This is a we report of asymmetrical mandibular prognathism with anterior open bite corrected by vertical osteostomy with coronoidotomy in the ramus of right side and oblique osteotomy in the ramus of left side of mandible. We suspected this jaw deformity to be caused by oral habit. Selection of surgical method was decided through the preoperative "work-up such as roentgenographic survey, study model surgery, soft tissue profile analysis, cephalometric analysis end ful1 face photographic evaluation. Since surgically corrected, improvement of esthetical and functional problem has been maintained without any complication.

This is a report of three cases of dentigerous cyst treated by enucleation with apicoectomy. With X-Ray findings these cases of dentigerous were located upper anterior portionp originated from the supernumerary teeth. The result were as follows. 1. Early finding & treatment of dentigerous cyst which is associated with impacted supernumerary teeth is very important. 2. Enucleation with apicoectomy was performed and obtained good func tional & ethetic results. 3. Until now, post follow up examination of all patients revealed good result without complication & recurrence.

This is a case report of the bilateral bony ankylosis of temporomandibular joint associated with micrognathia, which was corrected by arthroplasty with silicone rubber implant in left side, condylectomy and coronoidotomy in right side. We suspected this deformity to be arised from unknown high fever in childhood. Ankylosis occured before mixed dentition period was main etiological factor of facial deformity. So, the earlier correction is the better result. It is to prevent recurrence of ankylosis and improve the prognosis that adequate bone resection, proper selection of interposing material and post-operative continuous forceful mandibular movement.

A retrospective study of 498 patients (591 joints) who had diagnosed as having internal derangerment of the temporomandibular joint by history, clinical examination, and arthrography were evaluated. 66 patients (70 joints) were diagnosed as having meniscus perforation between the joint compartments. In those patients with pain (11 joints : 15.7%), pain and crepitation (24 joints : 34.3%), pain, crepitation and LOM (31 joints : 44.3%), and painless crepitation with LOM (4 joints : 5.7%) complained clinically. All these patients who had perforation showed irregularity in outline of the contrast material, bone contour-contrast material gaps, flattening of cortical layer of articular eminence. On the 20 joints treated surgically, 17 joints were found to have meniscus perforation at the time of surgery which correlated with their pre-operative radiographic and clinical diagnosis. Three joints could not found perforation of meniscus. This study was designed to examine of the incidences of the meniscus perforation in the above patients and to assess the diagnostic accuracy of arthrography by comparing the results with the finding of direct examination at TMJ surgery.
PERFORATION OF THE TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT MENISCUS: DIAGNOSED BY MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING
Kim,Houng Gon,Eward Dolan,James B. Vogler,Steven R. Nokes 大韓顎顔面成形再建外科學會 1989 Maxillofacial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Vol.11 No.2
Advancement of surgical techniques has made it necessary to accurately diagnose internal derangements. Arthrography and computerized tomography have been used to diagnose the majority of temporomandibular joint disorders, however, these methods have had their disadvantages. Magnetic resonance imaging utilizing surface coils has greatly improved the ability to diagnose meniscus abnormalities without using intrarticular injections or ionizing radiation. Ninety-two patients(184 joints) were evaluated by means of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). Thirty-on patients (39 joints) were diagnosed as having meniscus perforation. Retrospective review of fifteen patients(20 joints) with a perforated meniscus diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging pre-operatively demonstrated a sixty-five percent correlation between the radiographic diagnosis and the surgical findings.

This is a case report of hemangiopericytoma on lower lip. Hemangiopericytomas are very rare tumors of vascular origin featuring pericytes distributed about vascular spaces. Approximately one third occur in the head and neck, but the oral hemangiopericytomas are very rare and occur on tongue, mandible, maxilla and lip etc. The histogenesis is uncertain and there is no feature to distinguish the benign from the malignant variants. Complete excision is mandatory to avoid recurrence. A review of the literature and a report of a case of the oral hemangiopericytoma is presented.
