        Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry를 이용한 팔강약침액 성분에 대한 연구

        Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the composition for pharmacopunctures of eight principles hydrodistillation layer. Methods: The study was determined the hydrodistillation layer for pharmacopunctures of eight principles by hydrodistillation method. The effective components in hydrodistillation layer for pharmacopunctures of eight principles were extracted with ethyl ether or dichloromethane, and then analyzed by Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry(GC/MS). Results: 1. Analyzed pharmacopunctures of eight principles by GC/MS, a lot of differences according to extraction solvent by each pharmacopunctures of eight principles and specific peak patterns were seen. 2. The main compound in pharmacopunctures of eight principles was a kind of hexaoxacyclohydrocarbon that has long hydrocarbon chain.

      • Tips from Expert-3 (TE-3) : Excimer therapy for scalp psoriasis

        Scalp psoriasis is a common skin disorder that makes raised, reddish, often scaly patches. It can pop up as a single patch or several, and can even affect your entire scalp. It can also spread to your forehead, the back of your neck, or behind your ears. Scalp psoriasis can be mild and almost unnoticeable. But it can also be severe, last a long time, and cause thick, crusted sores. Intense itching can affect your sleep and everyday life, and scratching a lot can lead to skin infections and hair loss. The first line of defense is treatment you use directly on your skin: medicated shampoos, creams, gels, oils, ointments, and soaps. All of these treatments work well, but medications can have side effects and light therapy requires a regimen of three sessions a week for two to three months. Today, there is another option for treating psoriasis: excimer lasers, which deliver ultraviolet light to localized areas of the skin. This treatment uses intense, focused doses of laser light to help control areas of mild to moderate psoriasis without harming healthy skin around them. Targeted laser therapy is similar in effectiveness to traditional light therapy, but it works in fewer sessions with stronger doses of light that can reach deeper into the affected skin. The handheld laser wands are also good for reaching psoriasis in hard-to-treat areas, such as the elbows, knees, palms of the hands, soles of the feet, and scalp. Excimer laser treatments are performed in the dermatologist``s office. Each session takes only a few minutes. During the treatment, the doctor aims the laser directly at patches of psoriasis. Excimer lasers aim a high intensity ultraviolet B (UVB) light dose of a very specific wavelength -- 308 nanometers -- directly at the psoriasis plaques. Excimer lasers are used to treat mild-to-moderate psoriasis. With excimer laser therapy, patients usually have two treatments lasting 5-10 minutes each week for three or more weeks, with at least a 48-hour break between treatments. If you have moderate to severe scalp psoriasis, doctor may prescribe a drug you take by mouth or one that``s injected or pumped through a needle into a vein. Oral medications include Corticosteroids, Cyclosporine, Methotrexate, vitamin A derivative. The latest class of FDA-approved medications are called biologics. These drugs, which you get by injection or IV, may keep your skin from making too many cell. There is no cure, but many treatments can help symptoms, control flare-ups, and prevent it from coming back. People who follow their treatment plan rarely have to endure severe scalp psoriasis for long.

        GC/MS-SIM을 이용한 우리나라 수중 생물시료 중 알킬페놀, 클로로페놀과 비스페놀 A의 분석을 위한 냉동필터법의 응용

        우리나라 수중 생물시료에 있는 알킬페놀류, 클로로페놀류 및 비스페놀 A의 정량분석을 위한 새로운 기술을 제시하였다. 우리나라 수중 생물시료에 있는 알킬페놀류, 클로로페놀류 및 비스페놀 A를 아세토니트릴로 추출한 다음 아세토니트릴 층을 2 시간동안 -60℃에 냉동하였다(냉동필터). 또한, XAD-4를 이용한 고체상 추출 후, isobutoxycarbonyl(isoBOC) 또는 tert-butyldimethylsilyl(TBDMS) 유도체화 한 후 가스크로마토그래피/질량분석기-선택이온 모니터링 방법을 사용하였다. isoBOC 유도체화와 TBDMS 유도체화의 회수율은 70.1∼150.6%와 93.8∼108.3%이였으며, 선태이온 모니터링 방법을 이용한 비스페놀 A의 분석방법 검출한계는(MDLs) 각각 0.062 μg/kg 및 0.010 μg/kg이었다. 이 방법을 우리나라 수중 생물시료에 적용하였을 때, 11가지 페놀성 내분비계장애물질의 농도는 0.675∼1.970 μg/kg이었다. A new technique was proposed for the determination of alkylphenols, chlorophenols and bisphenol A in korean aquatic biological samples. The alkylphenols, chlorophenols and bisphenol A in korean aquatic biological samples were extracted with acetonitrile and then acetonitrile layer was refrigerated at -60℃ for 2 hours(freezing filtration method). Also, solid-phase extraction(SPE) was used to XAD-4 and subsequent conversion to isobutoxycarbonyl(isoBOC) or tert-butyldimethylsilyl(TBDMS) derivatives for sensitive analysis with gas chromatography/mass spectrometry-selected ion monitoring(GC/MS-SIM) mode. For isoBOC derivatization and TBDMS derivatization the recoveries were 70.1∼150.6% and 93.8∼108.3%, the method detection limit(MDLs) of bisphenol A for SIM were 0.062 μg/kg and 0.010 μg/kg, and the SIM respectively. When these methods were applied to korean aquatic biological samples, the concentrations of the 11 phenolic EDCs were 0.675∼1.970 μg/kg.

