The purpose of this study is to show the potential and actual effectiveness of child restraint system(CRS). The difference of adult and child in the restraint theory and amended regulation of CRS(FMVSS 213) were reviewed. and a total of six types of restraint system were tested on the sled simulator to investigate what effect of CRS to the child occupant protection. The results of the head injury criteria(HIC) and chest g's were compared and discussed for six types of CRS.

In this study. to investigate occupant protection characteristics of lightweight cushion frame seat. two kinds of the production seats(steel and BMW seat) and the lightweight seat were tested on the sled simulator. The sled test results of three different seating systems were compared and discussed for their‘ occupant protection characteristics. Also. the static strength and dynamic impact tests were conducted to evaluate satisfaction of safety standards for the steel and lightweight seat.

The dynamic tests(sled tests) were conducted to evaluate occupant protection characteristics and features due to deployment of driver air bag under the different test conditions as FMVSS 208 S13(air bag depowering). The paper presents discussions for the trend of regulations and standards related to the air bag restraint system in the U.S. Especially, this paper is presented to discuss the test results due to the air bag depowering standard procedure.

In this study, to evaluate performance and characteristics of the seat belt restraint systems, three models of these system were subjected to 30mph sled tests, using Korea Standard(KS) R 4027 and ECE No.16 standard procedures. Also, the results of the occupants protection characteristics of a ELR type seat belt due to the various speed of sled test were compared.

In this study, to investigate what effect seat back strength has on occupant nect injure(response) in rear-end collisions, a total of five production driver seats were tested at 33 km/h on sled wimulator. All the factors were identical but only the seat back was set at an angle between 25and 65 degree during the rear-end collisions. Also, the results of the occupant neck responses are compared due to the rear-end sled tests at different impact velocities.<br/>
박막 형광체 ZnGa₂O₄:Mn<SUP>2+</SUP>의 RF Magnetron Sputtering법을 이용한 생장

RF magnetron sputtering법을 이용하여 quartz 기판 위에 spinel 구조의 ZnGa₂O₄:Mn<SUP>2+</SUP> 박막 형광체를 상온에서 증착 하였다. 후 열처리 온도에 따라 박막의 결정성, 표면 거칠기와 조성비가 변하였으며 이는 박막 형광체의 발광특성에 영향을 주었다. 후 열처리 온도가 500 ℃에서 900 ℃로 올라감에 따라, 후 열처리 온도가 700 ℃일 때 가장 낮은 수치의 표면 거칠기를 보였고 이로 인한 낮은 외부 양자 효율로 인하여 발광특성이 좋지 않았다. 후 열처리 온도가 800 ℃일때 결정화 정도가 좋았으며 적당한 표면 거칠기와 화학적 조성비로 인해 최적의 발광특성을 보였다. 반면 후 열처리 온도가 900 ℃일 때 결정성은 가장 좋았으나 Zn의 높은 증기압으로 인한 화학적 조성비의 깨짐으로 발광특성이 좋지 못하였다. Thin-film ZnGa₂O₄:Mn<SUP>2+</SUP> phosphors of spinel structure were grown on quartz substrate by RF magnetron sputtering method at room temperature. As an increase of post-annealing temperatures, crystallinity, surface roughness and stoichiometry of thin films were varied. At the post-annealing temperatures of 500 ℃ and 600 ℃, the luminescence intensity was poor due to the poor crystallinity. The smallest surface roughness was observed at the sample post-annealed at 700 ℃ leading to low external extraction efficiency, and poor luminescence intensity. The highest luminescence intensity was shown at the sample post-annealed at 800 ℃. It was because both the surface roughness and crystallnity were optimized. On the other hand, at 900 ℃, the luminescence intensity was poor due to the violation of stoichiometry.
