          정삼투막에 의한 붕산함유 방사성 폐액 처리를 위한 pH 및 이온강도 영향

          일반적으로 역삼투압 공정에 의해 중성 pH 조건에서 40~90%의 붕소를 회수할 수 있다.정삼투공정은 새로운 선진 기술로 폐수처리 및 담수화 분야에서 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 정삼투공정으로 방사성 액체 폐기물의 붕소제거 가능성을 고찰하고자 하는데 있다. 액체폐기물에서의 붕소 제거를 위한 정삼투공정의 성능을 평가하기 위해 pH, 삼투압, 용액의 이온강도 등을 고려하였다. 폐액의 붕산분리능을 좌우하는 주 조업변수인 pH 조건은 pH 7 이하에서 80% 이상의 붕소분리를 달성할 수 있었다. 약 1,000 mg/L 정도의 염농도에서는 막의 물의 플럭스는 거의 영향이 없었으나 붕소 투과율은 약간 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 공급액 내 붕소 농도 증가에 따라 붕소플럭스는 선형적으로 증가하였으며, 붕소의 투과율은 약 80% 정도로 일정하였다. In general, boron recovery of 40-90% could be achieved by Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes in neutral pH condition. As an emerging technology, Forward Osmosis (FO) membrane has attracted growing interest in wastewater treatment and desalination. The objective of this study is to evaluate the possibility of the boron removal in radioactive liquid waste by FO. In this study, the performance of FO was investigated to remove boron in the simulated liquid waste as the factors such as pH, osmotic pressure, ionic strength of solution, etc. The pH of feed solution is a major operating parameter which strongly influences to the permeation of boron and more than 80% of boron content can be separated when conducted at pH values less than 7. The water flux is not influenced but the boron flux and permeation rate tends to decrease in the low salt concentration of 1,000 mg/L. The boron flux increases linearly, but the permeation ratio of reducing boron is nearly constant even with changes in the draw solution concentration.

          고지방 식이 비만 모델 마우스의 체중 및 혈장 지질 대사에 미치는 한방보조식품의 영향

          Objective : Recently, obesity has increased at an alarming rate and is now a worldwide health problem. Natural dietary supplement, $CharmSlim^{(R)}$(C), is mixed pills, which consists of beans, black sesames, kelps, onions, adlay seeds, anchovies, pyogo mushrooms, green tea. Our study was performed to determine the weight-loss effects of natural dietary supplement, based on natural ingredients, in mice fed high-fat diet with an abundance of carbohydrates. Methods : Four groups of male ICR mice were fed different diets during 6 weeks: normal diet(NOR), high-fat (15%, w/w) diet(HF), high-fat supplemented with natural dietary supplement powdered 5%(C5) and 10%(C10) groups. We measured the changes of food intake, body weight and adipose tissues weights. Also we examined levels of lipid profiles in serum. Results : Body weight, liver weight and food efficiency ratio were significantly higher in the HF group than in NOR group. After 6 weeks of treatment, body weight, liver weight and adipose tissues weights (epididymal, perinephric, visceral and BAT) were significantly decreased in the C10 group when compared to the control HF group. The C10 group had markedly lower serum levels of total cholesterol and triglyceride when compared with HF group. Conclusion : These results demonstrate that this dietary supplement can suppress the increased lipid profiles, body weight and fat gains, thus could be considered as an effective adjunct in the treatment of obesity.

          한약재 추출물 함유 음료가 알코올 투여 흰쥐의 알코올 대사 관련 효소에 미치는 영향

          Alcohol is the most widely psychoactive drug and has known in almost all civilization since ancient time. Recently increase consuming alcoholic beverages, alcohol is on of the major public health problems in the world. Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) play important roles in the metabolism of alcohols and aldehydes. The drink consists of medicinal herbs, Puerariae Radix, Phyllostachyos Folium, Citri Pericarpium, Polygonati Rhizoma, Rehmanniae Rhizoma (Vinegar), which have been widely used in oriental medicine. This study was designed to investigate effects of medicinal herbal drink (MHD) on alcohol metabolism in drunken SD rats subjects. In experiment, rats were treated to ethanol (EtOH, 3 g/kg, PO) at 60 min. after saline (CON) or MHD (1 ml/kg, PO) administration. The blood alcohol concentration (BAC), blood acetaldehyde concentration (BALC) activities of ADH, ALDH, AST and ALT were significantly decreased in MHD group than in control group as a time-dependent manner. And drinking water volume in MHD group with duplicate treatment, were significantly decreased than in CON group. These results suggested that MHD intake could give an influence upon the reduction in BAC and BALC may alleviate acute ethanol-induced hepatotoxicity by altering alcohol metabolic enzyme activities.

