환경제어시스템은 항공전자장비로부터의 열부하를 제거하기 위한 목적으로 설치되어지며, 본 환경제어시스템은 제어변수의 변화에 따라 다양한 운전특성을 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 냉매 R-124를 작동유체로 하는 증기압축 사이클 방식을 적용한 환경제어시스템을 설계 및 제작하였다. 냉매충전량, 팽창밸브개도, 압축기 및 송풍기 운전회전수와 같은 제어변수의 변화에 따른 환경제어시스템의 성능 및 운전 특성 변화를 실험하였다. 각 제어변수가 시스템에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 최적제어를 위한 방안을 제안하였다. An environmental control system is installed to dissipate the thermal load in avionic equipments that are mounted under an aircraft. The operating characteristics of the system change with variations in the control parameters. In this study, an environmental control system was designed and built using R-124 by adopting a vapor compression cycle. The operating characteristics of this system were observed by varying the control parameters, such as refrigerant charging amount, opening of the expansion device, compressor rotation speed, and blower rotation speed. The effect of the control parameters on the environmental control system was analyzed and an optimum control method was identified.

Environmental control system is installed to dissipate the thermal load in avionic equipments which is mounted under aircraft. In this study, the environmental control system was designed and built by adopting vapor compressor cycle using R-124. The operating characteristics of this system was experimented varying control parameters, such as refrigerant charging amount, expansion device opening, compressor rotating speed, blower rotating speed. The effect of the control parameters on the environmental control system was analyzed and the optimum control method was suggested.

Environmental control system is adopted to control the thermal load from the avionic equipment in the reconnaissance pod which is mounted under a fighter aircraft, undergoing large and rapid environmental changes with the variations of flight altitude and velocity. In this study, an environmental control system was designed and built by adopting vapor compression cycle using R-124. The cooling performance characteristics of the system were measured varying operating parameters: thermal load in the pod, air mass flow rate through evaporator, condenser inlet air temperature, and air mass flow rate through condenser. The effects of the experimental parameters on the system performance were analyzed based on the experimental results. The problems on the designed system were also analyzed and the solutions were suggested to improve system efficiency and to obtain stable operation.

항공전자기기의 정상적인 동작을 위해서는 내부에서 발생되는 열부하를 적절히 처리해야 하기 때문에 냉각시스템의 장착이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 항공용 냉각시스템으로의 대체냉매 적용 가능성을 분석하기 위하여 증기압축 사이클 방식의 밀폐 공기순환 냉각시스템을 설계·제작하였다. 대체냉매로 가장 유력한 R236fa를 냉각시스템에 적용하여 냉매 충전량, 팽창밸브 개도, 그리고 압축기 운전회전수 변화에 따른 성능특성을 실험적으로 고찰하였다. 또한, 실험결과를 기존 냉매인 R124의 실험결과와 비교·평가를 수행하여, R236fa가 대체냉매로서 적용 가능함을 확인하였다. 최종적으로 R236fa를 적용한 냉각시스템의 효율 향상을 위한 설계 개선안을 제시하였다. A cooling system is adopted to control the thermal load from the avionic equipments in an aircraft for stable operation. In this study, an avionic cooling system was designed and manufactured by adopting a vapor compression cycle with a closed-loop air-circulation system to investigate the operating characteristics of an alternative refrigerant. The performance characteristics of a cooling system adopting R236fa as an alternative refrigerant were experimentally determined by varying the refrigerant charging amount, expansion valve opening, and compressor rotation speed. The experimental results were analyzed and compared with those of a cooling system adopting R124 as a refrigerant. The possibility of the adoption of R236fa as an alternative refrigerant was verified, and design solutions were suggested to improve the system efficiency.
