        In this work, a simulation study on net 500 MW class of Poly-Generation was conducted for the retrofit of an aged natural gas combined cycle. An entrained gasifier which has a capacity of maximum $260,000Nm^3/h$, 50 MW class of a Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell, and H-class Gas Turbine were selected as key processes. After unit design for those employed processes was set up and combined, the simulation was carried out with Gate-Cycle software (Ver. 6.0) for two cases. The selected cases are a retrofit type (Poly-Gen 1) and a new type (Poly-Gen 2). It was found that the efficiency of the retrofit case is 2.7% lower than that of the new case.

        비둘기 유래(由來) 대장균(大腸菌)의 생물학적(生物學的) 특성(特性)에 대하여

        The purpose of this study was to examine O serotypes, colicin and hemolysin production. antibiotic susceptibility and haemagglutinating ability to animal erythrocytes among Escherichia coli strains isolated from pigeons in Taegu province. Of the 166 strains isolated, 28 strains (16.9%) were classified into 6 O serotypes and their types were O20(42.9%), O15(17.9%), O139(14.3%), O101(10.7%), O149(7.1%) and O8(7.1%). Of the 166 strains isolated, none was hemolytic and 3(1.8%) were colicinogenic. Antibiotic susceptibility test of Escherichia coli isolates was performed by the agar dilution method, using ampicillin, chloramphnicol, gentamicin, rifampicin, streptomycin (Sm), nalidixic acid, sulfadimethoxine and tetracycline (Tc). Forty four strains (26.5%) were resistant to one or more drugs and the most common resistance patterns were SmTc (27.3%). Of the 44 drug resistant strains, 6 strains haemagglutinated erythrocytes of chicken, guinea pig and 2 of the 6 strains agglutinated goose erythrocytes.

      • 상용급 가스터빈에서 셰일가스 파일럿비 영향에 관한 수치해석적 연구

        논문에서는 상용급 가스터빈을 대상으로 해서 셰일가스를 연료로 공급할 때 유동 및 연소특성을 3-D 수치해석적 방법으로 구하였다. 이 때, Standard k-e 난류모델, 2단 메탄산화반응, Finite rate/Eddy dissipation 반응모델, DTRM 복사모델이 사용되었고, 기준조건(도시가스, PR 0.07)에서 출구 측에서 형성되는 온도는 이전 문헌 값과 비슷한 값을 보였다. 위 모델을 바탕으로 해서 연료조건으로 기존의 도시가스 외에 세 가지 셰일가스 조건(도시가스 대비 열량기준 80%, 90%, 105%)을 선정하였고, 각 연료조건에 대하여 세 가지 연료분사조건(PR=0.7, 0.9, 0.11)에 대한 해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과, 모든 셰일가스 연료공급 조건에 대하여 도시가스 대비 온도 혹은 NOx 측면에서 연소안정화를 만족하였다. 또한 모든 조건에 대해서 PR이 증가할수록 출구측 평균온도는 일정했지만 NOx량은 증가하였다. 이는 파일럿비가 증가할수록 상대적으로 확산연소가 증가했기 때문이다. In this work, the flow and combustion characteristics using a 3-D numerical simulation was evaluated for a shale gas fueled combustor in a commercial class gas turbine. The Standard k-e turbulence model, 2 step methane oxidation mechanism, Finite rate/Eddy dissipation reaction model, DTRM radiation model were employed and validated well at the baseline condition (Natural Gas, Pilot Ratio 0.2). Based on the validated models, the combustion characteristics of shale gas was evaluated for three pilot ratios cases. It was found that NOx concentrations for all shale gas cases were less than the that for city gas, which imply that, at the selected PRs, the condition for combustion stability is satisfied. In addition, for higher PR, whereas the average temperatures at the exit are the same, the NOx increases. It means that diffusion combustion portion increases due to the higher PR.

        고온수소 전환 반응기에 관한 수치해석적 연구

        In this study a numerical study was conducted to show flow, temperature and gas distributions in a high temperature CO shift reactor which was designed specially for energy saving and then evaluated with the related experiment. Mole fractions of syngas at the end of the catalyst bed were predicted with various assumed pre-exponential factors, were compared with the corresponding experimental results and $10^8$ was finally selected as the value. With the selection, a base case was examined. It was calculated that the inlet duct attached asymmetrically to the CO shift reactor affects on the distribution of the upward momentum (+z directional). In addition, CO conversion ratio is achieved up to 90% in the catalyst bed and especially it reached up to 70% at the initial part of catalyst bed.

        An object's color and intensity are determined by its spectral reflectance and illumination. Therefore, the illumination plays a key role in forming the appearance of the object in a scene. In this paper, we focus on color distinction of objects and derive the optimal illumination conditions to maximize the distance between objects in the RGB color space. As a practical approach the optimal illumination is composed by deriving the optimal linear combinations given a set of LED light sources. The effectiveness of our approach is shown through experimental results using an endoscope system.