          보중익기탕 (補中益氣湯)의 한국, 중국, 일본 처방에 대한 항염증 및 항산화 효과 비교 연구

          Objectives : Bojungikgitang (BJT), the Oriental medical prescription has been traditionally used about improvement of immune response and infective disease at Asian nation. In this study, we has compared about the anti-inflammatory and antioxidative effects on BJT of three countries including Korea (Korean Traditional Medicine, KTM), China (Traditional Chinese Medicine, CTM) and Japan (Japanese Traditional Medicine, JTM). Methods : We has basically using LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. The expression of these inflammatory mediators has measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Also, free radical scavenging assay has tested for anti-oxidative activity as well as the contents of total flavonoid and polyphenol. Results : As a result, we were founded the inhibitory effects of BJT (KTM, CTM, JTM) on LPS-induced production of NO, TNF-α and IL-6 as well as the anti-oxidative activities. Especially the KTM was most effective in anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative activities. Conclusions : These results indicate that BJT (KTM, CTM, JTM) has a good anti- inflammatory and anti-oxidative effects. But, there were degree of effects on between pharmacopoeia of the countries. Thus, further study is required that find appropriate methods for extracting as well as establish of standardized processes in order to improve the quality of BJT (KTM, CTM, JTM) as an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative agent for treatment of inflammatory diseases.

          대시호탕의 새로운 제형이 3T3-L1에서 지방세포 증식과 분화 과정에 미치는 영향

          Objectives : Daesiho-tang (DSHT) has been widely used in the treatment of cerebral infarct in traditional medicine. However, there was not report on the anti-obesity-related diseases efficacy of DSHT. In this study, we investigated the effects for the new formulation of DSHT, on the adipocyte differentiation cycle in 3T3-L1 cells. Methods : 3T3-L1 cells were treated with DSHT (50, 100, 200 ㎍/㎖) during differentiation for 6 days. Also, the inhibitory effect of DSHT against 3T3-L1 adipogenesis was evaluated in various stage of adipogenesis such as early (0-2day), intermediate (2-4day), and terminal stage (4-6day). The accumulation of lipid droplets was determined by Oil Red O staining. and, the expressions of genes related to adipogenesis were measured by RT-PCR and Western blot analyses. Results : DSHT showed inhibitory activity on adipocyte differentiation at 3T3-L1 preadipocytes without affect cell toxicity as assessed by measuring fat accumulation and adipogenesis. In addition, DSHT significantly reduced the expression levels of several adipocyte marker genes including proliferator activated receptor-γ (PPAR-γ) and CCAAT/ enhancer-binding protein-α (C/EBP-α). Also, the anti-adipogenic effect of DSHT was strongly limited in the intermediate (2-4 day), terminal stage (4-6 day) of 3T3-L1 adipogenesis. In addition, the DSHT treatment down- regulated mRNA expression levels of PPAR-γ,, C/EBP-α in mature 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Conclusions : These results suggest that, the ability of DSHT has inhibited overall adipogenesis and lipid accumulation in the 3T3-L1 cells. The new formulation of DSHT may be a promising medicine for the treatment of obesity and related metabolic disorders.

