        공기조화, 냉동 분야의 최근 연구 동향 -2002년 및 2003년 학회지 논문에 대한 종합적 고찰 -

        A review on the papers published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Engineering in 2002 and 2003 has been carried out. Focus has been put on current status of research in the aspect of heating, cooling, air-conditioning, ventilation, sanitation and building environment/design. The conclusions are as follows. (1) Most of fundamental studies on fluid flow were related with heat transportation in diverse facilities. Drop formation and rivulet flow on solid surfaces were interesting topics related with condensation augmentation. Research on micro environment considering flow, heat transfer, humidity was also interesting to promote comfortable living environment. It can be extended considering biological aspects. Development of fans and blowers of high performance and low noise were continuing research topics. Well developed CFD technologies were widely applied for analysis and design of various facilities and their systems. (2) Heat transfer characteristics of enhanced finned tube heat exchangers and heat sinks were extensively investigated. Experimental studies on the boiling heat transfer, vortex generators, fluidized bed heat exchangers, and frosting and defrosting characteristics were also conducted. In addition, the numerical simulations on various heat exchangers were performed and reported to show heat transfer characteristics and performance of the heat exchanger. (3) A review of the recent studies shows that the performance analysis of heat pump have been made by various simulations and experiments. Progresses have been made specifically on the multi-type heat pump systems and other heat pump systems in which exhaust energy is utilized. The performance characteristics of heat pipe have been studied numerically and experimentally, which proves the validity of the developed simulation programs. The effect of various factors on the heat pipe performance has also been examined. Studies of the ice storage system have been focused on the operational characteristics of the system and on the basics of thermal storage materials. Researches into the phase change have been carried out steadily. Several papers deal with the cycle analysis of a few thermodynamic systems which are very useful in the field of air-conditioning and refrigeration. (4) Recent studies on refrigeration and air-conditioning systems have focused on the system performance and efficiency enhancement when new alternative refrigerants are applied. Heat transfer characteristics during evaporation and condensation are investigated for several tube shapes and new alternative refrigerants including natural refrigerants. Efficiency of various compressors and performance of new expansion devices are also dealt with for better design of refrigeration/air conditioning system. In addition to the studies related with thermophysical properties of refrigerant mixtures, studies on new refrigerants are also carried out. It should be noted that the researches on two-phase flow are constantly carried out. (5) A review of the recent studies on absorption refrigeration system indicates that heat and mass transfer enhancement is the key factor in improving the system performance. Various experiments have been carried out and diverse simulation models have been presented. Study on the small scale absorption refrigeration system draws a new attention. Cooling tower was also the research object in the respect of enhancement its efficiency, and performance analysis and optimization was carried out. (6) Based on a review of recent studies on indoor thermal environment and building service systems, it is noticed that research issues have mainly focused on several innovative systems such as personal environmental modules, air-barrier type perimeterless system with UFAC, radiant floor cooling system, etc. New approaches are highlighted for improving indoor environmental conditions and minimizing energy consumption, various activities of building energy management and

        지역난방 공동주택에서 외기온도가 난방부하 패턴에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        During the last decade, an increasing interest in district heating system has emerged. In this paper, the physical measurements and data monitoring by internet were carried out with regard to heating energy consumption at the three apartment housings with district heating system in Ilsan district, Korea. Measurements were made of the thermal factors such as the pressure of heating pipe, flow rates, hot water temperature and etc. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate comprehensively the effect of variable outdoor temperature upon the heating load pattern in apartment housings with district heating system in order to develope the design criteria of this system and to understand the heating energy consumption pattern of user. Furthermore, the paper sets up the database of heating energy consumption in order to forecast the heating energy demand of apartment housings. As the result of the study, it can be seen that average heating load per unit area decrease to the rate of 7.1% according to the rise of 1℃ of the average outdoor temperature. Thus, it suggests the basic data for assessing the design criteria of heating energy consumption based on the field measurements and survey in district heating system.

