        Alternaria toxins haver been found to be natural food contaminants in grains, sunflowers seeds, and some visibly decayed fruits in many countries. Their natural occurrence in cereals has been reported in different countries. Several studies have reported the relevance of the this genus in crop. However, there are no studies on the method validation of alternaria toxin in cereals in our contry. A simple and sensitive analytical method based on HPLC with PDA and mobile phases using 0.1% phosphoric acid and acetonitrile was developed for simultaneous determination of alternaria toxins. A method validation for the determination of alternaria toxins in cereals was validated. In short, the method is as follows : A test portion of a sample is extracted with a mixture of methanol/water(90/10, v/v). This raw extract is then diluted, filtered, and applied to an SPE column. After washing and elution with acetonitrile, the elute is evaporated to dryness. After toxins in the dry residue in mobile phase are injected into a high performance liquid chromatography, and detected and quantified by PDA. For alternaria toxins in the cereals, Recovery test, calibration curves (Linearity), LOD and LOQ were successfully confirmed and Reproducibility relative standard deviations(RSDR) and Repeatability relative standard deviations(RSDr) for cereals samples were below 15% for the spiked cereals at 100 ug/kg. Since all these parameters lie well within the acceptable range set forth in EU mycotoxin method validation legislation. This method is The proposal method is sensitive, repeatable and rapid enough to apply to officially routine inspection of agricultural products including cereals.

        식품 중 유해물질에 대한 소비자 교육 콘텐츠 개발 및 교육효과 조사

        식품은 인간의 건강과 생존 유지를 위해 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며, 건전하고 안전한 식품을 섭취하는 것은 인간의 삶에 무엇보다도 중요하다. 최근에는 기후변화 등 식품 안전과 관련한 주위 환경이 더욱 열악해지고 있는 실정이다. 정부차원에서도 다양한 방법으로 식품안전에 관한 소비자 교육?홍보 방법을 개발하고, 홈페이지, 리플렛 등 교육 자료를 통해 유해물질에 대한 정보를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내외 관련 정보 분석을 통해 상대적으로 인지도가 낮은 제조가공 과정 중 생성물질과 환경유래오염물질을 대상물질로 선정하였고, 이에 대한 교육 콘텐츠를 개발하였다. 이에 대해 서울시에 거주하는 여대생 120명을 대상으로 인식의 변화, 태도의 변화, 행동의 변화 등 교육효과를 확인하였다. 조사결과, 식품 중 유해물질에 대한 인식도는 교육 전에 비해 교육 후 98.8% 이상으로 증가함을 확인하였다. 건강을 해칠 수 있다는 불안감에 대해서는 교육 전 77.8%에서 교육 후에는 막연한 불안감이 52.8%로 약 25.0% 포인트 감소하였다. 정부에서 식품 중 유해물질에 대한 저감화 방안을 홍보할 때 어떤 행동을 취할 것인 지를 질문했을 때 교육 전에는 적극적으로 실천할 것이라고 응답한 경우가 12.3%, 노력한다는 응답자가 73.5%이었으나, 교육 후에는 56.1%가 적극적으로 실천할 것이라고 응답함에 따라, 좀 더 적극적으로 참여하겠다는 태도의 변화를 이끌어 냈다. 식품 중 유해물질정보를 알았을 때의 소비 행동 조사결과, 관련 정보에 대해 자세히 알아보고 결정한다는 응답자가 교육 전 49.6%에서 교육 후에는 77.4%로 27.8% 포인트 증가하였고, 관련 식품은 무조건 구매하지 않겠다고 응답한 경우는 교육 전 45.4%에서 교육 후 20.9%로 24.5% 포인트 감소하였다. 이와 같이 유해물질에 대한 설득력 있는 정보제공을 통해 막연한 불안감을 해소할 수 있을 것이며, 앞으로 소비자와의 식품안전 소통채널 확대를 위해서는 지속적으로 소비자 대상 안전정보 제공을 위한 콘텐츠 개발 및 교육?홍보를 강화해 나가야 할 것이다. Domestic and overseas information with regard to harmful substances are analyzed. From the results, environmental-derived hazard chemicals, which show relatively low recognition, and hazard chemicals that occur unavoidably in food manufacturing process are selected as target harmful substances. Thus, educational leaflet contents were developed based on these substances. To find the effects of education with the above contents, this study surveyed 120 female college students living in Seoul. The purpose of the survey is to analyze the change in recognition, attitude and behavior on hazard chemicals in foods. The survey found that the recognition on harmful substance in foods increased; from 31.5~78.0% before education to 98.8% after education. It also indicates that vague anxiety in which the harmful substances may damage their health decreased by approx. 25.0%; from 77.8% before education to 52.8% after education. For the question of what they would do when government promotes to reduce harmful substances in foods, 12.3% of respondents said that they would actively follow the suggestions and 73.5% of them said that they would do their best before an education. However, 56.1% of them said that they would actively follow the suggestions after the education. It indicates that the ability to recognize harmful substances changed after the education. With regard to consumer behavior, when they knew about the harmful substances in foods, 49.6% of them said that they would select foods after investigating relevant information before the education, while 77.4% of them said that after the education; which is an increase of 27.8%. Further, 45.4% of them said that they would not purchase relevant foods before the education, while 20.9% of them said that after the education; which is a decrease of 24.5%. Therefore, it is considered that vague anxiety of consumers can be eliminated by providing persuasive information on harmful substances. To expand on the communication channel with consumers for food safety, contents development and educational promotion should be enhanced for providing food safety related information.

