고지질 식이 투여를 이용하여 상부위장관내시경 소견으로 진단된 원발성 장림프관 확장증

전신 부종을 주소로 내원한 20개월된 남아에서 대변의 ${\alpha}_1$-antitrypsin clearance를 이용하여 단백상실성 장병증으로 진단하고, 상부위장관내시경을 시행하였으나 육안적 및 조직학적 소견상 특기할 만한 진단적 실마리가 관찰되지 않아, 고지질 식이를 투여 후 내시경을 시행하여 육안적, 조직학적 소견상 장림프관 확장증의 특징적인 소견이 확인되어 원발성 장림프관 확장증으로 진단된 증례이다. We experienced a case of primary intestinal lymphangiectasia in a 20-month-old boy, which was confirmed gastrofiberscopically and histologically only after a high-fat meal before the procedure. A characteristic endoscopic finding was the appearance of tiny white dots scattered in the duodenal mucosa, which were proved dilated lymph vessels in the lamina propria on histological examination. Treatment with low-fat diet and medium chain triglycerides supplementation was satisfactory.

영화 〈서치〉를 통해 본 영화 서사의 단절지향성

Contemporary films are apt to deal with past environment. Past can be defined as ‘Disconnection-Oriented’ when it comes to film narrative. Disconnection is widely used as a key factor in contemporary film narrative and more films that does not set in past environment can be classified as disconnection-oriented films. While contemporary characteristics of contemporary films are scarce these days, 〈Searching〉 is one of the outstanding examples which show ‘Hyper Connectivity’ on its narrative structure. Analyzing 〈Searching〉 reveals that fundamental factors which involves in narrative structure of the film under ‘story’ and ‘act’ scale are all based on disconnection while subordinate factors under ‘sequence’ and ‘scene’ scale are equally divided by ‘disconnection’ and ‘connectivity’. The conclusion that even a film that deals with hyper connectivity are structurally supported by disconnection shows how far contemporary film narratives depend on disconnection-oriented characteristic.

본 연구에서는 소설이 성공적으로 영화화하기 위해 필요한 과정에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 기존의 연구를 통해 소설의 서사구조가 영화라는 매체에 적합한 서사구조로 바뀌어야만 좋은 결과를 만들어낼 수 있음은 익히 알려져있다. 그러나 서사구조의 변경은 성공적인 영화화의 필요조건이기는 하지만 충분조건이 되지는 않는다. 제시된 서사구조에 영화다운 표현을 붙여야 비로소 좋은 결과물이 될 수 있을 것이다. 이미지와 사운드의 구성과 배치를 말하는 영상 언어는 영화적인 표현의 핵심이다. 소설 『내 친구 기리시마 동아리 그만둔대』는 한 챕터 당 한 명의 일인칭 시점으로 고등학교 학생들의 일상을 그려낸 작품이다. 영화 〈키리시마가 동아리활동 그만둔대〉는 소설의 시사구조를 바꾸어, 전반부는 다양한 인물이 겹쳐보이도록 같은 시간대를 여러 번 반복하여 보여주고, 후반부는 인물들을 학교 옥상으로 모아 하나의 사건을 진행하는 단선적인 구도를 선택하였다. 그리고 이 구조를 표현하기 위해 여러 명을 동시에 표현할 수 있는 가로로 넓은 화면비, 반복되는 사건을 다르게 보여줄 수 있는 구도, 마지막 시퀀스에 힘을 주가 위한 조명과 음악의 대비 등 다양한 영상 언어를 사용하고 있다. This study examines the procedure of successful novel adaptation. It is well known from precedent studies that narrative structure of novels should change forms to suit the media characteristics of films. But, the changing forms of narrative structure is not a sufficient condition of successful novel adaptation, but a necessary condition. A successful adaptation could be completed with filmic expressions on the presented narrative structure. The core of filmic expression is cinematic language which means the composition and array of image and sound. The novel, Kirishma Thing deals with everyday life of high school students and it consists of six stories which are narrated by one student each in first person point of view. The film, Kirishma Thing implemented a different strategy. It reveals the same events several times to show many characters over in each person’s point of view in the first half. In the second half, all the characters gathers at the rooftop of the school to have an unilinear narrative structure over one event. This film utilize all kinds of cinematic language to achieve these structures including the widescreen aspect ratio which exposes as many characters as possible in one shot, picture composition which shows the same event in a different point of view, contrast in lighting and music which differentiates and empowers the last sequence of the film.

