          정상인에게서 측정되는 인영촌구맥의 경향성 분석

          The aim of this study is to examine the reliability of Inyoung-Chongu pulse diagnosis by analyzing Inyoung-Chongu pulse measured on normal people. I measure the size of Inyoung & Chongu pulse, ratio of Inyoung to Chongu, and ratio of Chongu to Inyoung on 50 normal people. Inyoung pulse of normal people is 6.44±1.62 volt and Chongu pulse of normal people is 6.81±1.70 volt. The ratio of Inyoun to Chongu is 1.03±0.50 and that of Chongu to Inyoung is 1.12±0.41. Through this experiment, I conclude that the Inyoung-Chongu pulse diagnosis is reproducible on normal people and can develop pulse diagnosis device through comparison between Inyoung and Chongu pulse.

          미강 · 황칠 발효추출물이 B16F10 세포의 미백에 미치는 효과

          The purpose of this study is to research the whitening effects of fermentation extract made from the Rice bran and Dendropanax(FRD) Fermentation conditions were as follows; 1) Dendropanaxand and Rice bran were blended in a ratio of 1 to 1, 2) a weight of sugar was 10% of the total weight, 3) an amount of enzyme was 0.1%, and 4) a temperature was 20℃. It has been fermented for 90 days. In order to observe the whitening effects of FRD, the author measured the cell viability and the inhibition rate of the melanin biosynthesis, the activity of tyrosinase and SOD (superoxide dismutase) in malignant melanoma, B16F10 cells. As a result, FRD significantly inhibited the cell viability of B16F10 in more than 500 ㎍/㎖. FRD significantly suppressed the generation of melanin, and that induced by α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) in more than 1,000 ㎍/㎖. FRD significantly decreased the activity of tyrosinase and that induced by α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) in more than 500 ㎍/㎖. FRD did not changed the activity of SOD in dose dependent manner. Therefore, the author considered that the fermentation extract made from a Rice bran and Dendropanax will be able to produce high value-added products, if used as a commercial.           합곡(合谷) 복류(復溜) 보사(補瀉) 시술(施術)이 소한(少汗)에 미치는 영향(影響)(1)

          Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the tonification & sedation manipulation for LI4 and KI7 on lacking of sweating in cold environment. Methods: The participants were divided into 3 groups as intact group without acupuncture, acupuncture group inserting and twisting with LI4 tonificaton and KI7 sedation method(LI4-tonify·KI7-purge) and acupuncture group inserting and twisting with LI4 sedation and KI7 tonificaton method(LI4-purge·KI7-tonify). We obtained baseline data at cold condition with the temperature 14±1℃. After making the participant staying in cold condition for 10 minute, we measured sweating rate in skin surface, body temperature, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, deoxy-Hb and oxy-Hb in subcutaneous. Results: After acupuncture in cold environment, the sweating rate in skin surface significantly decreased in KI7-purge·LI4-tonify group comparing the intact groups. The body temperature significantly increased in LI4-tonify·KI7-purge and LI4-purge·KI7-tonify groups comparing the intact group. The oxygen saturation significantly increased in LI4-tonify·KI7-purge group comparing the intact group. Conclusions: These findings indicated that LI4 tonificaton and KI7 sedation method(LI4-tonify·KI7-purge) could be effective for production of sweating in cold condition.

          외관(外關)(TE5),협계(俠谿)(GB43) 자침이 SQUID로 측정한 뇌 청각영역의 뇌자도(腦磁圖) 변화에 미치는 영향

          Objectives and Methods: Using the 2-channel DROS SQUID (Korea Research Institute of Standards of Science, 1999), the present study was carried out to record changes elicited in the auditory cortex by acupuncture stimulus on right TE5 (Waiguan) and GB43 (Xiaxi). Needle-retention stimulation of TE5 and GB43 were done for acquiring the brain activities changed by acupuncture. Acupoint TE5 and GB43 is known to be effective for the treatment of ear-related disease, such as deafness and tinnitus, and to be suspected to be related to the auditory cortex. Auditory evoked magnetic fields were recorded from the Left hemisphere of five subjects, in response to contralateral ear stimulation by irregularly spaced 170 msec Long 1kHz tone busts (Korea Research Institute of Standards of Science) Results and Conclusions: The result as follows. The Latency and amplitude of SQUID MEG responses at the human auditory cortex changed by needle-retention condition on TE5 were 4msec and 9.2 fT, respectively, which were slower and smaller than those of no-acupuncture condition. The Latency and amplitude of SQUID MEG responses at the human auditory cortex changed by needle-retention condition on GB43 were 7.2 msec and 1.6 fT, respectively, which were slower and Larger than those of no-acupuncture condition. The Latency of SQUID MEG responses at the human auditory cortex changed by needle-retention condition on GB43 condition was slower than that of TE5 acupuncture condition.

          황칠 · 미강 발효 추출물이 tyrosinase 활성 저해 및 항산화에 미치는 효과

          In this study, we used the mixture made from the Rice bran 45 ㎏, Dendropanax 5 ㎏, the sugar of the 10% of the total weight, and the enzyme of the 0.1% of the total weight. After the mixture were fermented for 90 days under 20 ℃, we measured the cell viability and the inhibition rate of the melanin biosynthesis, the activity of tyrosinase and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in malignant melanoma, B16F10 cells, in order to survey the whitening effect and the mechanism of the effects on the sample. As a result, the samples significantly suppressed the cell viability of B16F10 in more than 500 ㎍/㎖ and significantly inhibited the generation of melanin induced by α-MSH in more than 1,000 ㎍/㎖. Sample decreased the activity of tyrosinase while increased the activity of SOD in dose dependent manner. Therefore, we considered that the fermentation extract made from a Rice bran and Dendropanax will be able to produce high value-added products, if used as a commercial.

