        MOCVD 더스트로부터 Ga과 In의 침출 거동

        Leaching of MOCVD dust in the LED industry is an essential stage for hydro-metallurgical recovery of pure Ga and In. To recover Ga and In, the leaching behavior of MOCVD scrap of an LED, which contains significant amounts of Ga, In, Al and Fe in various phases, has been investigated. The leaching process must be performed effectively to maximize recovery of Ga and In metals using the most efficient lixiviant. Crystalline structure and metallic composition of the raw MOCVD dust were analyzed prior to digestion. Subsequently, various mineral acids were tested to comprehensively study and optimize the leaching parameters such as acidity, pulp density, temperature and time. The most effective leaching of Ga and In was observed for a boiling 4 M HCl solution vigorously stirred at 400 rpm. Phase transformation of GaN into gallium oxide by heat treatment also improved the leaching efficiency of Ga. Subsequently high purity Ga and In can be recovered by series of hydro processes.

        한글에서의 정성적 확률 표현의 정량적 변환

        In a decision making process, the ambiguity of qualitative probabilistic expressions may result in a wrong conclusion. For this reason there had been many studies of quantifying qualitative probabilistic expressions in English-speaking countries. In this research, quantification of Korean qualitative probabilistic expressions is conducted through 4-step questionnaires. The numerical data of 78 verbal phrases were collected in the first questionnaire and classified in two categories (i.e., uncertainty and frequency). In each category, qualitative probabilistic expressions were divided into eleven groups according to the similarity of the numerical values. In the second questionnaire, subjects selected a representative expression for each group, which totaled 11. In the third questionnaire each subject was asked to rank eleven expressions from 1 to 11 with 1 indicating the highest probability. At last, subjects conducted pairwise comparisons to obtain relative weights, which are used to convert into the numerical probability scale.

        공막 돌륭술 환자에서 피브리노겐-트롬빈 접착제를 사용한 결막 부착법의 유용성

        Purpose: We investigated the efficacy of fibrin glue for conjunctival closure in scleral buckling operations.<br /> Methods: Thirty-seven eyes of 35 patients who underwent conjunctival closure for a scleral buckling operation with a minimum follow-up period of 3 months were evaluated. Postoperative discomfort (average score), presence of remnant adhesives, scleral buckle material infection, and wound dehiscence were evaluated prospectively in 35 eyes of 33 patients undergoing surgery with fibrin glue.<br /> Results: The eyes showed decreasing conjunctival injection and hemorrhage over time and near to full recovered without any treatment after 1 month. With time, the average discomfort score decreased significantly (p < 0.05) and wound dehiscence was found in only 1 eye. There was no adhesive remnant in any of the eyes.<br /> Conclusions: The use of fibrin glue for conjunctival closure in scleral buckling operations is excellent as a cosmetic and functional method. The glue can reduce postoperative discomfort and is especially useful as a method to replace conventional conjunctival sutures. <br /> J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2013;54(12):1832-1837

        화면 움직임과 Cybersickness의 관계에 관한 연구

        This paper investigates the effects of scene movements on cybersickness to develop the guidelines of scene movements in virtual environments. The types of scene movements were made for both scene navigations(through the axes of X: lateral, Y: fore & after, and Z: vertical) and scene rotations(by pitch, roll and yaw). And there were each three levels of speed; 2.7, 4.5 and 6.3 /s(for navigation), and 10, 20 and 30 /s(for rotation) were conducted. Twelve participants were exposed to each scene for 15 minutes, and three tests were performed to measure the degree of sickness. Before and after subjects were exposed to virtual environments, they were requested to describe their sickness symptoms by means of answering the Simulator Sickness Questionnaire(SSQ). And the postural stability tests, in which the Center of Pressure(COP) of subjects were traced and recorded by a 'force platform', were conducted. During the exposure on virtual environments, the subjects were requested to rate the degree of nausea. For both navigation and rotation, the effects of speeds and axes were significant in the SSQ scores and the nausea ratings, while it was not in the COP. The correlation between the SSQ scores and the COP data was not found. Therefore, it was inappropriate to use COP as a measure of cybersickness. The degree of sickness increased, except for the case of the yaw, as the speed increased. The sickness was most severe in the scene navigation through the axis X and in the scene rotation by the yaw.

        Studies on Some Physiological and Morphological Characteristics of Actinomycetes in Paddy Soil applied Organic Materials