        This study was carried out to survey the levels of mercury in root vegetables and assess dietary exposure / risk to the Korean population health. Various samples including Panax ginseng C.A mayer, Codonopsis lanceolata, and Platycodon granditloum were collected from markets across Korea. The concentrations of mercury were measured using automatic mercury analyzer. The analytical and sampling methods in this study were full validated. The mercury content in root vegetables was determined below 100 μg/kg (maximum residue of mercury for salt established in Korea). For risk assessment, probable daily intake was calculated and compared with PTWI (tolerable weekly intake) established by JECFA. The level of overall exposure to mercury for Korean through root vegetables was below 1% of the recommended JECFA levels, indicating of little possibility of risk. Whereas, MFDS was conducted to assess the dietary exposure to mercury from food intake, based on several reports regarding mercury published by MFDS in the 2000s. The mean and 95th percentile for exposure to dietary mercury were 4.29 and 12.48 μg/day, corresponding to 13.6% and 39.7% of PTWI, respectively.

        기능성화장품의 기능성평가에 관한 연구(I) -자위선차단화장품의 in vitro 시험법 연구

        인체실험(in vivo) 방법과의 상관성이 우수한 in vitro 자외선차단지수(SPF) 측정방법을 개발하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 표준자외선차단제인 8% homomentyl salicyate(HMS) 제제와 P3 reference standard 제제 및 기능성화장품중 자외선차단화장품을 사용하여 자외선차단지수측정기(SPF 290 analyzer)를 가지고 in vitro 자외선차단지수를 측정하고, 인체실험과의 상관계수를 구하였다. 8% HMS 제제 및 P3 Reference standard 제제의 in vitro SPF 결과는 식약청고시 2001-64호의 규정과 유사한 결과를 나타내었고, 크림 및 로오숀 제형에서는 상관계수 0.9506 및 0.9769로서 인체실험과 높은 상관성을 나타내었다. 메이크업베이스 및 리퀴드파운데이션, 사용시 흔들어 쓰는 로오숀, 압축분말은 각각 상관계수 0.8812, 0.8632, 0.5984를 나타내었으며. 압축분말의 도포를 위해서는 크림베이스와 1:0.8의 비율로 섞는 것이 가장 좋은 결과를 나타내었다 본 실험결과를 통해 사람을 이용한 자외선차단지수 측정방법을 대체할 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 이 후 자외선차단 화장품의 품질관리에 적용하고, 고시개정의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The present study was undertaken to develop the in vitro sunprotection factor(SPF) measurement method having good correlation with in vivo method. As in vitro method, 8% homomentyl salicylate, P3 reference standard and sunscreens on market were measured using SPF 290 analyzer and were compared the SPF with labed value. In vitro SPF of 8% HMS and P3 reference standard were 4.59 ± 0.12 and 14.94 ± 0.83. There are good correlation, correlation factor were 0.9506 and 0.9769 respectively, between the in vitro and in vivo SPF for the sunscreen creams and lotions examined. Correlation factors of makeup base & liquid goundation, lotion labled with “shake before use”, compact powder were 0.8812, 0.8632 and 0.5984. The best sample applied method of compact powder was 1:0.8 mixture with cream base. These results suggest that the in vitro test method could be used as an alternative method for SPF.