          배(梨) 추출물과 길경(桔梗) 행인(杏仁) 배합제제의 용량 및 기간별 투여가 Ovalbumin으로 유발된 천식 생쥐에 미치는 영향

          Objectives: Oriental pear was used as traditional remedies for respiratory diseases like cough and asthma etc. The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of preventing asthma by the combination of phenolic compound extracted from pear and herbal drugs. Methods: In order to study the effects of preventing asthma by the combination of phenolic compound extracted from pear and herbal drugs (Platycodon grandiflorum, Prunus armeniaca) on allergic asthma, mice were pre-treated by oral administration of the solution before antigen sensitization for 10 days and 20days. And 2 days later, mice were actively sensitized with a subcutaneous injection of ovalbumin and 13 days later, they were provoked with ovalbumin aerosols. The experimental groups were divided 6groups (10d1P, 10d2P, 10d4P, 20d1P, 20d2P and 20d4P) by meditation quantity and period. We measured isometric contractile responses to acetylcholine (ACh) and KCl in the isolated tracheal smooth muscle (TSM), IL-4, eosinophil and lymphocyte in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), IgE in serum, WBC, RBC and hemoglobin in blood. Results: Contractile responses of TSM to ACh, the sensitivity of TSM to Ach and the maximal contractile response of TSM to KCl were decreased by direct proportion of meditation quantity. Eosinophil and IL-4 level in BALF were more significantly decreased, and IgE level in serum was more significantly increased in 10d4P and 20d4P group than the control group. Conclusions: Based on the above results, it is assumed that oral administration of the combination of phenolic compound extracted from pear and herbal drugs (Platycodon grandiflorum, Prunus armeniaca) can help the preventing effects of allergic asthma.

          양파와 가시오가피 혼합 추출액이 비만 흰쥐에 미치는 영향

          The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of onion and acanthopanax senticosus on body weight change, serum total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglyceride, free fatty acid, total lipid, phospholipid level, renal and liver function test, and CBC in obese rats and mice. Obese rats induced by high-fat fed are medicated for 7 weeks. Rats are divided into four groups depending on the medication; normal group (general-fat fed and no-medication), control group (high-fat fed and no medication), sample A group (high-fat fed and onion 100% extracted medication), sample B group (high-fat fed and onion 50% & acanthopanax senticosus 50% extracted medication), sample C group (high-fat fed and red onion 50% & acanthopanax senticosus 50% extracted medication). After medication, obesity related index, renal and liver function test, and CBC are analysed. There are significant statistical differences among control group and all experimental groups for the body weight change. There are significant statistical differences among control groups and all experimental groups for the total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglyceride level, free fatty acid, and phospholipid level. These results suggest that medications of onion and acanthopanax senticosus extracted products are effective for the treatment of obesity. Especially, onion 100% extracted product is more effective than the others.

          CWS-A 방의 뇌혈류역학적 변화 및 안전성에 관한 연구

          This study was designed to investigate the effects of a new herbal medicine named CWS-A on the changes in regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) and mean arterial blood pressure (MABP) in normal rats, and further to determine the mechanism of action. Also, this study was designed to investigate the effects of CWS-A on the changes in rCBF in cerebral ischemic rats and the safety examination of CWS-A in rats regared to body weight change, renal and liver function test, CBC, LD50 and histological observation in rats. The rCBF was significantly and stably increased and MABP was significantly decreased by CWS-A during the period of cerebral reperfusion in normal rats. However, there were no here were no significant changes of rCBF in ischemic rats. In additional, there were no significant changes on the safety examination. In conclusion, these results suggest that medication of CWS-A is effective for the improve the cerebral blood flow and CWS-A can be prescribed as vertigo(眩暈) symptoms treatment.

          양파식초가 뇌혈류 및 안전성에 미치는 영향

          The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of onion vinegar on the cerebral blood flow by measuring the changes of regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) and mean arterial blood pressure (MABP) and by observing the recovery of focal ischemic brain injury in rats. Rats are divided into thee groups depending on the medication; control group (no medication), 8.8-OV group (vinegar using 8.8 brix onion medication), 14.6-OV group (vinegar using 14.6 brix onion medication). The medication of onion vinegar significantly increased rCBF but decreased MABP. This result suggests that onion vinegar significantly increased rCBF by dilating arterial diameter. In addition, focal ischemic brain injury is induced in rats by middle cerebral arterial occlusion. The recovery from focal ischemic brain injury is more significantly improved in the groups using onion vinegar compared to the control group. The amount of recovery is measured by the GAP-43 and the medication of onion vinegar significantly increased GAP-43. This result suggests that onion vinegar is effective on the nerve regeneration. After the medication, the change of body weight, outcomes of renal and liver function test, and outcomes of CBC are analysed for safety examination. There are no statistical differences among control group and all experimental groups in the body weight, renal and liver function test, and CBC. In conclusion, these results suggest that onion vinegar can increase rCBF in normal state, and improve the stability of rCBF in ischemic state.