      • Facial recontouring through botulinum toxin A

        Botulinum toxin causes muscular paralysis disturbing secretion of acetylcholine at neuro-muscular junction. In the early 1970s, Scott sought a biologic toxin that would be useful in paralyzing muscular action around the eyes. On April 15, 2002, the FDA granted Allergan, approval to Botox Cosmetic for the temporary improvement in the glabellar lines. Botulinum toxin is used primarily in dermatology for treatment of the dynamic expression lines of the upper third of the face. The indication has expanded to treat hyperhidrosis of hands, feet and arm pits. In Korea, common indications are the reduction of masseteric muscle, calf muscle, and trapezius muscle hypertrophy by the principle that “The less use for muscle, the smaller muscle”. Botulinum toxin has been based on muscular injection after early stage of development. Intradermal injection with small amount has been used after 2005, which is called dermotoxin or meso-botox. Intradermal injection is more natural than original muscular injection in terms of wrinkle and also leads improvement of skin texture, skin tightening, and skin lifting. Intradermal injection has been neglected by doctors due to lack of academic proof and has not been standardized as there are a lot of ways for treatment. I inject Botulinum toxin in a layer of fat not in muscle by shrinking facial muscle slowly without impacting its function and also inject botulinum toxin intradermally for the improvement of wrinkle, skin lifting. I would like to introduce facial contouring, new cosmetic indication using Botulinum toxin and present the results and the ways of the treatment through this article.

        생체시료로부터 미량 크로바잠의 고상추출을 위한 최적화

        The sorption and desorption properties of four adsorbents were evaluated for the trace enrichment of clobazam from biological samples. Graphitized carbon black(GCB) gaved the highest dynamic adsorption coefficient. Among the six organic solvents examined, acetone gave the highest desorption coefficient for the clobazam adsorbed on GCB. Using the GCB column, the optimum elution volume of the eluting solvent was evaluated from the on-line monitored breakthrough curve for clobazam. When GCB as the solid adsorbent and acetone as the eluting solvent were used for the solidphase extraction of clobazam from serum, the recoveries were higher than 83% with good reproducibility in the concentration range of 20-50 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml.

      • 환경시료로부터 미량 페놀류의 분석을 위한 isoButoxycarbonyl 유도체화 분석방법 적용 및 최적화

        Eleven phenols including two chlorophenols, eight alkylphenols and bisphenol A were derivatized with isobutylchlomformate to form their isobutoxycarbonyl derivatives. Standard phenol mixture was concentrated for the isebutoxycarbonyl (isoBOC) derivatization and analysed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The recoveries of the derivatization method of alkylphenols, chlorophenols, and bisphenol A were calculated by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry -selected ion monitoring mode using two work-up methods for comparison; shaking and heating method. The linear detector responses were obtained in the concentration range of 5 -400 ng, with correlation coefficients varying from 0.9755-0,9981. Recoveries of the alkylphenols, chlorophenols, and bisphenol A were determined by gas chromatography /mass spectrometry -selected ion monitoring mode using two work-up methods for comparison; the US-EPA method and the isoBOC derivatization method. Eleven phenols in water samples were extracted with dichloromethane and then concentrated. Also, solid-phase extraction (SPE) with XAD-4 and subsequent conversion to isobutoxymbony derivatives for sensitive analysis with the selected ion-monitoring (SIM) mode. The recoveries were 85.1~109.9% and 90.3~126.6% for the US-EPA method and the isoBOC derivatization method, respectively. The method detection limits of bisphenol A for SIM were 0.732 ㎍/ℓ and 0.002 ㎍/ℓ for the two methods above, respectively.

        기체 크로마토그래피/질량분석기를 이용한 종이류 중 알킬페놀류, 클로로페놀류 및 비스페놀 A 정량

        The alkylphenols, chlorophenols and bisphenot A were determined by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry-selected ion monitoring (GC/MS-SIM) mode followed by two work-up methods for comparison, isoBOC derivalization method and TBDMS derivatization method. Eleven phenols in paper samples were extracted with acetonitrile. Also, solid-phase extraction (SPE) with XAD-4 and subsequent conversion to isobutoxycarbonyl derivatives or tert. -butyldimethylsilyl derivatives for sensitive analysis with the selected ion-monitoring (SIM) mode. The SIM responses were linear with the correlation coefficient varying 0.9717~0.9995 (isoBOC derivatization), and 0.9842--0.9980 (TBI)MS derivatization). The recoveries were 82.4~108.8% by area ratio of phenanthrene-d_10 vs bisphenol A-d_16. (isoBOC derivatization and TBDMS derivatization) The range of concentrations was respectively, 0.95~1.44 ng/g in 2, 4-dichlorophenol, 1.01~1.17 ng/g in t-butylphenol, 2.17~5.84 ng/g in pentachlorophenol, 12.68~14.88 ng/g in nonylphenol and 30.84~153.72ng/g in bisphenol A.
