초등체육학의 학문적 정체성 탐구와 정립을 위한 과제

초등체육은 학문인가? 이 연구는 이미 학문으로 인정받은 체육학 및 교육학과 깊은 연관을 맺고 있는 초등체육이연구 영역과 실천 분야에서 놀라운 성과를 이루었으나 이러한 성과가 과연 학문적 정체성을 담보할 수 있는지 문제제기하는 동시에 학문적 정체성 정립을 위한 후속 연구 및 담론을 촉진하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 먼저 초등체육 연구의 특성을 살펴보면서 연구 대상과 연구 주체 차원에서의 특수성을 포착하였다. 그리고 체육학과 초등교육학 분야에서 진행되어 온 학문적 정체성 담론의 동향을 살펴보면서 초등체육의 학문적 정체성 또는 본질에 대한 탐색이 필요하고 중요한 시점인 것을 강조하였다. 이러한 탐색을 바탕으로 초등체육의 학문적 정체성 정립을 위한 발전 과제로 초등체육의 개념화 담론 확대, 초등체육 연구의 특성화, 전문 도서 발간, 학문 후속세대의 육성 및 지원을 제안하였다. Is the primary(=elementary) physical education a academic discipline? This study raises the question of whether primary physical education, which has a deep connection with sport science and pedagogy, which is already recognized as a discipline, has accumulated great achievements in research and practice, but at the same time raises the question of whether these achievements can guarantee academic identity. It aims to promote follow-up research and discourse for establishment. To this purpose, by examining the characteristics of primary physical education research, the specificity of the research subject and the research subject was captured. And while examining the trends in academic identity discourse that has been conducted in the fields of sport science and primary pedagogy, which are closely related to primary physical education, it was emphasized that it is necessary and important to explore the academic identity or essence. Based on this exploration, as development tasks for establishing the academic identity of primary physical education, it is proposed expanding the discourse on the conceptualization of primary physical education, characterizing primary physical education research, publishing specialized books, and fostering/supporting the next generation of academics.

스포츠교육학의 교육적 역할과 학문적 과제

스포츠교육학은 체육학의 분과 학문 분야로 인정받고 있으며, 교육 현장의 개선에도 많은 기여를 해 오고 있는 것으로 평가된다. 이제 스포츠교육학은 학교체육뿐만 아니라 생활체육과 전문체육 분야에까지 연구 영역이 급속도로 확장되고 있다. 이러한 가운데 선진 외국에서는 스포츠교육학의 연구 동향을 지속적으로 살펴봄 으로써 연구 성과에 대한 반성과 함께 새로운 연구 방향을 모색하고 있다. 최근에 우리나라에서도 스포츠교육학의 연구 동향에 대한 연구가 진행됨으로써 스포츠교육학의 학문 체계가 정교화 되고 있다. 그러나 이와 같이 학문적 성과에 대한 반성은 상대적으로 잘 이루어지고 있는 반면에 스포츠교육학이 실제 현장에서 어떠한 내용과 방법으로 적용되고 있는지에 대한 검토와 반성은 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 따라서 본 글에서는 연구자가 전공한 스포츠교육학을 교사교육 프로그램에 적용하여 실천한 사례를 통해서 스포츠교육학이라는 학문이 예비교사교육에 어떠한 내용과 방법으로 제시되어야 하는지, 그리고 이와 같은 역할이 보다 더 세밀하고 체계적으로 수행될 수 있기 위해서 요구되는 학문적 역할에 대해서 논의를 하였다. 초등 예비교사들에게는 무엇보다도 체육교육에 대한 비전을 심어주는 것이 중요했으며, 체육교육을 위한 미션을 인지하고 수행하도록 하는 것이 필요하였다. 또한 스포츠교육학을 교사교육에 적용하는 맥락에서 스포츠교육학은 종합·응용 학문으로서의 역할이 강화되어야 하고, 현장 실천 중심의 연구를 활성화하여야 하며, 특별히 바람직한초등 체육 교사상을 정립해 나가야 한다는 학문적 과제를 제안하였다. Sport pedagogy is regarded as the core sub-area of kinesiology, and is judged to be a help for improving practical physical education. Now sport pedagogy is rapidly expanding from school physical education to club sport education and elite sport education. In this context advanced countries have tried to seek the new research direction through reviewing the current research trends of sport pedagogy. Recently the researches that review the research trends have been conducted, so that the academic hierarchy of sport pedagogy can be delicate. Although the academic achievements were relatively reflected well, but the practical contributions of sport pedagogy in related areas were hardly reflected. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to discuss not only what is the educational role of sport pedagogy, but also what is the academic tasks of sport pedagogy through the researcher`s case of teaching pre-service teachers the course of physical education. It is very important to let elementary pre-service teachers have vision of teaching physical education, and make them recognize and do the mission of teaching physical education. And sport pedagogy should be the all-around and applied study, conduct the site-based research, and establish the desirable teacher character.

