Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate functional disability for the elderly in rural Korea and to identify influencing factors of functional disability. Methods : The data were collected for 76 community-dwelling elderly in rural area and above 65 years. We assessed cognitive function, functional disability, depression using LACLS, WHODAS 2.0, SGDS-K. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics for general characteristics of subjects, Spearman’s correlation among LACLS, SGDS-K, WHODAS 2.0, age, educational levels. And multiple regression was used to find influencing factors of functional disability. Results : As a result of this study, we identified that WHODAS 2.0 total score was 50.59, summary score was 9.94 and functional disability of the elderly in rural area is in the 70th percentile. The highest level of disability occurred in areas related to ‘life activities (household)’, ‘participation in society’ and the lowest level of disability occured in areas of ‘self-care’, ‘getting along with people’. Functional disability was significantly correlated with age (r=.398), cognitive function (r=-.547), depression (r=-.563) but not educational levels (r=-.215). Finally, we confirmed that depression (β=.371), cognitive function (β=-.263), widowed status (β=.303), age (β=.272), non-participation of community program (β=.165) was significantly influencing factors of functional disability and the explanatory power of these factors was 52.80 %. Conclusion : This study revealed important factors of functional disability. Therefore, we need to consider these factors when we developed program related to health for the elderly (aged > 65 years) in rural Korea. Further, we need to standardize WHODAS 2.0 in order to enhance its applicability in clinical practices.

This is a research about the energy requirements of building to reduce the green-house gases, and investigates the technique for cutting down the use of power of the cooling and heating circulating water pump in order to analyze the economics at each method. It set up the building for the research about control systems of saving energy which are operating number control and variable speed control, and figured out conformance. The result of research, the operating number control is caused unsuitable situation depending on conditions, however, the variable speed control which uses inverter is able to be applied no matter what conditions it has. So, the variable speed control was evaluated the economic feasibility, as the power usage was converted by electric fee for quantitative estimates about the amount of reduction of the variable speed control. Therefore the research can draw a conclusion that the operating control system might save the electricity over 20% by using the variable speed control system, when it puts on difficult position.

This study is purposed to investigate relationship of the generativity, health perception of middle-aged women and successful aging recognition empirically. To do this, 243 effective sample data was selected using purposeful sampling of sport for all participants who live in Gwangju. Exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach"s α, correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis in SPSS 23.0 FOR Windows statistical package was used. The results of this study are follows. 1) the generativity of work and leisure positively influenced the health interest/concern, future health of the health perception. In addition, the realistic optimism of the generativity affects the health interest/concern and future health positively. 2) the middle-aged identity of the generativity affects the social support and the goal-oriented life of successful aging recognition positively. Also, the realistic optimism of the generativity affects the goal-oriented life positively. Furthermore, the freedom of the relationship of the generativity affects the peace of successful daily aging awareness positively. 3) the future health of the health perception affects social support, goal-oriented life, and daily peace positively. In summary, the findings in this study confirm that It has been shown that middle-aged women"s participation in the sports affects Generativity, Health perception, and Successful aging recognition.
