As track density needs to increase to the order of 10, 000 tpi, the suspension has become a critical component in hard disk drives. One of the main obstacles to attain high track density is the structural resonances of the suspension in lateral direction. We investigate the suspension dynamics through the experimental modal analysis and the finite element method. An LDV (Laser Doppler Vibrometer) is employed to measure the response of the suspension which is excited by a shaker and an inpulse hammer for the free condition and the loaded condition, respectively. After comparing the experimental and numerical results, we study how the initial geometry of the bend region affects the suspension dynamics. It is found that the natural frequency of the sway mode decreases as the bend ratio and the bend angle increase. The shape of torsional mode changes as the mass of a slider increases, resulting in a local decrease in the natural frequency.
네트워크 중립성 정책과 미디어 프레임 연구: 내용분석과 의미망분석을 중심으로

미국에서 시작된 네트워크 중립성 논의는 다른 나라에도 확산되고 있다. 본 연구는 미국에서 미디어가 네트워크 중립성 정책결정에 어떻게 영향을 미치는 가에 대한 가설적인 모델을 통해 국내외 네트워크 중립성 이슈에 대한 논의의 틀을 제시하고 한다. 지금까지 학자들은 통신정책 관련 미디어 보도가 매체정책결정과정에 영향을 미친다고 예상했으나 실질적인 연구는 부족했다. 본 논문은 프레이밍이론과 의제설정이론을 바탕으로 뉴욕타임즈, 월스트리트저널, 워싱턴포스트, USA투데이 등 미국 4대 메이저 신문사의 네트워크 중립성 정책 언론보도를 분석하였다. 연구방법으로는 범주적 내용 분석과 의미망 분석을 이용하였다. 연구결과 신문사는 네트워크 중립성에 대한 정의, 이슈에 대한 입장표명, 찬반에 대한 구체적인 논거, 신뢰하는 취재원 등에 대해 각기 다른 접근을 취하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 차이는 네트워크 중립성이라는 공적 아젠다에 대한 여론을 다양하게 형성함으로써 잠재적으로 해당 정책결정과정에 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 논문은 네트워크 중립성 이슈와 관련해 사람들의 인식 형성에 영향을 주는 미디어의 역할에 대한 이해를 돕고 정책적 논의를 위한 학문적 바탕이 되고자 한다. The debate over net neutrality started in the United States and has expanded to other countries. This study presents a model speculating how newspapers may influence the net-neutrality policy process in the United States which proposes a legal argument framework to discuss net neutrality not only in the region but also in other countries. Previous studies have suggested that media coverage of telecommunications issues can influence policy-making processes but provided no clear evidence. This study employs framing and agenda-setting theories to analyze four well-known newspapers: the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and USA Today. The study conducts a categorical content analysis and a semantic network analysis by focusing on the frequency of and relationships between terms. The results show that the newspapers took different approaches to net neutrality in terms of their definitions of it, positions on the issue, specific arguments for/against net neutrality, and citation of credible sources; and suggest that these differences may influence the net-neutrality policy process by driving public opinion on policy agendas.

To extract hydrogen for stack, fuels such as LPG and LNG were reformed in the fuel processor, which is comprised of desulfurizer, reformer, shift converter, CO remover and steam generator. All elements of fuel processor are integrated in a single package. Highly active catalysts (desulfurizing adsorbent, reforming catalyst, CO shift catalyst, CO removal catalyst) and the various burners were developed and evaluated in this study. The performance of the developed catalysts and the commercial ones was similar. 1 kW, 5 kW class fuel processor systems using the developed catalyst and burner showed efficiency of 75 %(LHV, for LNG). The start-up time of the 1 kW class fuel processor was less than 50 minutes and its volume including insulation was about 30 l. The start-up time of 3 kW and 5 kW class fuel processors with the volume of 90 l and 150 l, respectively, was about 60 minutes. In the case of LPG fuel, efficiency, volume and start-up time of 1kW class fuel processor showed 73 %(LHV), < 60 l and < 60 min, respectively. Advanced fuel processor showed more highly efficiency and shorter start-up time due to the improvement of heat exchanger and operating method. 1 kW and 3 kW class fuel processors have been evaluated for reliability and durability including with on/off test of developed catalysts and burner.