        The purpose of this study was attempted to identify the difference health behavior, self-efficacy, and loneliness with stage of exercise, sex, partner in older adults. The research problem were as following, First, is there difference of older man and woman"s health behavior, self-efficacy and loneliness as a function of stage of exercise, sex, partner in older adults? Second, is there difference of older man and woman"s self-efficacy and loneliness as a function of stage of exercise, sex, partner in older adults? The subject of this study were 117 old people(man 73 old people, woman 44 old people) more than 60 years old who inhabits in Seoul, Incheon, and Suwon area. The tools of this study was old people"s to measure Nigg, Benisovich, Rossi, and Norman(1998)"s "Multidimensional measure of Exercise Self-Efficacy", Russell, Peplau, and Cutrono(1980)"s UCLA Loneliness Scale, and Cardinal, Engels, & Zhu (1998)"s Stage of Exercise Algorithm. The data from this study were analyzed using Crosstabulation, X2, One-way ANOVA, Results of this study were as following.

        The co-pyrolysis synergic effect of Biomass(saw dust) and Coal(medium grade) was investigated. The TG(thermo-gravimetric)/DTG(derived thermo-gravimetric) curves were measured with thermo-gravimetric analyzer(TGA). In a lab scale furnace, four kinds of blending sample consisting of Biomass and Coal were pyrolyzed in nitrogen atmosphere under non-isothermal condition of 10℃/min. A theoretical calculation was conducted and the results ware compared with experimental results to investigate the synergic effect of Biomass/Coal on pyrolysis. SEM analysis of residue char after pyrolysis was also carried out for morphologic study. It was concluded that there is little co-pyrolysis interaction between Biomass and Coal.

        Oxy-gasification or oxygen-blown gasification, enables a clean and efficient use of coal and opens a promising way to co₂ capture. The coal gasification process of a slurry feed type, entrained-flow coal gasifier was numerically predicted in this paper. The purposes of this study are to develop an evaluation technique for design and performance optimization of coal gasifiers using a numerical simulation technique, and to confirm the validity of the model. By dividing the complicated coal gasification process into several simplified stages such as slurry evaporation, coal devolatilization, mixture fraction model and two-phase reactions coupled with turbulent flow and two-phase heat transfer, a comprehensive numerical model was constructed to simulate the coal gasification process. The influence of turbulence on the gas properties was taken into account by the PDF (Probability Density Function) model. A numerical simulation with the coal gasification model is performed on the Conoco-Philips type gasifier for IGCC plant. Gas temperature distribution and product gas composition are also presented. Numerical computations were performed to assess the effect of variation in oxygen to coal ratio and steam to coal ratio on reactive flow field. The concentration of major products, CO and H2 were calculated with varying oxygen to coal ratio (0.2-1.5) and steam to coal ratio(0.3-0.7). To verify the validity of predictions, predicted values of CO and H2 concentrations at the exit of the gasifier were compared with previous work of the same geometry and operating points. Predictions showed that the CO and H2 concentration increased gradually to its maximum value with increasing oxygen-coal and hydrogen-coal ratio and decreased. When the oxygen-coal ratio was between 0.8 and 1.2, and the steam-coal ratio was between 0.4 and 0.5, high values of CO and H2 were obtained. This study also deals with the comparison of CFD (Computational Flow Dynamics) and STATNJAN results which consider the objective gasifier as chemical equilibrium to know the effect of flow on objective gasifier compared to equilibrium. This study makes objective gasifier divided into a few ranges to study the evolution of the gasification locally. By this method, we can find that there are characteristics in the each scope divided.

        정압기의 유체력 손실 저감에 대한 수치해석적 연구

        최근에 공압 제어 시스템에서 정압기를 장착하여 에너지를 절감하는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 정압기는 내부적으로 매우 복잡하기 때문에 유체력 손실에 영향을 끼친다. 따라서 정압기 설계 시, 유체역학적 접근을 통한 설계 변수의 도출은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 상용 CFD 패키지인 FLUENT를 사용하여 정압기 내에서 팁의 크기, 팁의 위치, 그리고 유량이 유체력 손실에 끼치는 영향을 살펴보았다. t/T 비가 0.8이상일 때, 유체력 손실을 증가시키지 않으면서 목표 감압을 이룰 수 있었고, 위치의 영향은 크지 않음을 알 수 있었다. The development of energy saving system with pressure regulator has recently been received interests. Since the internal geometry in the pressure regulator is small and complex, the frictional loss in it is critical. In this study, the pressure loss with tip size, tip position, and mass flow was investigated using numerical approaches(CFD). The aimed reduction in pressure were achieved as the ratio of t/T was more than 0.8. In addition, there was no effect of the tip position.