여자 초등예비교사가 체육 강좌에서 겪는어려움과 대처 방법에 관한 현상학적 접근

본 연구는 여자 초등예비교사들이 체육 강좌에서 어떠한 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 그 어려움에 대한 대처 방법에 관련된 경험을 현상학적으로 이해하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해서 6명의 연구 참여자들을 선정하고 주요사건기록에 기초한 심층면담을 중심으로 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 귀납적 범주 분석을 통해 주제가 정해지고, 각각의 주제 하에서 해석적인 글쓰기가 이루어졌다. 연구 결과, 여자 초등예비교사가 체육 강좌에서 겪는 어려움은 ‘발목 잡는 트라우마’, ‘배움의 의미 실종’, ‘선택의 여지가 없는 과업’, ‘불편한 동반’ 등으로 주제화되었고, 이와 같은 어려움에 대해 대처하는 방법으로는 ‘시간에 의존하기’, ‘타인의 공감 얻기’, ‘스스로 노력하기’, ‘타인의 도움 받아 문제 해결하기’ 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 여자 초등예비교사가 겪는 어려움의 발생 원인과 극복 가능성에 대해 ‘여성성``을 중심으로 논의하였다. This study aims only to investigate the difficulties that the female pre-service teachers(FPT) have experienced in the process of taking the physical education course, also to understand how they coped with those difficulties through the phenomenological approach. Thus the purpose of this study is to understand the peculiarity of the FPTs` experiences for taking physical education course although FPTs had more burden and difficulties about the physical education subject than male pre-service teachers. For this purpose, six FPTs were chosen as the participant and in-depth interview were done. All of data collected was transcribed and then analyzed by the inductive analysis. As the results, the difficulties that FPTs have experienced in the process of taking the physical education course were categorized as following themes: Trauma grabbing own ankle, Tasks cannot be chosen, uneasy accompany with others, and No meaning in studying. The coping method against these difficulties were categorized as following themes: Depending on time, Gaining others` sympathy, Trying by oneself, and Problem-solving with othe`s help. Based on these results, the causes of FPTs` difficulties and the possibilities to overcome them were discussed in the perspective of the femininity.

초등 예비교사의 스포츠 동아리 활동 경험과 교사교육 관점에서의 의미 탐색

초등학교에서 체육수업은 주로 학급 담임교사에 의해서 이루어진다. 그러나 대부분의 학급담임교사는 교사교육기간 동안에 체육수업에 관련된 강좌를 충분히 이수하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 초등교사교육의 한계를 실천적으로 극복할 수 있는 하나의 대안으로서 스포츠 동아리 활동에 주목하였다. 스포츠 동아리에 참여하고 있는 예비교사들은 어떠한 활동을 경험하고 있는지 조사하는 동시에 그러한 활동에 함의되어 있는 교사교육적인 의미를 해석하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 유목적 표집 방법에 의해서 8명의 예비교사들을 선정하고 심층 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 귀납적 분석을 통해 이루어졌고 자료의 진실성 확보를 위해서 동료간 협의, 전문가 검토가 이루어졌다. 연구 결과, 예비교사들이 스포츠 동아리에 참여하는 동기는 운동을 좋아하거나 새로운 경험을 하기 위한 것으로서 내적동기, 그리고 교직 생활에 필요하고 소속감을 느낄 수 있다는 점에서의 외적 동기로 나타났다. 스포츠 동아리를 통해 경험한 것은 ``관계 맺기``, ``운동 하기``, ``행사 치르기`` 등으로 분석되었고, 이러한 경험들은 교사교육의 관점에서 ``비공식적 교육과정(및 학습)``과 ``체험학습``으로서의 의미로 해석되었다. The purpose of this study is not only to investigate what activities the PTs experience in the sport club, but also to interpretate the educational meaning inherent in their experiences in the sport club. Participants in this study were selected from PTs attended eagerly in the sport club on the campus. Eight PTs who have been taking the role of the executives in their club participated in this study. Data were collected by participant observation and in-depth interviews. Inductive analysis and constant comparison were used to analyze the data by go through the stages of transcription, the development and application of codes for each participants. The findings are as followings: First, the factors affect the PTs to choose and become the members of the sport club among other various clubs are the recommendation of others, the favorite exercise, and the new experience. Second, the main activities in the sport club are categorized as making relationship, doing exercise, strengthening the unity, and entering sport event. Lastly, the educational meaning of these sport club activities are interpreted as an extra curricular activities, internalization of values in physical activities. Based on these results, It is very important to vitalize the sport club on the campus in that this sport club activities give the participants the chance to enrich their teaching expertise and teacher socialization. Therefore, It is necessary to give the administrative and financial help to the sport clubs, so that they attracts a lot of PTs to participate in.

