맴핑용 레이저 레이더 실험실 시제품의 성능시험과 분석 결과를 소개한다. 광섬유 레이저와 아발란치 광검출기 외 관련 구성모듈로 이루어진 레이저 레이더 시스템이 설계, 제작되었다. 레이저 레이더 시스템은 현재 실험실 환경에서의 성능 확인을 목적으로 하는 실험실 시제품으로서, 레이저 레이더 광원 특성, 거리 정확도, 소광율, 오경보율과 같은 시스템 성능변수가 실험적으로 측정되었다. 실험결과 분석을 통해 레이저 레이더 시제품이 양호한 성능수준을 제시하는 것으로 확인되었다. We present the results of performance test and analysis of a laser radar system prototype for mapping applications. The laser radar system consisting of fiber laser and avalanche photo-detector and other related component modules was designed and manufactured. The laser radar system now has the status of a prototype for the testing of laboratory performance. Main performance parameters of the system such as laser source characteristics, range accuracy, extinction ratio, and false alarm rate were experimentally measured and the results were analyzed. It confirmed that the laser radar system prototype is performing at a proper level.
백색광 마이켈슨 간섭계를 이용한 광섬유 고리의 편광 교차결합 측정

The investigation of the polarization cross-coupling in fiber coils was made using white light Michelson interferometer. The white light interferometer has a light source of about 13nm spectral bandwidth and measurement resolution of less than -80dB. The measurement found that the 200m fiber coil has a polarization cross-coupling of about -64dB in average and -46dB in maximum.

The bias characteristics due to the changes of temperature and temperature gradient of fiber coil are investigated in fiber-optic gyroscope. The bias performance is degraded with the changes of temperature and temperature gradient of fiber coil. The temperature compensation using both the temperature-dependent bias measurement and the temperature-induced error model of fiber-optic gyroscope improves the bias stability about 3 times as much as the uncompensated original case, which leads to very stable bias performance over the temperature range from $-35^{\circ}C$ to $+77^{\circ}C$.
저산란 반사경을 이용한 링레이저 자이로의 주파수 잠긴 개선

링레이저 자이로의 주파수 잠김을 개선하기 위하여, 링레이저 공진기에 저산란 반사경을 적용하는 연구가 수행되었다. 초정밀 연마기술을 통해 표면 거칠기 1Å rms 이하의 반사경 기판을 가공하였으며, 가공된 기판에 이온빔 스퍼터링 코팅방식을 이용하여 산란율 300ppm 이하의 반사경을 제작하였다. 제작된 저산란 반사경을 링레이저 자이로에 적용한 결과, 자이로의 잠김 주파수를 약 0.1 deg/sec 이하로 개선할 수 있었다. For the improvement of the lock-in frequency of a ring laser gyro, a low-scattering mirror was employed in the laser resonator. A super-polishing technique produced fine mirror substrates of less than 1-A-rms-roughness. The mirror coating using an ionbeam sputtering technique reduced the scattering loss to less than 30 ppm. As a result of the mirror scattering enhancement of the ring laser, the lock-in frequency of the gyro was improved up to about 0.1 deg/sec.
위상측정 간섭계를 이용한 수십 Å급 및 sub Å급 반사경 기판 조도 평가

위상측정 간섭계(phase-measuring interferometer)를 이용한 표면조도(surface roughness) RMS값 수십 Å급과 sub Å급 반사경 기판의 조도 평가 특성이 조사되었다. 위상측정 간섭계의 조도 측정오차에 대한 위상 및 강도 데이터 평균의 영향이 조사되었으며, 이를 근거로 조도 측정오차를 최소화하는 최적의 위상 평균횟수와 강도 평균횟수가 도출되었다. 수십 Å급 샘플의 경우, 조도 측정값은 데이터 평균의 영향을 적게 받은 반면, sub Å급 반사경 기판의 경우는 위상 및 강도 평균횟수가 증가할수록 표면조도 측정오차가 뚜렷이 감소하였다. sub Å급 반사경 기판 조도 측정시에 위상 평균 30회, 강도 평균 20회에서 안정적이고, 신호 대 잡음비가 최대인 조도 측정값을 얻을 수 있었다. 이때의 조도 측정값은 광학적 heterodyne 간섭계에 의한 조도 측정결과와도 잘 일치하였다. 최적 데이터 평균횟수에서 표면조도 측정 반복도 역시 0.01Å이하의 양호한 측정오차를 보였다. We investigated the characteristics of surface roughness evaluation using phase-measuring interferometer for a few ten Å and sub Å-rough substrates. The influence of phase averaging and intensity averaging on the roughness measurement by phase-measuring interferometer was investigated and the optimal number of phase and intensity averaging for the least measurement error was searched. For a few ten Å-rough sample, roughness value did not depend so much on the data averaging. Whereas, measurement error for sub Å-rough sample was significantly improved as the number of phase and intensity averaging increased. At the phase averaging of 30 and the intensity averaging of 20, roughness value that measurement error was minimized was obtained, and it was in good agreement with that by optical heterodyne interferometer. Roughness measurement at the optimal data averaging showed also good repeatability error less than 0.01 Å.

Aluminum liners used in cylinders are hazardous for human health. In this study, we use a plastic PA liner inside cylinders to solve this problem. Plastic PA liners are widely used in the manufacturing industry in the production of food and beverage containers. We covered the aluminum boss with a plastic liner material and wound the composite fibers over the liner material. To reinforce the dome area, we used low strength / high elongation plastic liner. To predict the performance of the developed product, we conducted structural analyses utilizing the 3D laminated solid element. We verified the soundness of the product by testing the prototype.
콩 발아 중 isoflavone malonylglucosides의 함량 변이

Soybean produces three major types of isoflavones, daidzein, genistein, and glycitein aglycones and their glucosides and malonylglucosides. It has been known that malonylated glucosides are rapidly converted to their corresponding aglycones due to the unstable thermolabile glucoside malonates; therefore, the analytical study of malonylated glucosides has been insufficient. In this study, we analyzed the malonylglucoside content in soybean seeds. Isoflavone analysis of three soybean cultivars revealed that 81.5~90.0% of the total isoflavones were malonylglucosides, whereas aglycones were rarely detected. Moreover, the total isoflavone content increased during a 5-day germination period where growth regulators and coumaric acid treatments tended to yield higher isoflavone content than the normal germination treatment, however the differences were not significant; notably, the isoflavone accumulation trend continued with additional germination days. The content of malonylglucoside was higher than that of other isoflavones, which was 83.7~86.6% of the total isoflavone content in seeds with a 3-day germination period. Furthermore, isoflavones were significantly accumulated in the hypocotyl of seedlings with a 5-day germination period. The content of isoflavone in the hypocotyl of the Pungsannamul-kong was 10,240 ug/g when treated with coumaric acid, which was considerably higher than that of other cultivars and treatments. Additionally, soybean seeds heated at $60^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour produced higher isoflavone content than non-heated soybean seeds. Our results show that it is possible to increase the isoflavone content in soybean seeds through various treatments.
