        합곡(合谷), 족삼리(足三里) 단독 침자와 합곡(合谷)에 족삼리(足三里)를 배혈한 침자가 하치부 동통 억제에 미치는 영향

        The pain was induced on upper and lower incisor of the rat based on the theory of `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian and lower incisor pain with large intestine meridian`. Such acupoints as LI4 and ST36 were used for alleviation of upper and lower incisor pain. The digastric myogram (dEMG) was utilized for the pain measurement. The upper incisor pain was gradually decreased during ST36 stimulation and significant differences were observed at 20 minutes point during 60 minutes study. The upper incisor pain was gradually decreased during LI4 acupuncture and 20 minutes point was the only point that showed a significant difference. The alleviation of lower incisor pain was not obvious during the ST36 acupuncture. The lower incisor pain was gradually decreased during LI4 stimulation with significant differences at 20 and 40 minutes point. In conclusion, the upper incisor pain was relieved with LI4 and ST36 acupuncture while LI4 was effective on the lower incisor pain alleviation based on the theory of `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian and lower incisor pain with large intestine meridian`.

        신문(神門), 태백혈(太白穴)에 시행된 직자법(直刺法), 수기사법(手技瀉法)및 침습형 레이저 시술이 고혈압 백서에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the effect of invasive Laser acupuncture therapy with green Light (LAT-G) at HT7(Sinmun), SP3(Taebaek) on the blood pressure in hypertensive rat induced by two kidney one clip. Methods: The experiments were performed on Sprague Dawley rats. 2K1C hypertension model was prepared by constricting the Left renal artery with a sliver clip. Animals were divided into four groups, which were simple acupuncture treatment group with straight needle insertion on the square(AT-SS), acupuncture treatment group with reducing manipulation in the opposite channel direction(AT-RD), Laser acupuncture treatment group with green Light 532 nm, 10mW power in the opposite channel direction(LAT-G10) and Laser acupuncture treatment group with green Light 532 nm, 20mW power in the opposite channel direction(LAT-G20). The treatments were performed once per two days for 10 days. Results: Body weight was increased significantly in LAT-G20 group compared with AT-RD group. The blood pressure was significantly decreased in LAT-G20 and LAT-G10 groups compared with AT-SS group. Conclusions: These results suggest that green Laser acupuncture therapy at SP3·HT7 is more effective than straight needle insertion on the square for controlling hypertension. It is possible that invasive green Laser acupuncture therapy (532 nm) can be used as a reducing method of the traditional acupuncture techniques.

        합곡(合谷) 복유(復溜) 보사(補瀉) 시술(施術)이 소한(小汗)에 미치는 영향(影響)(2)

        Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of tonifying or sedative manipulation on LI4 and KI7 for sweet deficiency under cold environment. Methods: The participants were divided into 4 groups; intact group without acupuncture(Intact), acupuncture group inserting straightly with LI4 & KI7 method((LI4-straight·KI7-straight), acupuncture group inserting·twisting with LI4 tonificaton & KI7 tonificaton method(LI4-tonify·KI7-tonify) and acupuncture group inserting·twisting with LI4 sedation & KI7 sedation method(LI4-purge·KI7-purge). We obtained the baseline data under cold condition with the temperature 14±1℃. After making the participant staying under cold condition for 10 minute, we measured sweating rate on skin surface and biological responses such as body temperature, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, deoxy-Hb and oxy-Hb in subcutaneous. Results: The sweating rate on skin surface was not different in all treatment groups compared to the intact group. The body temperature was significantly increased in LI4-straight·KI7-straight group compared to the intact group. The oxygen saturation significantly increased in LI4-purge·KI7-purge group compared to the intact group. The systolic blood pressure was significantly increased in LI4-purge·KI7-purge group compared to the intact group. The deoxy-Hb was significantly decreased in LI4-purge·KI7-purge group compared to the intact group. Conclusions: The above results, the effect of LI4, KI7 acupuncture due to the tonifying or sedative manipulation on sweating control could be observed. However, other biological responses with the acupuncture of tonifying or sedative manipulation were giving different expressions. We suggest that continued research of tonifying or sedative manipulation is of importance order to find these expressions.