        • 논문 : 국어학 ; 한국어능력시험 대화문에 나타난 거절 화행 분석

          본고에서는 한국어 능력시험에 나타난 대화문 중에서 거절의 의사를 표시하는 대화문을 추출하여 분석하였다. 토픽에 제시된 거절 대화문을 추출한 후, 거절을 이끌어내기 위해 제시된 상황, 거절 화행 전략, 대화자 간의 사회적 변인의 세 가지의 분석 기준을 통하여 대화문을 분석하였다. 대화문을 분석한 결과, 거절을 이끌어내는 유도 화행은 요청, 제공, 제안, 초대 상황으로 분석할 수 있었는데, 요청, 제안 상황은 매우 높은 빈도로 나타난 반면 제공, 초대 상황은 매우 낮은 빈도로 나타나 있어 거절 발화 장면이 요청과 제안 상황으로 치우쳐져 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 본고에서 거절 화행의 분석의 틀로 삼은 이해영(2003)에서 거절 화행 분석 기준으로 제시한 화행 전략 중 다수의 전략이 전혀사용되고 있지 않은 점을 보아 한국어 능력시험 대화문에서는 다양한 거절 전략이 제시되지 않는다는 것을 알 수 있다. 한편 문제를 풀기 위해 제시되는 대화문의 특성상 대화를 통해 대화자 간의 관계가 정확하게 제시되지 않은 경우가 더 많아 정확한 사회적 변인을 분석할 수는 없었으나, 관계가 제시된 경우를 살펴볼 때 판매원과 손님 관계가 가장 많이 나타난 것을 알 수 있었다. 분석을 통해 한국어 능력시험 거절 대화문에는 다양한 대화 상황과 대화자의 관계, 거절 전략이 제시되어 있지 않다고 볼 수 있겠다. 한국어 능력시험은 한국어 학습자들이 가장 접하기 쉬운 자료 중의 하나로, 한국어 능력시험에 나타난 거절 대화문을 통하여 학습자들이 한국어 거절 전략을 간접적으로 학습할 가능성이 있으므로 다양한 거절의 상황과 전략, 대화자의 관계가 제시되어야 하겠다고 본다. This study analyzed dialogues that express the intention to refuse among dialogues in the Test of Proficiency In Korean(TOPIK). After extracting dialogues that contain refusals in the TOPIK, the study analyzed dialogues based on three standards of refusal situations, strategies for the speech act of refusals, and social factors between speakers. The analysis results showed that the acts that induce refusals were largely classified into the request, provision, suggestion, and invitation. While the situations of request and suggestion exhibited high frequencies, the situations of provision and invitation were at visibly low frequencies. In other words, the scenes that prompted refusals in the TOPIK were inclined toward situations of request and suggestion. Moreover, given that many of the strategies for the act of speech proposed by Hae-Yeong Lee(2003) were not used at all, this study confirmed that dialogues in the TOPIK did not suggest various refusal strategies. In terms of the relationship between speakers, salesmen and customers accounted for the largest share of the dialogues. This analysis revealed that refusal-based dialogues in the TOPIK did not offer a variety of conversational situations, relationships between speakers, and refusal strategies. The TOPIK is one of the most accessible materials for Korean learners. Therefore, a number of Korean learners are likely to learn refusal strategies in Korean through dialogues exhibited in the TOPIK. Therefore, the TOPIK should be modified to suggest various refusal situations, strategies, and relationships between speakers.

          Objectives : Samchulkunbitang (SCKBT), an oriental herbal formula, has been used in Asian countries including Korea, China and Japan to treat the chronic gastritis, gastric ulcers and gastroptosis. However, there was not report on the anti-obesity-related diseases efficacy of SCKBT. we investigated the antioxidant effects of Samchulkunbitang soft extract (SCKBTSE). We also investigated the anti-obesity-related diseases effect of SCKBT-SE, on adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 cells and PDGF-BB-induced proliferation of rat aortic Vascular smooth muscle (VSMC, A-10). Methods : Preferentially, we analyzed the component of SCKBT-SE using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). In vitro, We investigated the anti-oxidant properties of SCKBT-SE on the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, contents of total flavonoid and polyphenol. 3T3-L1 cells were treated with SCKBT-SE (100 to 500 ㎍/㎖) during differentiation for 8 days. The accumulation of lipid droplets was determined by Oil Red O staining. And, To investigate the A-10 cells anti-proliferative effect of SCKBT-SE, we performed MTT assays. Results : SCKBT-SE showed inhibitory activity on adipocyte differentiation at 3T3-L1 preadipocytes without affect cell toxicity. In addition, The pre-incubation of SCKBT-SE (100 ㎍/㎖) significantly inhibited proliferation of PDGF-BB-induced VSMCs. Conclusions : The SCKBT-SE according to the present invention has excellent antihyperlipidemic and antiatherogenic effects as well as an antiobesity effect, has an effect of simultaneously treating obesity, hyperlipidemia, and arteriosclerosis, and is free from side effects by containing a traditional medicine as an active ingredient, and thus can be useful as an agent for preventing or treating obesity-related diseases

