The frontal crash test methods and references are divided into two types. One is the 56Kph full frontal crash test. The other is the 64Kph 40% offset deformable barrier frontal crash test. These two methods will be used for New KNCAP for enforcing the regulation. Those test methods has different protocol in ATD on passenger seat and even show different injury trend according to the different vehicle crash pulse. The purpose of this paper is to study the optimized shape of passenger air bag cushion to meet the both frontal crash test method and to know how various cushion shape effect to the dummy injuries on both 56Kph full frontal crash test and 64Kph 40% offset deformable barrier frontal crash test for KNCAP.
