        EBS 영어교육방송(EBSe) 활용에 대한 인식 및 효과

        The present study aims to analyze the effects and perception whilst using EBSe (EBS English) broadcasting programs in order to seek the improvement and development plans of EBSe. The survey was comprised of three main categories targeting students, parents, teachers, and the general public who have used EBSe programs. A total of 3,971 cases were collected as valid examples of the survey. The analysis of the survey data revealed that the learners mostly used EBSe programs as an addition to their classroom-based English education. In addition, most of the participants were highly satisfied with the use of EBSe programs. Lastly, the participants’ perception with regard to goal achievement and social effectiveness of EBSe programs were shown to be positive in the following four major objectives: enhancement of public English education, reducing the cost of private education, narrowing the gap of English education between different social classes and regions, and creating an environment of English education that has no time and space restrictions. In consideration of the current lack of English learning hours in the public English education system, proper change of the English education seems to be necessary using EBS English broadcasting programs for balanced improvement of the learners’ English ability.

        EBS English 방과 후 영어 프로그램의 효과 및 개선방안 연구

        이 연구는 EBS English(이후 EBSe) 방과 후 영어 프로그램의 효과 분석과 개선방안 제안을 목표로 한다. EBSe 방과 후 영어 프로그램은 블렌디드 학습 환경 및 게임형 콘텐츠 제공 등 영어과 방과 후 프로그램의 다양성 제고에 기여한다. 그러나 EBSe 방과 후 영어 관련 선행연구는 주로 프로그램에 참여한 학생을 대상으로 한 연구에 국한되며, 그 수 또한 제한적이다. 연구목표 달성을 위해 프로그램의 효과 및 개선점에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였으며, EBSe 웹사이트 이용자(학생, 교사, 학부모, 일반인) 3,971명이 응답에 참여했다. 설문 결과를 통해 이용자의 전반적인 인식뿐만 아니라 EBSe 방과 후 영어 프로그램에 대한 집단 간 인식의 차이점을 논의하였다. 설문 결과를 분석한 결과에 따르면 프로그램 사용자들은 공교육 보완, 듣기/읽기 능력 향상 등 EBSe 방과 후 영어 프로그램의 효과에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 그러나 다수의 웹사이트 사용자가 EBSe 방과 후 영어 프로그램을 사용해본 경험이 없다고 밝혔으며, 홍보 부족이나 타 콘텐츠 이용을 주요 이유로 제시하였다. 한편, 학부모와 교사의 프로그램에 대한 적극적인 활용 의지 또한 분석되었다. 더불어, 향후 ‘EBSe 방과후 영어’ 관련 콘텐츠가 어떤 형식으로 개발되었으면 하는지에 대해 EBSe 사용자 의견을 조사하였다. 이 조사는 단답형 문항으로 진행되었으며, 사용자들은 제시된 질문에 대해 자유롭게 본인의 의견을 개진하였다. 연구자는 조사된 의견을 여러 차례 읽는 과정을 통해 반복되는 제안 내용을 발견하고 이를 집단별로 나누어 분석하였다. 전반적인 의견과 집단별로 제안한 내용의 차이를 정리하여 제시하였다. 설문 결과를 바탕으로 적극적인 홍보의 필요성, 콘텐츠 다양화, 학부모, 교사를 위한 프로그램 활용법 개발을 EBSe 방과 후 영어 프로그램의 개선방안으로 제안하고자 한다. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the EBS English (EBSe) after-school program and suggest future directions for the program. Previous literature on after-school programs has revealed that these programs should utilize diverse content and further development should reflect various user perspectives. The EBSe after-school program contributes to the diversity of after-school programs in that it provides different types of content such as blended learning environments and gamified activities. However, previous studies on this program are limited in number and have focused only on students and teachers who participated in the program. To accomplish the purpose of this study, we administered user surveys regarding program effects and improvements to a total of 3,971 general EBSe website users who consisted of students, teachers, parents, and others. Results indicated overall positive perceptions on the effects of the program. However, more than half of the general users had not utilized the EBSe after-school program and the main reasons for this were a lack of promotion and the use of other content. The results also indicated that parents and teachers were more willing to use the program than students or others. Based on these findings, we suggested implementing active promotion, content diversification, and the development of guidelines for parents and teachers as future directions for the program. We also expect that the EBSe after-school program will contribute to the improvement of students' self-directed learning and reduction of private education expenses.

        Railroad systems can be divided into the primary function for transporting passengers or freight and secondary function covering diverse environmental factors and interfaces. So, the most biggest and important reason and the goal of railroad systems is to satisfy the need for transportation based on the production and consumption of energy. Especially, the operation of safe systems is the inevitable element for achieving this objective. Performing this can be ultimately satisfied only when the relationship among operators, contractors, suppliers and assessors is established according to their missions. Therefore, we are trying to finding the way of approaching it systematically by reviewing which procedures and methodologies mission performers in various domains have to follow.