          오적산 (五積散)의 고지방식이 마우스 지방축적억제 및 3T3-L1지방세포에서의 비만 조절 기전에 관한 연구

          Objectives: Ojeok-san (OJS), an oriental herbal formula, has been used in Asian countries including Korea, China and Japan to treat the common cold and illnesses including fatigue and gastrointestinal disorders. The purpose of this study was to examine the anti-obesity effect and molecular mechanism of OJS, on adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 cells. Also, the effects of OJS in obese mice fed a high-fat diet on adiposity were examined. Methods: Preferentially, we analyzed the component of OJS and measured the stability of its component in OJS according to study periods using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). In vitro, 3T3-L1 cells were treated with OJS (50 to 200 μg/mL) during differentiation for 8 days. The accumulation of lipid droplets was determined by Oil Red O staining. The expressions of genes related to adipogenesis were measured by RT-PCR and Western blot analyses. For anti-obesty effect in vivo, we experimented for 8 weeks with four group (normal diet (CON), high-fat diet (HF), high-fat diet with OJS (HF+OJS) and high-fat diet with Bang-pung-tong-sung-san (HF+BTS) in comparison group HF+OJS). Results: OJS showed inhibitory activity on adipocyte differentiation at 3T3-L1 preadipocytes without affect cell toxicity as assessed by measuring fat accumulation and adipogenesis. In addition, OJS significantly reduced the expression levels of several adipocyte marker genes including proliferator activated receptor-γ (PPAR-γ) and CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein-α (C/EBP-α). Also OJS-administered mice showed significant inhibitory of body weights and abdominal adipose tissue weights. Conclusions: This study showed that traditional medicine OJS has an anti-obesity effect in vitro and in vivo. Thus, OJS could be developed as a supplement for reduction of body weight gain induced by an obesity.

          한약재 함유 헤어토닉 및 식품이 C57BL/6 마우스의 탈모 모델에서 모발성장에 미치는 영향

          Objective: This study was carried out to investigate effect of korean medicinal herbs-included hair tonic (MHT) and food (MF) on hair growth in an alopecia model of C57BL/6 mice. Methods: Six-weeks old mice were given laboratory rodent chow diet for 1 week. Then, we used a depilatory for hair removal on mice. The next day, mice were randomized and separated in 3 groups of 6 mice; normal group (N, vehicle epidermal application+normal diet-treated group), positive control group (C, 3% minoxidil sulfate epidermal application+normal diet-treated group), and the treatment group (T, HT epidermal application+ MF diet-treated group). The hair regrowth was determined by photograph, which was taken at 7, 14 and 21 days. And scoring indices, hair density and hair thickness, were evaluated by Folliscope at same day. In addition, the hair regrowth was analyzed insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) in the dorsal skin of mice. Results: As a result, not only external appearance but also hair density and hair thickness on dorsal skin were increased more in C, T groups than in N group at 21 days with mixed treatment. Therefore, distinct regrowth pattern is appeared by treatment of herbal tonic and natural food for 21 days. Also, the expressions of IGF-1 on dorsal skin were higher in C, T groups than in N group. Conclusion: These results suggested that this herbal hair tonic and natural food has hair growth promoting activities and may be useful for treatment of bald or alopecia.

          가미소요산의 새로운 제형에 대한 항산화 활성 및 항염증 효능평가

          Objectives : Gamisoyosan (GMS) is a useful prescription for treating insomnia, dysmenorrhea and infertility induced by a stress. Also, GMS has been used traditionally to improve systemic circulation and biological energy production. The purpose of this study was to assess the anti-oxidant activity and anti-inflammatory effects of Gamisoyosan Formulation (Soft extract, GMS-SE). Methods : The biological activities such as anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects were measured through cell line-based in vitro assay. We investigated the anti-oxidant properties of GMS-SE on the 1,1-diphenyl- 2-picryhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, contents of total flavonoid and polyphenol. GMS-SE compared to butyl hydroxy anizole (BHA). Furthermore, based on this result the anti-inflammatory effects of GMS-SE have verified by mechanism from LPS- treated Raw264.7 macrophages. Results : The anti-oxidant activities of GMS-SE increased markedly, in a dose-dependent manner. The GMS-SE showed significant scavenging activity (GMS-SE 500 ㎍/㎖ : 32.77±1.65%, GMS-SE 1000 ㎍/㎖ : 45.06±1.04% and BHA 100 ㎍/㎖ : 39.25±2.41% for DPPH assay). and, The total phenolic compound and flavonoids contents of GMS-SE were 73.93±6.87 ㎍/㎎ and 698.75±6.78 ㎍/㎎. GMS-SE which is LPS has diminished in the LPS-induced release of inflammatory mediators (NO, iNOS, COX2 and PGE2) and pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β) from the RAW264.7 macrophages. Moreover, GMS-SE inhibited the activation of phosphorylation of p38 and ERK MAPKs by induced LPS. Conclusion : The present results indicate that GMS-SE has an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, therefore may be beneficial in diseases which related to oxidative stress-mediated inflammatory disorders.
