Following natural disasters, there is a need to develop temporary housing through the rapid installation of mass-produced prefabricated housing. This study has developed a model construction manual for prefabricated temporary housing installable in underground spaces. First, the temporary housing prototype was drawn based on opinion poll results from earlier studies. was calculated as the basic unit of the temporary housing living space for one person. Units included panel type, box type and mixed-type, for a variety of field conditions and scales. In order to enable space expansion and movement desirable to the user, the prototype was combination of panel and box types. The drawn prototype was utilized as the basic design template for producing prototypes and for the manual. Second, the possibility of utilizing subway stations as temporary housing was verified through the production of the prototype, and the construction process was summarized in the manual. The manual was developed in the form of a checklist to provide a guideline for users to build with prefab materials.

Vol.25 No.1

Long-life housing means a housing which structural members (Support) such as columns and floor are maintained for a long period of time and the housing can be used for approximately 100 years by replacing components (Infill) such as walls and furniture. The government established「Certification standards of long-life housing construction」on December 24, 2014, requiring the long-life housing certification for construction of apartment houses for over 1,000 households. However, it is necessary to prepare an incentive measure which could be granted to construction related personnel and housing owners due to the effectiveness of such system and recognition that the initial construction cost of long-life housing is high. The purpose of this study is as follows. First, the reasons and necessity of long-life housing cost increase for each construction company, housing owner, infill component manufacturer and designer which are long-life housing related personnel are determined. The direction of incentive grant for supplying long-life housing based on the determined items is established. The result of this study is as follows. First, a special treatment which is higher than the alleviation of construction standards according to the previous ordinance is necessary for construction companies to secure the business feasibility. Also, incentives such as the provision of service space and wide balcony are necessary to improve the preference level of parceling out. Second, financial incentives such as financial support for housing purchase, reduction and exemption of tax (acquisition tax and registration tax), and support of maintenance cost are required for house owners. Third, it is essential to increase opportunities to participate in the market for infill component manufacturers by applying additional points for PQ. Fourth, it is needed to provide compensation for additional human resource and time at the time of designing to designers by preparing the long-life housing design cost standards.

내러티브 메모리얼의 경험공간 구조에 관한 연구

        배세연(Bae, Se-Yeon),장순각(Jang, Soon-Gak) 한국실내디자인학회 2021 한국실내디자인학회논문집 Vol.30 No.2

This study aims to investigate the spatial structure of the memorial in terms of experiential space, targeting the ‘narrative memorial’, which has its own unique identity. The narrative memorial, which has a defined path to deliver story of the events through space, has a different order of experience different to the order of floor plan, so it is necessary to understand the space structure from the perspective of the visitor"s experience. Therefore, the research was conducted by using "visitor journey map" originated from "customer (user) journey map" which has been widely used in the service design field to check the actual experience of users in the entire process of using specific products or services. The selected memorials for the research are US Holocaust Memorial Museum, Yad Vashem Holocaust history museum, and Jewish museum Berlin, which are representative of the modern memorial. The main spatial structure of narrative memorial found in terms of experiential space is as follows: 1. Intersecting structure of emotional experience space and practical educational space that are repeatedly experienced, 2. Emotional experience space that forms step-by-step experiences, 3. The role of a connecting space that allows the memorial to become a background itself telling the story of event, 4. a spatial experience that forms different meanings according to the experience stage even in the same space, 5. a transitional space that generates a staged background change. In summary, in the narrative memorial, all spaces participate in the story of an event commemorated, and these experience spaces are repeatedly experienced with each other, forming a staged experience structure based on the intersection of experiences as a whole. In this way, it can be confirmed that the story and emotional experience of the event conveyed in the memorial are consistently delivered to the visitor, and the memorial acts as a medium of memory to be told as the space itself.

        김지윤(Kim, Jiyun),김수린(Kim, Surin),장순각(Jang, Soon Gak) 한국실내디자인학회 2020 한국실내디자인학회논문집 Vol.29 No.3

The Korean tea-house called ‘Da-bang’ played a role of everyday spaces where relaxation, learning, work, and conversation for modern people just as cafes act as everyday spaces for people nowadays. However, there are not many studies on historical meaning and spatial characteristics of Da-bang. Therefore, this study aims at analyzing the meaning of Da-bang around the 1960s when Da-bang became popular and the interior design industry developed. Seven films were selected with the Da-bang scenes. Through the narrative of scenes and the actions and relationships of the characters, the period meaning was identified and the design characteristics of Da-bang by scene were investigated. The spatial meaning according to the phases of the times in the 1960s films can be summarized in three ways. First, they were places where confused people gathered during the modernization period. Second, they were places where private conversations took place. Third, the images of young people wandering by modernization and enjoying the products of modernization appeared at the same time. Also, the spatial meaning according to the characteristics of interior design in the 1960s films can be presented in two ways. First, Interior design tended to appear as the mainstream of modernism, and at the time, various experiments have been made in interior design. Second, the structure of the closed walls appeared and the open structure of the interior expanded.
