Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the depigmentation effects of Barley, Unpolished rice, Job's-tear. Metbods: We investigated that the extracts of Barley, Unpolished rice, Job's-tear inhibit activity of tyrosinase, the enzyme which convert ts 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl) alanine to dopachrom in the biosynthetic process of melanin, the UV absorbance of the extracts in the UV-A region and UV-B region was measured by UV scanning, the effect of extracts on cell viability and melanin production in cultured B16 mouse melanoma cells were measured, and cytoprotective effects of extracts on PC12 cells injured by hydrogen peroxide measured by MTT assay. Results: The extracts of Barley, Unpolished rice, Job's-tear inhibited activity of tyrosinase in low density. The Barley, Job's-tear extracts not only showed inhibitory effects on melanin production in cultured B16 mouse melanoma cells, but also exhibited cytoprotective effects on PC12 cells injured by hydrogen peroxide in low density. Unpolished rice extract showed inhibitory effect on melanin production in cultured B16 mouse melanoma cells, but did not showed cytoprotective effect Barley, Unpolished rice, Job's-tear extracts did not showed an absorbance effect in the UV-A region and UV-8 region. Conclusions: These results suggest that Barley, Unpolished rice, Job's-tear inhibit melanin biosynthesis which is involved in hyperpigmentation and could be used as a whitening agent.

This thesis composes separated words in text for extracting keywords from Japanese, proposes extracting indexing keywords which consist of a compound noun using words and sentences information with the rules in the sentences. It constructs generative rules of compound nouns to be based In dependence as a result of analysing character of keywords in the text not the same way as before. To hold other extracting keywords and the content of sentence, and suggest how to decide importance concerned some restriction and repetition of words about generative rules. To verify the validity of keywords extracting, we have used titles and abstracts from Japanese thesis 65 files about natural language and/or voice processing, and obtain 63% in outputting one in the top rank. 본 논문에서 일본어 키워드 추출을 목적으로 요약문서 중에 떨어진 문자열을 합성하고, 그 문장에 나타난 규칙을 가지고 단어 정보(표기, 품사)와 구문 정보를 이용하여 복합명사고로 된 키워드 추출 방법을 제안한다. 저자 자신이 부여한 학술 논문의 키워드 중에서 문서 중에 그대로 존재하지 않는 키워드의 특징을 분석한 결과로 의존 관계에 의한 복합명사 생성 규칙을 구축한다. 또 문장의 내용과 다른 키워드의 추출을 억제하기 위해 생성규칙에 대한 제약과 중복 단어를 고려한 중요도 결정법을 제안한다. 자연ㆍ 음성언어처리에 관한 일본어 논문 65파일의 타이틀과 초록부분을 이용하여 추출된 키워드의 타당성에 대한 실험을 한 결과 추출 정밀도는 중요도의 상위 1개를 출력한 경우 63%가 되어 추출 방법의 유효성을 확인 할 수가 있었다.
Paraquat 중독환자에 대한 Hemoperfusion 의 치료효과

N/A Paraquat is a very potent herbicide which causes fatal toxicity when ingested, and there is no specific antidote against it. So it is known that most of the patients who ingested it die of pulmonary fibrosis. We used hemoperfusion(HP) for the treatment against paraquat poisoning from July 1993 till March 1994 and analysed the data using SPSS/PC ver4.0 for chi-square and t-test for mean±SD. The results were as follows: 1) A total of 36 paraquat poisoning patients(22 males and 14 females, mean age 48.8 years) visited our hospital, and i8 patients out of 36 received hemoperfusion(total 90 cycles); there were statistically significant differences in ages(41.4±15.6 year vs 56.2±15.0 year, p<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the amount of paraquat ingested(59.6±72.7ml vs 78.6±83.6ml, p=NS), gastric lavages(13/18 vs 16/18, p=NS), and use of Fuller's earth(8/18 vs 4/18, p=NS) between the patients who received HP and those who did not receive HP. 2) All the patients who did not receive HP died, but 9 patients out of 18 who received HP survived(p<0.005). There was no significant difference in ages(46.8±9.8 year vs 36.0±18.8 year, p=NS), amount of paraquat ingested(87.5±94.2 ml vs 34.8±36.4 ml, p=NS), gastric lavages(7/9 vs 6/9, p=NS), use of Fuller`s earth(5/9 vs 3/9, p=NS), and interval from the ingestion of paraquat to HP(52.449.9 hr vs 38339.7 hr, p=NS) between patients who died and those who survived, but SCr levels on arrival in expired patients were higher than those in surviving patients(5.0±3.5mg/dl vs 1.4±0.6mg/dl, p<0.05). Therefore, this suggests that hemoperfusion is very effective in the treatment of paraquat poisoning, and hemoperfusion is the most important factor in the prognosis of the patients.

This study determined the effects of added buckwheat extract on the rate of corn starch hydrolysis in vitro as well as blood glucose responses through its supplementation in healthy subjects. The rate of corn starch hydrolysis in the presence or absence of various buckwheat extracts was determined in an in vitro enzyme/dialysis system for 2 hr. The buckwheat was extracted by water, ethanol(40%, 70%, 100%) and methanol(40%, 70%, 100%), respectively. Twenty percent(w/w) additions of the ethanol, methanol and water buckwheat extract to corn starch solution significantly reduced the starch hydrolysis at every minute for 2 hr(p<0.05). The calculated hydrolysis indices of the buckwheat extracts were in the order of 100% ethanol extract(50), 100% methanol(54), 40% ethanol(58), 40% methanol(62), 70% methanol(64), 70% ethanol(68), water (82). For the blood glucose response study, groups of 12 volunteers were given 50 g of boiled rice with or without buckwheat extract(10% and 20% of starch weight) using the 100%, 70%, and 40% ethanol extracts, respectively. The addition of each buckwheat ethanol extract significantly reduced blood glucose concentrations at three or more points during 2 hr and also reduced the mean peak rise and area under the blood glucose curve(p<0.05). The calculated glycemic index(GI) values for all ethanol buckwheat extract groups were significantly decreased compared to the control(rice). At the concentrations of 20%, the buckwheat 100% ethanol extracts lowered the GI by 68%. The 100% ethanol extract was more effective than the 70% and 40% extracts for reducing GI. Therefore, the 100% ethanol buckwheat extract would be the most therapeutically useful in modifying postprandial hyperglycemia.
자동변속기가 장착된 궤도차량의 구동계 시스템 파라미터 추정

본 연구는 군용 궤도차량에 장착된 자동변속기(Automatic Transmission)의 구동계 모델링에 관한 연구이다. 변속기 관련 연구의 최종 목표는 변속 성능 향상이다. 하지만 변속 성능 향상을 위해서는 변속기를 포함한 궤도차량의 구동계 모델링이 가장 먼저 선행되어야 한다. 모델링 시뮬레이션 결과가 실험 데이터와 비슷할수록 모델링이 잘 된 것이며, 이후 변속 제어를 하는데 있어 정교한 제어를 할 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 자동변속기가 장착된 구동계 모델링에 대해 언급하고, 이 후 실험 데이터를 바탕으로 주요 시스템 파라미터를 추정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 추정하는 시스템 파라미터로는 inertia, output shaft의 stiffness, 클러치의 마찰계수가 있다. 제안된 방법을 통해 얻어진 시스템 파라미터들이 실제 실험 데이터와 일치하는지를 보기 위해, simdriveline을 이용해 만든 자동변속기 모델에서의 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 검증하였다.
