To secure the comfortable indoor environment is getting really important and installation of ventilating system became mandatory polity for effective indoor ventilation recently. However, the installation of ventilating system causes problems such as excessive consumption of energy and increase of indoor discomfort after irrelevant control of it. Accordingly, in this research, a study of the hybrid ventilating method which can overcome unreliability of natural ventilation and satisfy the amount of necessary ventilation with energy conservation was carried out. The hybrid ventilating method that was applied to model for evaluation is Fan assisted Natural Ventilation, so the choice that natural ventilation was applied during mid-term and mechanical ventilation was applied during heating/cooling season was made. To evaluate if hybrid ventilating method can be applied, CFDsimulation was carried. To evaluate IAQ and energy performance, operating condition of hybrid ventilating method was set up considering of enthalpy, and it was made to secure the 0.7ACH of ventilation anytime. Accordingly, TRNSYSsimulation was tried, and it showed that comfortable IAQ by natural ventilation can be maintained during 50.4 % period. Consequently, to apply the hybrid ventilation method which uses both natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation would be a lot better than to apply the ventilating method of electric heat exchange for indoor thermal comfort and energy conservation.

The use of glass applied to curved surface as a building material has increased in recent years. However, the curved glass is difficult to guarantee the quality in process of making it into double glazing, So it is vulnerable to thermal breakage. In this paper, when the glass broken during experiments, surface temperature difference on curved double glazing was compared to that of heat strengthened glass and flat glass. As a result, flat single glass was broken at temperature difference of 100 ~ 140 degrees but curved double glazing was broken at that of 40 ~ 60 degrees. Therefore, curved double glazing is more vulnerable than flat double glazing to thermal breakage, so it should be considered when applied to building facade.

The Window facing outside directly effects on the energy performance of buildings. The performance of the existing triple glass had been limited to energy savings and condensation prevention. In this study, the performance of preventing condensation of the vacuum multi-layer glass was analyzed. The final conclusion through mock-up experiments is as follows. The surface temperature of the vacuum multi-layer glass has risen 2 degrees. The temperature different ratio also was 0.07 lower than triple glass's.

Global warming problem has been issued as a universal problem. Recently, high-density highrised apartment has caused the problem of decrease in ventilation rates and increase of indoor pollutant contaminants. The purpose of this research is to reduce mesoscale impacts of cities' climate and also to find the method which can reduce the heat island effect by considering of microclimate. Since it is difficult to analyze the external environment considering the interaction among various physical factors such as wind, the sun, and the green design, we introduce CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) to analyze outdoor thermal environment in apartment complex according to the layouts of tower-shape and exterior cladding. Through the analysis of each apartment housing case we classified, therefore, we find thermal environmental factors effect on outdoor thermal environment in apartment housing and analyze some factors and concepts which enable us to estimate the heat island effect.

An external window directly affects the energy performance of its building. In modern well-insulated buildings, U-values for walls of 0.36 W/㎡K or even lower can be realized. In such buildings, glazing with typical U-value of 2.1 W/㎡K or higher creates thermal weak spots on the facade. The performance of the existing triple glass window has been limited to energy savings and condensation prevention. In this study, the performance of condensation prevention of a vacuum multi-layer glass was analyzed. The final conclusion through mock-up experiments is as follows. The surface temperature of the vacuum multi-layer glass was 2℃ higher, and the temperature difference ratio (TDR) was 0.07 lower, than the corresponding values of the triple glass.

Recently, large-scale integrated underground parking lots have been constructed in accordance with the demands such as enlargement of the green area on the ground floor, expansion of convenience facilities, security of pedestrian safety. The depth of the underground layer is greatly influenced by the underground temperature. In summer, underground temperature is much lower than outdoor temperature, and underground floors that are greatly affected by underground temperature are vulnerable to condensation. Since the underground parking lot is a structure in which the entrance of the vehicle is open at all times, the outside air can easily flow into the underground parking lot, so that when the hot and humid ambient air enters into the underground parking lot in summer, the surface condensation easily occurs. Also, in the case of the underground space, the amount of surface evaporation is not enough due to the air flow is insufficient. This study investigated various ways of reducing condensation in underground space.

High-rise and high density in building has recently caused the problem of Urban Heat Island. For that reason, Bioclimatology is recently becoming more important as it is known that urban climate impacts human activity largely. The purpose of this study is to analyze the external environment considering in apartment space. The green tree and water space arrangement reduces the heat island effect, besides climate comfort zone. This study focused on measuring and analyzing outdoor air temperature, humidity, wind velocity in apartment complex according to the space features. Finally The temperature reduction effects were similar to green space and water space.

This study aims to reduce cooling energy by grasping kinds of heating load in building in order to decrease cooling energy in summer and eliminate efficiently heating load. Lighting heating value was confirmed through examination and experiment concerning lighting heating and reducible exhaustion value was extracted lighting apparatus. The optimal exhaust system by air conditioning type was suggested for applying lighting heat exhaust system and the method contributing to promotion supplying low energy architecture was suggested by predicting reduced cooling load.