        식품에서 Non Dioxin-Like PCBs와 Indicator PCBs 분석

        Occurrence of non-dioxin like PCBs (62 congeners) and indicator PCBs (7 congeners) were thoroughly investigated by analyzing a total of 210 food samples collected from 5 major cities in Korea. For the validation of the test method, extraction efficiency and cleanup patterns of multi-column for various food samples have been tested. In food, the highest mean contamination level was observed in fish and fish derived products followed by eggs, milk and its products, and meat and its products. Most congeners of non dioxin-like PCBs were detected in food and T4CB and P5CB were the majors among them. In case of fish and shellfish, the indicator PCBs #138, #153 and #101, #118) were main congeners. Simple regression analysis between non-dioxin like PCBs (62 PCBs) and indicator PCBs showed strong correlation. The ratios of indicator PCBs (7 congeners) to non-dioxin like PCBs (62 PCBs) in each food groups were 29%-42% and the sum of the 7 indicator PCBs was on average close to two times higher than the sum of the non-dioxin like PCBs (62 PCBs) in animal origin food.

        의약외품중 산화에칠렌가스의 잔류량 분석

        The quasi-drugs including nonwoven fabric and gauze were sterilized using ethylene oxide (EO) gas. Residual EO in the quasi-drugs was extracted with water (20 Ml of water for 1 g of sample) for 24h at 37oC. Residual EO was determined using GC. The optimal analytical conditions were as follows : column, Carbowax 20M (1.D. 0.2 mm): mobile phase, helium with 30 mumin; oven temperature 50oC, injector temperature 180oC, detector temperature 200oC. The detection limit for EO was 0.10μg/Ml. When the residual EO extracted from nonwoven fabric and gauze was determined, it took more than 9h to get the lower level than 25 rpm which is the limit value of FDA guideline. When the EO residues, etcylene chlorohydrine (ECH) and ethylene glycol (EG) in the 7 commercially available quasi-drugs were determined, no residual EO, ECH, EG were found from the seven commercially available quasi-drugs analyzed by this method.

        화장품중 살균·보존제의 동시분리 및 정량

        A high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the simultaneous quantitative analysis of methylparaben (MP), ethylparaben (EP), propylparaben (PP), butylparaben (BP) and imidazolidinyl urea(IU) or diazolidinyl urea(DU) in cosmetics was studied by using a cyano-propyl column and 0.05M hexanesulfonic acid at 228 nm. Calibration curves were found to be linear in the 60-1000 μg/Ml range (parabens),100-1,250 μg/Ml range (IU) and the 120-2000μg/Ml range (DU). Linear regression analysis of the data demonstrates the efficacy of the method in terms of precision and accuracy. An extraction method is developed and validated in order to apply this chromatographic method to a commercial cosmetic cream. The precision of this method, calculated as the relative standard deviation (RSD) of the recoveries (0.46- 2.71%) was excellent for all compounds.

      • 의약외품중 잔류가스(EO)분석에 관한 연구

        산화에칠젠(EO) 가스로 멸균한 부직폰 거즈등 의약외품의 산화에칠렌가스 잔류량을 분석하기 위한 최적의 추출조건은 검체 1튜당-물 20n1의 비율로 37'c에서 24시간 추출한 것이었으며, 가스크로마토그 라프(GC) 분석조건은 Carl)owax 20M (t,D- 0.2mm) 칼럼을 써서 첼륨을 이동간스로 하여 유속 30mL/분, 항온조 온도 SOt, 주입구 온도 180t, 검출 온도 300'c인며, Headspace sampling 조건은 항온조 온도 70'C, 열굉형시간 20분, 주입시간 0.08분이었다. 이와같은 죠건에서 멸균후 방치시간에 따른 산화에칠렌가스 잔류량을 측정해 본 결과 부직포의 경우에는 약 9시간 이후에, 거즈의 경우에는 약 4시간이후에 FDA규제안의 혈액과 접촉하는 기군의 허용기준인 린ppm이하가 되었으며, 무균시험 결과는 적합하였다. 또한, 7종의 시판 의약외품중 산화에칠렌가스 잔류량을 븐석한 결과 산화에칠렌 가스f')검출되지 않았다. The euasi-drugs including nonwoven fabric and gauze was sterilized using ethyiene elude(EO) gas. Resldual EO in the qvasi-drugs was extracted with water (fOmL ofwater for Ig of sample) for 24hrs at 37'C. Residual EO was determined using GC. The optimalanalytical conditi㉠ns were as follows column, Carbowax 20M (1.D. 0.2mm); mobile phase,helium with 30mL/mirl, oven teirlperature 50'C , injector temperature 180'C, detector temperature200 "C. The anal!-tical (:onations o: Headspace sampler were as follows : oven temperature 70"ㄷ ,thermostat time 20ndn, injection time 0.08min. When the residual EO extracted from nonwoven fabric and gauze was determined, it tooltmore than ghrs to get the lower level than 25ppm which is the limit value of FDA guideline. And the EO residues in current 7 quasi-drugs were detenrned. It was found that residualEO are not detected in all of them.