        서울 강남지역 초등학생들의 영어 학업성취도 진단과 대책

        본 연구에서는 기존의 정부차원에서 시행되어온 학업성취도 평가의 결과 분석과 학업성취도 미달 학생을 주요 대상으로 시행되어온 영어교육 정책이 갖고 있는 문제점을 논의해 보면서, 강남지역과 같은 교사와 학부모의 교육에 대한 기대치가 높고 학생들의 학업성취도 또한 정확한 분석이 필요하다는 인식하에 강남지역 학생들의 영어학업 능력을 진단하였다. 더불어 수요자의 요구를 파악함으로써 효과적인 영어교육 방안들 즉, 강남 지역의 특성을 반영한 수준별 맞춤형 영어교육 운영 방안, 초등학교 3~6학년 학생 대상 수준별 영어교육 방안, 수준별 영어교재 개발방안 등을 모색하였다. 아울러 이 지역 학생들의 각 학년별, 언어영역별 정확한 영어 구사 능력 진단을 위한 도구를 개발하였다. The purpose of this study is to mainly evaluate the assessment on the elementary school students` achievement of English in the Gangnam district in Seoul. According to the analysis on the 2010 National Student Assessment for the 6th graders in the elementary school level, Gangnam students` achievement of English was the highest all over the areas as well as Seoul. However, a serious problem related to this is that achievers beyond the national curriculum level are rapidly increasing, and underachievers are as well. The gap between overachievers and underachievers is enormous, which causes a lot of educational problems. So, our made diagnostic assessment was carried out for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders separately at the all 52 elementary schools in the area. The result of the assessment was analyzed and discussed. The result has revealed that since the number of overachievers, who are over the current national curriculum level of English, is not small, the consideration of them should be needed. In this research, we provided our measures both for overachievers and underachievers, including customized lesson plans and level-differentiated teaching materials.

        모국어와 외국어 습득에 관한 보편문법의 역설

        In this paper, I discuss the two issues: the properties of the language acquisition device, an biological organ related to the human language and Plato’s and Orwell’s problems, which are well known as the problems of language acquisition. The nature of human language, that is, creativity and arbitrariness, are also discussed based on the theory of generative grammar. It is argued that the working principle of the algorithm of the language acquisition device enables the chemical combination of essential elements of language, which leads to the creativity and arbitrariness of language. Plato s problem related to the native language acquisition is accounted for by the maturation of the biological language organ and by the substantial minimalism and derivational minimalism. For Orwell s problem related to foreign language acquisition, I tried to find the answer in Chomsky’s(1981) principles and parameters theory. Although all languages are composed by the same principle, the differential characteristics of each language comes from its parameters. The greater differences of parameters between the native language and the foreign language lead to the greater difficulties experienced by foreign language learners. Therefore, in the case of learning a foreign language which has different parameters from the native language, I argue that starting the foreign language learning early is more effective in reducing the difficulty of learning the language.

        In this paper, necessity and application scope of the risk-analysis D/B which assesses the railway safety condition has been introduced. In addition, normalization of analysis work, which is one of the DB development procedures has been conducted. And the structure of accident data management has been introduced through the analysis on the classification scheme used in Korea. Also the improvement of railway accident classification and management scheme which is necessary to accident risk assesment has been presented by these procedures.

        안전 및 안전 관련 시스템 설계를 위한 기능안전성 분석은 각 기술 분야별 안전요건의 검토가 필연적으로 수반된다. 이중 위험분석 이전 단계에 수행되는 방지벽 분석기술은 해당 분야 자원의 흐름으로부터 사용자 기능까지 전 방위적인 검토가 수반되며, 도메인 구성의 근거로 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 철도 분야에 사용되는 방지벽의 특징을 제시하고, 엔지니어링 설계방법론의 준용시 위험사건으로 전개되는 위험도 모델을 재규명하므로서 국내 기업에서 향후 준수하여야 할 국제 기능안전성 규격들과 관련된 시스템 엔지니어링 실행 방안을 제시하고자 한다. Functional Analysis is required in order to design a safety system in general. Inevitably involves review of the safety requirements for each technology sector. Is carried out to elucidate the risk analysis to be performed prior to the analysis with barrier. Involves the flow of resources to the user function that field review. Is used as the basis of the review of the domain configuration. In this paper, we present the characteristics of barrier is used in areas such as railways. The re-investigate the case when the risk model developed by Risk mutatis mutandis of engineering design methodology. We present the relevant safety standards and international capabilities to collaborative practices comply with the enterprises in the future.

        영어 어순 변화에 대한 이해

        영어는 지금의 영국 본토로 449년에 게르만족이 이동(German Conquest)한 이후에 고대영어 시대와 중세영어 시대를 거쳐 현대영어로 발전 해 오면서 철자, 발음, 어순 그리고 문법 등의 모든 면에서 상당한 변화가 있었다. 본 논문에서는 특히 영어의 어순 변화에 대한 공시적 및 통시적 분석을 살펴보고, 이들 분석을 통하여 현대 영어 어순 구조가 갖는 특징을 이해하도록 한다. 이러한 어순 구조에 대한 이해는 영어를 가르치는 교사들에게도 영어를 단순한 언어 도구 이상의 역사와 문화가 반영된 실체로서 이해하는데 도움이 될 것이다. This paper is a comparative study of synchronic and diachronic analysis of changes in English word order in terms of language universals. Particularly, in the study of synchronic analysis of word order, major opinions in the field of language typology have been discussed on the basis of language universals. The study shows that generative grammar should have concrete examples to complement abstract and synchronic analyses. Furthermore, diachronic analysis should be reflected as well for the syntactic analysis of word order to support its abstract argument. The abstraction of generative grammar in its turn should acknowledge the psychological reality of native speakers. For the specifics of changes in English word order, both Stockwell`s opinion of the process of word order change from Proto-Germanic to Modern English and Vennemann`s diachronic position of the hypothesis of basic word order change have been analyzed. Greenberg`s language universals have also been discussed to examine the order of arrangement of principal components in English structure. Further studies will be helpful in resolving the remaining problems of phrase structure analysis pertaining to generative grammar.
