The failure modes and mechanisms of the interior parts of automobiles by cosmetics were studied under accelerated failing conditions of an actual working environment. The covering films for the interior parts were doped with three types of sunblocks and their ingredients. The failure of the doped films was accelerated by increasing the test temperature. The typical failure modes observed in the study were the swelling and cracking of the film's surface by the decomposition and the micro-structural changes of the films. This study can help the automobile company to design a plastic interior covering film for better reliability.

In this study, plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) method was used to from anodic oxide films on Al alloy and their resistance and morphological characteristics were investigated as a function of film formation voltage and treatment time. Cross-sectional morphology and composition of the PEO films were analyzed by SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) and EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy). The PEO films showed increased surface roughness and thickness with of film formation voltage and treatment time. The wear resistance was found to be the best for the PEO film formed for 5 min at 500V which is attributed to be denser structure relatively and lower surface roughness.

In recent, the demands of household cases and disposable products is increased significantly because a living standard of newly-emerging nations was risen. Therefore, multi-cavity mold and stack mold for the realization of high-productivity have been researched in forefront nations. In this paper, CAE analysis for minimizing the mold core deformation was performed. Finally, 64 cavities injection mold for molding cap which has the insert-type core was fabricated according to the result of CAE analysis.

In recent, the demand of high-productivity injection mold increases because of the growth of international packaging market. The increase of productivity leads to the large-sized injection molding machine and peripheral devices. For solving this problem, the stack mold which is based on the existing machine and device is studied in advanced countries actively. In this study, as the preliminary research of stack mold development, the stack mold which has 2 Level ${\times}4$ Cavity is designed and manufactured. Besides, the motion and structural analysis are executed to verify the stability of developed stack mold.

Recently, ultra precision and light-weight micro products are needed in various industries. Injection molding products with metal insert material is often satisfied with light-weight and precision simultaneously. The researches on macro-size insert deformation have been performed but, a research on micro-size insert is meager. In this paper, the injection molding product with $300{\mu}m$ thin foil insert is designed and insert injection molding process is performed. Finally, the deformation of thin foil insert is analyzed according to insert feature and gate length.
