development at higher levels. An Automated Student Interest Prediction on Sports Mining using DL Based Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory model (BiLSTM) is presented in this article. Pre-processing of data, interest classification, and parameter tweaking are all the essential operations of the proposed model. Initially, data augmentation is used to expand the dataset's size. Secondly, a BiLSTM model is used to predict and classify user interests. Adagrad optimizer is employed for hyperparameter optimization. In order to test the model's performance, a dataset is used and the results are analysed using precision, recall, accuracy and F-measure. The proposed model achieved 95% accuracy on 400th instances, where the existing techniques achieved 93.20% accuracy for the same. The proposed model achieved 95% of accuracy and precision for 60%-40% data, where the existing models achieved 93% for accuracy and precision.

Design and modeling of energy generated magneto rheological damper

        R. Ahamed,Muhammad Mahbubur Rashid,Md Meftahul Ferdaus,Hazlina Md. Yusof 한국유변학회 2016 Korea-Australia rheology journal Vol.28 No.1

In this paper an energy generated mono tube MR damper model has been developed for vehicle suspension systems. A 3D model of energy generated MR damper is developed in Solid Works electromagnetic simulator (EMS) where it is analyzed extensively by finite element method. This dynamic simulation clearly illustrates the power generation ability of the damper. Two magnetic fields are induced inside this damper. One is in the outer coil of the power generator and another is in the piston head coils. The complete magnetic isolation between these two fields is accomplished here, which can be seen in the finite element analysis. The induced magnetic flux densities, magnetic field intensities of this damper are analyzed for characterizing the damper’s power generation ability. Finally, the proposed MR damper’s energy generation ability was studied experimentally.

Single-Phase Bridgeless Zeta PFC Converter with Reduced Conduction Losses

Shakil Ahamed Khan,Nasrudin Abd. Rahim,Ab Halim Abu Bakar,Tan Chia Kwang 전력전자학회 2015 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.15 No.2

This paper presents a new single phase front-end ac?dc bridgeless power factor correction (PFC) rectifier topology. The proposed converter achieves a high efficiency over a wide range of input and output voltages, a high power factor, low line current harmonics and both step up and step down voltage conversions. This topology is based on a non-inverting buck-boost (Zeta) converter. In this approach, the input diode bridge is removed and a maximum of one diode conducts in a complete switching period. This reduces the conduction losses and the thermal stresses on the switches when compare to existing PFC topologies. Inherent power factor correction is achieved by operating the converter in the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) which leads to a simplified control circuit. The characteristics of the proposed design, principles of operation, steady state operation analysis, and control structure are described in this paper. An experimental prototype has been built to demonstrate the feasibility of the new converter. Simulation and experimental results are provided to verify the improved power quality at the AC mains and the lower conduction losses of the converter.

UNIQUENESS OF P(f) AND [P(f)](k) CONCERNING WEAKLY WEIGHTED SHARING

Molla Basir Ahamed 장전수학회 2022 Advanced Studies in Contemporary Mathematics Vol.32 No.2

In this paper, with the help of the idea of weakly weighted sharing introduced by Lin and Lin [Kodai Math. J. 29(2006), 269-280], we study the uniqueness of polynomial expression P(f) and its derivatives [P(f)](k) of meromorphic functions f sharing a small function. The main results in the paper significantly improved the result of Liu and Gu [Kodai Math. J. 27(3)(2004), 272-279]. This research work finds certain condition under which the polynomial P(f) is reduced to a non-zero monomial and consequently, the class of the function f is characterized. Examples have been exhibited to show that some conditions in the main results simply can not be removed and also some inequalities are sharp.