        단열 규정의 강화가 지역난방 공동주택의 난방열사용량에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        Recently, an increasing interest in district heating system or combined heat and power(CHP) system has emerged rapidly. District heating systems are not only more energy efficient but also provide emergency backup to the power grid as well as the thermal network of a building complex. In this paper, the physical measurements such as hot water heating supply temperature and pressure were carried out by using numerous data loggers. In order to estimate the heating energy consumption, various measured data has been monitoring from mechanical rooms of apartment housings with district heating system in Ko-yang district, Kyung-gi province to data gathering place(University) in Seoul through the internet on the hourly basis. Since 1970s, the insulation standard has been improved through irregular revision many times. Thus, this paper is to show how the heating energy consumption were effected by the variation of insulation standard of residential buildings in Korea. In other words, the purpose of this paper is to understand the effect of the enhancement of overall transmittance coefficient(insulation standard) upon the heating energy consumption of residential buildings. Futhermore, it can be suggested as the basic data assessing the policy measures for heating energy savings in apartment housings.

        수직구조물 후방의 와류현상이 구조물에 설치된 벤투리관의 유체가속 효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 해석 연구

        A convergent-divergent nozzle or venturi nozzle has been used to accelerate the wind speed at its throat. The wind speed at the throat is inversely proportional to its area according to the continuity equation. In this numerical study, an airflow phenomena in the venturi system placed at a vertical structure was investigated to understand the vortex effect occurred at the rearside of the vertical structure on the air speed increment at the throat of the venturi system. For this study, a venturi system sized by 20(m)×20(m)×6(m) was modelled and the area ratio(AR) of the model venturi was 2.86. To see the vortex effect on the air flow acceleration in the venturi throat, two different boundary conditions was defined From the study, it was found that the pressure coefficient(CP) of the venturi system with the vortex formed at the exit of the venturi was about 2.5times of the CP of the venturi system without the vortex effect. The velocity increment rate of the venturi system with the vortex was 61% but 9.5% only at the venturi system without the vortex. Conclusively, it can be said that the venturi system installed in a vertical structure has very positive effect on the flow acceleration at its throat due to the vortex formed at the rear-side of the vertical structure.

        LCC기법을 이용한 공동주택 단지의 난방배관 열손실에 대한 경제성 분석 연구

        We are at an interesting juncture in our power and energy generation history. Not only we are to reduce our dependence on foreign sources of fuel and energy sources, but we must also develop inexpensive and indigenous sources of power and energy that are safe, reliable, and environmentally benign. The objective of this research is to save heating energy consumption of apartments which accounts for about 7% of the total energy consumption. To minimize heat loss during the transportation of heat from supplier to consumer, several pipe insulation materials were tested and analyzed. Economic analysis was done using LCC(life cycle cost) method. The results show that the life cycle cost of polyethylene insulation is 9% less than the glass wool insulation, and 17% less than the NBR elastomeric flexible cellular insulation.

In this paper, the physical measurements and data to be monitoring through the internet were carried out with regard to hot water heating energy consumption at the three apartment housings with district heating system in Sang-am district of Seoul, Korea. Measurements were made of the thermal factors such as the pressure of heating pipe, flow rates, hot water temperature and etc. The objective of this study is to compare the design capacity of reheat exchanger with that of preheat exchanger in order to evaluate for the number of plates of two exchangers to be distributed properly.

        수직 공간 내에서 고도변화에 따른 기압차로 인한 기류현상 예측에 관한 연구

        On 21st century, global warming is the most serious environmental problem threatening the existence of lives on the earth. One of the serious reasons of this nature phenomena was due to the greenhouse effect by carbon dioxide mainly produced with the combustion process of hydro-carbon fuel. and it is mostly produced. In the high oil prices age, intensification of energy efficiency promotion in the building sector is required. Windows are dominating large percentage whole building loads, and are regarding as the primary target of energy efficiency. The purpose of this research is on the obtaining of the renewable energy source in the skyscrape buildings in the metropolitan area. The air movement is happens due to the atmospheric pressure differences in the air. Due to this simple physical theory, it is easily expected to obtain the useful renewable nature energy through the high-raised vertical air stack installed in a tall building. However, there is one problem that should be resolved which is called air-hole effect in the sky-scrape buildings.