        배에서 추출된 Pectin과 Phenolic compound가 흰쥐의 국소뇌혈류 및 심혈관계에 미치는 영향

        N/A Objectives : Oriental pear was used as treating disorder of heart and blood circulation in oriental medicine. This study was designed to investigate that pear pectin, pear phenolic compound effects on cardiovascular system as regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF), mean arterial blood pressure(MAP), heart rate, cardiac contractile force. Methods : The experiments were performed on Sprague Dawley rats. 2K1C hypertension model was prepared by constricting the left renal artery with a sliver clip. Apple pectin, pear pectin and pear phenolic compound solutions were administrated via femoral vein for Sweeks, a day`s interval. Animals were divided into four groups, administration of apple pectin(AP1, pear pectin(PP) and pear phenolic compound( PPC ). Results : The results are that KBF was significantly increased at lmglkg in PPC group. The MAP was significantly decreased at l0㎍/kg in apple pectin, at l0㎍/kg, 100㎍/kg in pear pecitn than before adminstration, but increased at 1 m p d k g in pear phenolic compound. There was no significant effects in heart rate. Cardiac contractile force was significantly increased a at l0㎍/kg, l00㎍/kg, lmg/kg in pear phenolic compound. Conclusions : These results suggests that pear phenolic compound and pear pectin may be a significant effect in symptoms of heart and blood circulation..

        경옥고의 원방과 가미방 익수영진고가(加)꽃송이버섯이 항산화, 면역력 활성 및 기호도에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: This study was conducted with objectives of comparatively investigating effects of original Kyungokgo and Iksuyongjingo plus Sparassis crispa which is gamibang of Kyungokgo on antioxidant improvement, immunity improvement, and sensory evaluation. Methods : Total phenol and DPPH scavenging activity were measured to determine antioxidant improvement of original Kyungokgo and Iksuyongjingo plus Sparassis crispa . While, blood and serum study were conducted and effect on the cytokines were observed from the immunosuppressed rat induced by methotrexate (MTX). Control group was administered with a drinking water, Kyungokgo group was administered with a original Kyungokgo 200 mg/kg, and Iksuyongjingo plus Sparassis crispa group was administered with a Iksuyongjingo plus Sparassis crispa 200 mg/kg for 20 days. Further, intensity and preference evaluation were performed as sensory evaluation. Results : It was observed that Iksuyongjingo plus Sparassis crispa significantly increased total phenol and DPPH scavenging activity, proving that these can improve antioxidant activities. In the immunosuppressed rat, Iksuyongjingo plus Sparassis crispa significantly decreased IL-2 level, significantly increased Il-10 level, and significantly increased neutrophils, RBC, HGB, and HCT levels, indicating that it is effective in increasing immunity. Further, Iksuyongjingo plus Sparassis crispa significantly improved intensity and preference in the sensory evaluation. Conclusions : From the above results, it is concluded that Iksuyongjingo plus Sparassis crispa which is gamibang of Kyungokgo can act effectively on improving antioxidant activity and immunity, and can attribute convenient intake by improving diet preference.

        기혈관절방(氣血關節方)A(CWS-A)가 CFA로 유발(誘發)된 관절염(關節炎)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objective: To investigate effects of herbal preparations formulated(Gihyeolgwanjeolbang-A, CWS-A) on complete Freund`s adjuvant (CFA)-induced arthritis in rats. Method: Arthritis was induced by injecting CFA subcutaneously into the left knee joint and paw, and the herbal preparations formulated(CWS-AⅠ, 82.3 mg/kg;CWS-AⅡ, 164.6 mg/kg) was administered orally (i.g.) for 10 consecutive days beginning on day 10 after the injection. External shape, paw edema, inflammatory cytokines tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1beta), and histological observation were assessed. Result: In swelling of the paw, CWS-AⅠ and CWS-AⅡ group in 15 days and 20 days were significantly reduced compared to controls. In serum ALT, CWS-AⅠ and CWS-AⅡ group were significantly reduced compared to controls. In TNF-α, CWS-AⅠ and CWS-AⅡ group were a tendency reduced compared to controls. In HGB, HCT, MCHC of erythrocytes, CWS-AⅡ group was increased compared to controls. In histological observations, CWS-AⅡ group was observed synoviocytes more than control group and was observed proteoglycans in the deep layers. Conclusion: The data suggest that CWS-A significant anti-arthritic effects that may be mediated by suppressing inflammatory parameters.

