Malignant fibrous histiocytoma(MFH) is a soft tissue sarcoma arising from the extremities and retroperitoneum in older adults. Primary intracranial MFH is extremely rare. A 29-year-old woman presented with headache showing three large masses on brain magnetic resonance image(MRI). She had undergone extended total gastrectomy with splenectomy under the diagnosis of advanced gastric cancer three years previously. Systemic positron extension tomography(PET) computed tomography(CT) scan on routine follow-up study before the first brain surgery revealed no hot spots. Three masses were totally removed at a single session. The pathology was confirmed to be typical MFH. Two months after the first brain surgery, she underwent tonsillectomy due to a rapidly growing tonsillar mass and the pathology was found out to be MFH. Postoperative neck CT with angiography for the evaluation of hypotension showed no significant finding. Except for the tonsillar mass, she had been symptom free during 10 months after the first brain surgery. Between 11th and 18th months postoperatively, multiple intracranial recurrences including metastatic lesions of the mediastinum and the spine were noticed. She died of pneumonia 20 months after the first brain surgery during salvage chemotherapy. We report a rare case of primary MFH of the brain with a past medical history of advanced gastric cancer.
A study was carried out to investigate the fluid-structure interaction phenomena of buried hydrophone system that exposed complex loads due to handling, transportation and installation. The buried hydrophone system has necessarily neighborhood structures for installation. Because of the neighborhood structure, acoustic field is deformed. We analyze the piezoelectric-structural-acoustic coupled problem and the results to use a finite element analysis software, ANSYS, which has an coupled field analysis capability. The effect of the component of hydrophone system is revealed altogether in pressure distribution. So, we classify and analyze the problem by four different compositions for decomposition.
This paper establishes a modeling and simulation procedure for structural response and reliability of a cylindrical array sensor on submarines under the shock generated by underwater explosion. The structural reliability of SONAR is important because the submarine could get out of combat ability by the structural damage of the SONAR upon explosion. A cylindrical array sensor was first modeled using the finite element method. Modal analysis was then performed for the check of the reliability of the modeling. The shock resistance simulations were performed for the responses to the structural shock waves and for the responses to the directly applied underwater shock waves, according to BV-043 and MIL-STD-901D, respectively. The stresses of the structure were evaluated with von-Mises scheme. Vulnerable regions were exposed through mapping the maximum stress to the structural model. Maximum stress of the SONAR was compared with the yield stress of the material to examine the structural reliability.
Underwater acoustic transducers are widely used for SONAR application, whose important design parameters are shapes. materials, dimensions and supporting structures. Practical design method of transducers consists of manufacturing, experiments and modifications so that it requires much time and expenses. In this study, an analytical method was developed for the Tonpilz type transducers using the commercial finite element analysis code ATILA which can solve the electro-mechanical coupling problems. A finite element model was established including the transducer elements such as ceramic stack, head mass, tail mass, tensile bolt, and molding layers. The proposed model was verified and modified by comparing the in-air and in-water test results of prototypes. The developed analysis method will be effectively used for the sensitivity analysis of design parameters in transducer design process.
본 연구는 청소년들의 과도한 웹툰 이용 현상에 주목하여 청소년 웹툰중독의 가능성을 논하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 기존 연구들의 개관과 함께 웹툰 이용 현황 조사 결과를 제시하여 근거를 더하였다. 웹툰 사용자의 49%를 차지하는 청소년들은 심리적 스트레스, 낮은 자기통제력, 충동성 등의 심리적 취약성을 가진다. 이는 청소년들이 다른 미디어처럼 웹툰에 중독될 수 있게 만드는 요인이 된다. 정보 및 사회적 상호작용 동기, 즐거움/편리성 동기, 현실도피/긴장해소 동기 등의 웹툰 이용 동기 또한 마찬가지로 청소년들이 웹툰에 중독될 수 있는 근거가 된다. 이를 설명하기 위해서 청소년의 기본심리욕구의 불만족과 동기간의 불균형을 이론적 배경으로 삼았다. 웹툰중독이 행동중독의 하위요인으로 개념화될 것을 고려하여 기존 행동중독의 개념화 과정을 살펴봄으로써 웹툰중독 연구의 앞으로의 방향을 제시하였다. 또한, 웹툰 이용 현황 조사를 통하여 웹툰중독 위험군 청소년과 일반 이용자군 청소년 사이의 차이를 교차분석을 이용해 밝혔다. 그 결과, 성별, 웹툰 이용 기간, 일평균 웹툰 이용시간, 웹툰 결제 여부, 웹툰 이용 만족도, 주위사람으로부터 중독이라는 충고를 들은 경험, 웹툰 이용으로 관계에서의 갈등 경험에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 의의와 추후연구의 방향에 대하여 논의하였다. This study aims to discuss the possibility of adolescent webtoon addiction by paying attention to the phenomenon of excessive use of webtoon by young people. To this end, we have added the basis by presenting the results of the survey on the use of webtoon along with the overview of existing studies. Young people, who account for 49% of webtoon users, have psychological vulnerability such as psychological stress, low self-control, and impulsiveness. This is a factor that makes young people addict to webtoons like other media. The motivations for using webtoons such as information and social interaction motivation, pleasure/convenience motivation, and motivation to escape/relieve tension are also the basis for adolescents to be addicted to webtoons. To explain this, the dissatisfaction of the basic psychological needs and motivational imbalance of the youth was made as a theoretical background. Considering that webtoon addiction will be conceptualized as a subfactor of behavioral addiction, we have presented the future direction of webtoon addiction research by examining the conceptualization process of existing behavioral addiction. In addition, through the survey on the use of webtoons, the difference between the youth of the risk group of the webtoon addiction and the youth of the general user group was analyzed using cross analysis. As a result, there were significant differences in gender, duration of webtoon use, daily average webtoon usage time, whether to pay for webtoons, satisfaction with using webtoons, experience of advice about addiction from people around them, and conflict experience in relationships through using webtoons. Finally, based on the results of this study, we discussed the significance of the study and the direction of future research.