고레에다 히로카즈 감독 영화의 공간 연구

고전적인 영화의 서사는 제한된 시간 안에 집중할 수 있는 이야기를 전달하려다보니 현실의 복잡다단한 면모를 보여주기 힘들다. 영화의 서사가 위기를 맞이한 시대에 고레에다 히로카즈 감독의 방법론에 관심을 가져볼 필요가 있다. 편향된 결론에 이르기 쉬운 감정이입보다는 공정한 가치평가를 통한 재발견에 무게를 둔 감독은 극적인 이야기보다는 일상적인 공간에 더 집중한다. 두 개의 극단적인 공간을 선택하되 두 공간의 경계공간을 배경으로 삼아 두 공간에 대한 가치평가를 계속 변경하며 다양한 면모를 드러냄으로써 일방향적인 선택에 익숙한 관객을 가치중립의 위치로 옮겨놓는 방법론이다. 철저히 디자인 된 시각 정보를 통해 공간을 제시하던 초기의 방법론이 자신이 거부한 고전적인 영화 서사의 일방향성에서 벗어나지 못한 것이라 판단한 고레에다 히로카즈 감독은, 추상적이고 관념적인 공간이 경험을 통해 친밀하고 구체적인 장소로 변화하는 장소화의 과정을 보여주는 방법론을 택한다. Classical film narrative fails to reflect the increasing complexity of modern society. In this era of film narrative crisis Hirokazu Koreeda presents a new solution. The director puts an emphasis on neutral valuation over subject matter rather than empathy of audiences which leads to a biased point of view. Thus Hirokazu Koreeda choose space over story as a critical narrative enabler. Two qualitatively opposite spaces are presented and the boundary space of the two are set as a main background where the valuation over the spaces waves up and down. Audiences who get accustomed to a one-sided value judgement led by storytelling can be neutralized by pendulum movement of valuation. The specific methods of using space as a main tool of value neutralization have changed through the director’s filmography. Space had been thoroughly designed through the storyboard in early works. Later the director let audiences experience the spaces to evoke a sense of place.

한국 특촬물 제작의 현황과 발전 방향 - <레전드히어로 삼국전>을 중심으로 -

한동안 만들어지지 않았던 특촬물이 최근 다시 활기를 띄고있다. 그중에서도 <레전드히어로 삼국전>은 가장 전형적인 특촬물의 형식을 가지고 있고, 흥행과 평가에서 주목할 만한 성과를 거두었다. 그러나 <레전드히어로 삼국전>의 결과물이 만들어지기까지는 많은 시행착오가 있었을 것이다. 이 시행착오를 크게 세 개의 범주로 나누어 이해할 수 있다. 첫째는 액션 장면의 과부하이다. 극 내내 반복해서 보이는 액션 장면의 분량 자체가 많을 뿐 아니라 마스크와 특수 의상을 입고 진행되는 액션의 난이도 또한 높다. 이로 인해 충실한 액션 연기가 어려워질 뿐 아니라 안전의 문제도 따른다. 둘째는 특수 의상과 소품의 내구성이다. 디자인이나 재질의 선택이 잘못된 경우 격한 액션 장면을 통해 쉽게 상처 나거나 부러질 수 있다. 이와 같은 상황의 반복은 영상 제작 진행 과정에서 많은 차질을 일으켰을 것이다. 마지막은 로봇 전투 장면의 품질이다. 로봇 전투 장면은 섬세한 디테일을 요구하는 컴퓨터 그래픽스 장면과 미니어처 장면으로 이루어졌다. 그러나 예산의 불균형한 배분으로 인해 이 장면의 영상은 품질이 낮게 제작되었고, 이로 인해 전체적인 이야기와 이질감을 보여준다. 이후 특촬물 제작에 임하는 인력들은 특촬물을 전담할 스턴트 배우의 양성, 특수 의상 및 소품의 디자인과 재질의 개선, 제작 단계에서의 예산 계획 등을 통해 제작 진행을 개선할 수 있을 것이다. Long-dead Korean Tokusatsu series are now in fashion again. < Legend Hero Samkukjeon > is one of the typical Tokusatsu sereis and its successful results are meaningful. But there must have been trials and errors because the production team of this series didn`t have any experience on Tokusatsu. These trials and errors can be devided into three groups. The first one is the overload on action scenes. Portion of action scenes over the whole series are too much and the technical level of the masked action scenes are too high. This lowers the quality of action scenes and causes safety issues. The second one is the durability of special costumes and props. Wrong decisions on design and material of costumes and props will slow down the production because of durability problems. The last one is the quality of action scenes of vehicles and robots. These scenes are made of computer graphics and miniature cinematography which requires big budget. Most of these scenes look shoddy because of the imbalance of budget allocation. The next Tokusatsu series planning could be easier when they learn lessons from these trials and errors.

동영상 프레임을 이용한 스마트폰 사용자 인증

Although Smart phones are announced as a new type of mobile device which can overcome portability limitation of the PC, it is difficult to prevent the abnormal access of the smart phone by the user authentication using security number. In this paper, we proposed user authentication of the smart phone using a face moving picture frame and analyzed performance by experimenting on four cases. In experimental results, we saw that similarity value of the owner is over 90% and that of a wrong user is under 78%. Especially, we showed that similarity value of the owner wearing sunglasses is also very high. Therefore, the proposed authentication technique is used for user authentication of the smart phone.