        배 추출 펙틴이 2K1C 고혈압 흰쥐의 혈압, 혈장 Renin, ANP 및 Cardiac Hypertrophy에 미치는 영향

        배에서 추출된 pectin과 사과에서 추출된 pectin의 3주간 투여가 2K1C 고혈압 흰쥐의 일간 혈압 변화, 혈장 renin, ANP 변화 및 cardiac hypertrophy 변화를 관찰한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 일간 혈압변화에서 대조군에 비하여 APA군의 15일째에 유의한 감소를 보였고, 19일째에 한계적으로 유의한 감소를 나타내었으며, AP-B군의 8일째와 15일째에 유의한 감소를 나타내었으며, AP-C군의 15일째에 한계적으로 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. 또한 대조군에 비하여 PPA군은 모든 기간 동안 유의성을 나타내지 않았으며, PP-B군의 8일째와 15일째에 유의한 감소를 나타내었으며, PP-C군의 15일째에 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. 혈장 renin 변화에 있어서 대조군에 비하여 apple pectin이 투여된 군에서는 모두 유의한 변화가 없었으며, pear pectin이 투여된 PP-B군에서 한계적으로 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. 혈장 ANP 변화에 있어서 대조군에 비하여 apple pectin이 투여된 군에서는 모두 유의한 변화가 없었으며, pear pectin이 투여된 PP-B군에서 유의한 증가를 나타내었다. Cardiac hypertrophy 변화에 있어서 대조군에 비하여 apple pectin이 투여된 군에서는 모두 유의한 변화가 없었으며, pear pectin이 투여된 PP-C군에서 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. Oriental pear was used as treatment of asthma, control of blood pressure tonic medicine vasoactio, diabetes in oriental medicine. In this study, it was investigated that pear pectin effects on cardiovascular system as blood pressure and renin and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) in plasma, cardiac hypertrophy. The experiments were performed on Sprague-Dawley rats, 2K1C hypertension model was prepared by constricting the left renal artery with a sliver clip. Animals were then divided into four groups, 5 ㎎/㎏, 10 ㎎/㎏, 15 ㎎/㎏ and the control, pear pectin and apple pectin solutions were supplied with them. The blood pressure was more decreased in pear pectin 10 ㎎/㎏ than in apple pectin. The plasma ANP was decreased in pear pectin 10 ㎎/㎏, and renin was increased in same concentration of drug. Cardiac hypertrophy had a tendency to decrease in pear pectin 15 ㎎/㎏, but was not statistically significant compared to control group.

        염전보사(捻轉補瀉)를 시행(施行)한 육음경승격혈위침자(六陰經勝格穴位鍼刺)가 고지방식이(高脂肪食餌) 비만백서(肥滿白鼠)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives: This research was performed to investigate the effect of five element constitutional acupuncture(Sa-am acupuncture) therapy at acupoints on the Yin meridians on obese rats(Sprague Dawley strain, male) induced by high fat diet. Methods: The control and acupuncture groups were provided with high fat diet, and the acupuncture groups were treated with five element constitutional acupuncture(Sa-am acupuncture) every other day for five weeks. We observed the body weight gain, food intake, triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, AST, and ALT. Result: The acupuncture group treated with five element acupuncture on the meridians of spleen, heart, pericardium showed significant decrease of body weight, the groups treated on the meridians of Lung, heart, pericardium showed signigicant decrease of food intake. Concentration of HDL-cholesterol was significantly increased in the groups treated on the meridians of spleen, heart, pericardium, Liver. Conclusion: Reviewing these experimental results, it appears that the five element constitutional acupuncture(Sa-am acupuncture) therapy at acupoints on the meridians of spleen, heart and pericardium have an efficacy on obesity induced by high fat diet.

        곤륜(崑崙),소부(少府) 침자(鍼刺)가 하장간막신경(下腸間膜神經) 활성(活性)과 혈압(血壓) 및 심박수(心搏數)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives: The aim of the present study is to observe effects of acupuncture related with the nerve system, Inferior mesenteric nerve activity(IMNA) was examined on BL60 acupuncture closely connected with the bladder and HT8 with little tied. Materials and methods: Acupunctures were performed during 100 seconds after stabilization. IMNA was measured by micromanipulator, preamplifier, mean arterial pressure(MAP) and heart rate were observed by blood pressure transducer, 4-channel transducer amplifier in anesthetized rat. Results: On BL60 acupuncture, the heart rate was not significantly decreased but IMNA, MAP were significantly decreased and Maximum peak of IMNA was increased during inserted acupuncture, decreased after ejected acupuncture respectively. On HT8 acupuncture, IMNA was decreased during acupuncture than before acupuncture but the others did not showed signigicant difference. Conclusions: Our results demonstrated a meridian interaction between BL60 acupoint in the bladder channel and Inferior mesenteric sympathetic nerve related to the bladder. This fact suggest that BL60 acupuncture have effect on the bladder through the nerve system. Meanwhile, IMNA was decreased during HT8 acupuncture. This result is supposed HT8 to have not meridian function but acupoint function by another mechanism. It needs to be closely examined other meridians and nerve by the optimal approaching method.

We knew this thing which the ST36+LI4 acupuncture decreased the dEMG most greatly and kept long compared to ST36 acupuncture, LI4 acupuncture. Conclusions: Acupuncture treatment at the loci of not only ST36 acupuncture but LI4 acupuncture were relieved the upper incisor pain. It was well suitable to the theory `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian` that ST36 acupuncture decreased the upper incisor pain. But there was not to decrease the dEMG for the ST36 acupuncture. We are considered as tracing study continuously about ST36 acupuncture. It was not suitable to the theory `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian` that LI4 acupuncture decreased the upper incisor pain. These results was considered as the function by the characteristic of the LI4 acupoint.