체육전공 중등교원자격소지 초등교사의 교직 적응 분석

본 연구는 중등교원 양성을 위한 교육을 이수하여 중등 체육 교원 자격을 받았으나 소정의 보수 교육을 거쳐 초등교사로 임용된 교사(중초교사)들이 교직에 적응해 가는 과정을 분석하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 특히 그들의 교사 사회화 과정과 교직 입문 과정에서 겪는 갈등 및 그 해결 전략에 주목하였다. 이를 위해서 심층면담과 관련 문서 및 비참여 관찰 등을 통해 자료를 수집하고 Glaser와 Strauss(1907)가 제안한 항시비교법을 활용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 이와 같이 중초교사에 주목한 이유는 이들의 교사 사회화가 특이하다는 점에 있다. 즉, 중등교원을 지망하고 그에 따른 직전교사교육을 받았으나 결과적으로 초등교원으로서 교직에 입문하게 된 그들은 일반 정규 교육대학 출신 교사의 교직 적응 과정과 유사하면서도 뚜렷한 차이를 나타낼 것으로 판단되었기 때문이다. 본 연구의 결과, 중초교사들이 교직에 입문하여 직면하는 갈등의 핵심은 `중등 출신`과 관련되었다. 따라서 중초교사의 교직 적응 과정은 `중등 출신`을 극복해 가는, 다시 말해서 초등교사로서의 정체성을 확보해 가는 과정으로 나타났다. 중초교사들이 겪는 갈등의 영역은 초임교사의 교사 사회화 연구에서 밝혀진 것처럼 교과지도, 학교업무, 대인관계 등이었으며 그러한 갈등을 해결하고 적응하는 전략으로서 순응, 열정과 성실, 동일시 등이 발견되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 중초교사에 대해서도 현장 지원 프로그램과 현직교사교육이 면밀하게 기획되고 실천되어야 함을 시사했다. The purpose of this study was to understand the occupational adjustment of the elementary teachers with secondary school physical education teaching certification(SSPETC) during the years of their first service in the elementary school. The principles of the constant comparative method of analysis proposed by Glaser and Strauss in 1967, were used to interviews, document analysis, and non-participant observation The four teachers with SSPETC finally took up teaching as the elementary teachers and their socialization processes were more or less different from those of the ordinary elementary school teachers. The core of troubles they had encountered was that they graduated `the college of education for secondary education`. Therefore, the occupational adapting processes of the teachers with SSPETC were to solve out those troubles. Exactly it was the process for them to demonstrate the professional identity as the elementary teachers. The areas of troubles included teaching subjects, school work, and relationship with other teachers. The solving strategies which secondary-elementary teachers utilized were as followings: accepting, passion and commitment, and putting themselves on a par with ordinary novice elementary teachers. These results have the implications about teacher support program or in-service teacher education.

체육 교수 전문성의 검정을 위한 초등 임용고사의 개선 방안 탐색

본 연구는 초등교사가 일상적으로 체육수업을 실행함에 있어서 학교 실정과 학생의 수준을 고려하여 체육교과내용을 변환하는 과정, 즉 체육수업 내용을 어떻게 선정하며 선정한 내용을 재구성해 가는지를 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 초등교사 네 명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 수업관찰, 심층면담을 통해서 자료 수집을 하고 귀납적 사례 분석이 수행되었다. 자료의 분석 및 해석에 있어서 진실성 확보를 위해서 구성 원간 검토, 전문가 협의를 거쳤다. 연구 결과, 초등교사는 학생의 학습을 극대화하기 위해서 체육교과내용 변환을 시도하였고, 그 과정은 수업 내용을 선정하는 것으로부터 시작하여 다양한 조건과 요인에 따라서 다양하게 수업을 재구성하고 있음을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 특히 이와 같은 초등교사의 체육수업 내용의 재구성 과정은 자의성, 책무성, 전문성이라는 특징이 파악되었으며, 이와 관련된 요인 또는 맥락으로서 교육과정의 비활용성, 교육과정 실천자로서의 역할 인식, 교사교육 프로그램의 효과 등이 파악되었다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the curricular transformation that the elementary school teachers conventionally conduct for implementing physical education classes with considering school condition and students. For this, data were collected through the descriptive observation, in-depth interview and documentary collection from four elementary school teachers participated in this study. And data were analyzed by case record analysis and inductive categorical analysis. The trustworthiness of data was enhanced by member checks, peer briefing, and triangulation. The participant teachers tried physical education curricular transformation for maximizing student learning, and the process of transformation began from choosing content for teaching to re-organizing content according to various condition and elements. The curricular transformation was characterized as personality, accountability, and expertise.