        볏짚 퇴비(堆肥) 및 무기질비료(無機質肥料)를 시용(施用)한 논토양(土壤)의 포장조건(圃場條件)에서 방선균(放線菌)의 군락(群落)을 경시적(經時的)으로 계수(計數)하고, 이들 분리균주(分離菌株)들의 형태적(形態的) 및 생리적(生理的) 특성(特性)과 전자현미경(電子顯微鏡)상에서 균(菌)의 포자체(胞子體) 형태(形態)를 관찰(觀察)한 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 방선균(放線菌)의 균수(菌數)는 $2.1{\times}10^6$에서 $7.4{\times}10^7$ 의 범위(範圍)로 무기질비료(無機質肥料)보다 퇴비(堆肥) 시용시(施用時) 많았으며, 연중(年中) 방선균(放線菌)의 경시적(經時的) 군락(郡落)은 1월(月)과 9월(月)보다 6월중(月中)에 채취(採取)한 토양(土壤)에서 많았다. 2. 분리(分離)한 250개(個) 균주(菌株)의 방선균(放線菌)을 형태적(形態的) 특성(特性)으로 구분(區分)한 결과(結果) 21개군(個群)으로 분류(分類)되었으며, 이들 각군(各群)들중 Streptomyces 속(屬)은 15개군(個群)의 87.2%, 그리고 non-Streptomyces 속(屬)은 6개군(個群)의 12.8%로 확인(確認)되었다. 또한 전체(全體) 분리균주(分離菌株)중 포자체(胞子體)의 Spiral Chain 형태(形態)의 Streptomyces 속(屬)이 80%로서 우점하였다. 3. Streptomyces 속(屬)의 15개군(個群)을 전자현미경(電子顯微鏡)상에서 포자체(胞子體)의 표면형태(表面形態)를 관찰(觀察)한 결과(結果) 3개군(個群)은 spiny 형태(形態)를 보였고, 12개군(個群)은 smooth 형태(形態)를 갖는 것으로 동정(同定)되었다. The population of actinomycetes in paddy soils, with hay compost and inorganic fertilizer had been applied respectively was investigated. Actinomycetes were isolated by using selective medium and the population densities of actinomycetes in paddy soil was examined. The population of actinomycetes were reached at a range from $2.1{\times}10^6$ to $7.4{\times}10^7$ per gram of the soil. The composition of actinomycetes flora changed considerably after hay compost applied. The significant positive correlations between the organic matter content in paddy soil and the actinomycetes populations were given at 1.38 to 2.69 level. According to the result of several morphological observation, similar strains isolated were classified into 21 groups. More detailed taxonomic characterization were carried out on the isolated strains. Therefore, 15 groups of Streptomyces and 6 groups of non-Streptomyces were classified into actinomycetes isolates, percentage of streptomyces and non-Streptomyces strains were 87.2% and 12.8% in the isolated 250 actinomycetes strains respectively. Streptomyces with sporophore of the spiral chain form accounted for 80% of all the Streptomyces isolates. Surface morphology of spores were determined with the electron microscope, three species have a spiny surface, and 13 strains have a smooth spore surface.

        운전자의 불안전한 행위와 성격유형과의 상호관계에 관한 연구

        The goal of this study is to find out correlation between Driver's Unsafe acts(errors and violations) and Personality types. The experiment was performed on 180 subjects, men and women between 20's and 60's having experience in driving for 6 months at least. Personality types of the subjects were classified by MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) GS type and Driver's unsafe acts were measured by KDBQ(Korean Driver Behavior Questionnaire) based on Reason's DBQ(Driver Behavior Questionnaire). The result of experiment showed several facts about the relation. The first is that the drivers of P (Perceiving) type commit more violations and slips than drivers of J(Judging) type. The second is that in the comparison among attitude indexes(EP, EJ, IP, IJ) the drivers of EP(Extroversions - Perceiving) commit more violations than other type drivers. Finally, only men of P(Perceiving) type commits more violations than men of J(Judging). Based on these facts, it is possible to use Personality types as a device to prevent unsafe acts in various fields for driver selection and accident prevention training classified by Personality types etc.

        물체의 크기와 이동거리에 따른 속도감 변화

        Human perceptional speed is different from its real speed. There is lack of research that the perceptional speed is different from real speed in 2-dimension, because most research of speed perception has concentrated on points and lines. This research investigates the effects of object size on speed perception. In this research, we used 2-D circular objects of the different size, 0.9, 1.8 and $3.6^{\circ}$. The objects moved 9.0, 13.5 and $18.0^{\circ}$ with three different speeds, 6.0, 9.0 and $18.0^{\circ}$/s. Six participants were exposed to the environment with standard scene(size: $1.8^{\circ}$, speed: $9.0^{\circ}$/s and travel distance: $13.5^{\circ}$). After the first scene, another scene in which the object had changed to different sizes, speeds and distances, was shown to the participants. A magnitude estimation method was used to construct a scale of the perceived speed level. The relationship between the perceived and the actual speed level was explained by Stevens's power law that the value was 0.978 with the exponent of 0.992. The size of object had an effect on the speed perception but travel distance was not. The perceptional speed of bigger object was lower than of smaller object. It showed that the degrees of perceptional speed decreased as size of object increased.

        C-D gain의 변화를 고려한 Fitts 이동시간 추정 모델에 관한 연구

        During human-computer interaction(HCI), people typically send inputs to computers through electromechanical pointing devices. Many applied studies have therefore evaluated cursor-positioning movements made with various pointing devices. Though there were so many studies about performance of various pointing devices, it was nearly impossible to compare device performance each other until the Fitts' law was applied. It does appear that Fitts' law may predict performance reasonably well for the one C-D gain level. But in varying C-D gain levels, Fitts' law could not predict movement time. This study investigated the effects of C-D gain in mouse movement time and suggested a revised Fitts' model including C-D gain as an independent variable. The revised Fitts' model may use to measure the performance of various devices in varying C-D gain levels.
