Many advanced countries including the U.S. consider defense standardization as a critical task for the efficient acquisition and effective operation of weapon systems and have implemented the appropriate standardization policy by synchronizing the defense acquisition strategies and nation standardization policy with defense standardization. It is required to develop the long-term defense standardization policy that can cope with the future domestic and international defense environmental changes. Therefore, it is an inevitable task to investigate the standardization trends and strategy in the domestic and international perspectives. The study aims to provide the vision of defense standardization policy, act/regulation, organization/personnel, education/training and information system.

The objective of this study is to investigate the inhibitor effects of an traditional oriental herb, Sophora flavescens on the pancreatic & cardiac side effects of chemotherapy were studied by using Bl6-BL6 melanoma-injected C57BL6 mouse tumor model. In this study, the effects of an traditional oriental herb, Sophora flavescens, on the side effects of chemotherapy were studied using B16 melanoma-injected C57BL6 mouse tumor model. Anticancer drugs widely used in clinical situation. Sophora flavescen has significant effect on the reduction of the side effects of chemotherapy. Water extract of Sophora flavescens significantly inhibited cisplatin-induced increase of amylase (AMY) which is a good indicator of pancreatic toxicity. Sophora flavescens extract does not decrease the anti-tumor activity of cisplatin showing that it can selectively inhibit side effects of anticancer drugs preserving beneficial effect. Theses results suggest a possibility that Sophora flavescens extract can be used for cancer patients for the reduction of the side effects and improving the quality of life during chemotherapy of cancer patients.

Purpose: To investigate the clinical characteristics and treatment of intermediate uveitis under new diagnostic standards. Methods: Medical records of patients diagnosed with pars planitis or intermediate uveitis were followed for more than 6 months, and retrospectively reviewed. Results: A total of 90 patients and 117 eyes were enrolled in the study. The mean age was 40.1 years, and the mean follow-up period was 43.0 months. Thirty percent of cases were bilateral. The most common initial symptom was decreased visual acuity. Snowbank was detected in 39.3%, snowballs in 15.4%, vitritis in 96.6%, and vasculitis in 56.4%. Common complications includedcystoid macular edema (57.3%), cataracts (43.6%), and epiretinal membrane (36.8%). Therapies included topical steroids (82.9% of cases), posterior sub-Tenon steroid injection (45.3% of cases), systemic steroid administration (67.8% of cases), and immunosuppressants (28.7% of cases). Vitrectomy was performed in 11.1% of patients due to complications such as epiretinal membrane and traction retinal detachment. The mean initial and final visual acuities were 0.67 and 0.74, respectively. Conclusions: The patients in this study experienced various courses of symptoms that required different treatment plans. Future investigations may corroborate these results.

The characteristics of concrete strength and fracture parameters of recycled aggregate concrete were investigated to apply to the concrete pavements. As the results, the early strength of recycled aggregate concrete showed to be lower than that of natural coarse aggregate concrete, whereas strength at 28 days showed to be similar. Young's modulus of recycled aggregate concrete was lower than that of natural coarse aggregate concrete due to the difference of aggregate strength. And recycled aggregate concrete contained with ground granulated blast furnace slag seemed to have an effect of strength increasing. The critical stress intensity factor of recycled aggregate concrete at the early age was increased, and converged to be similar, compared to natural aggregate concrete at later age. The reliability of two-parameter fracture model was identified by the good correlation between the theoretical value computed by P-CMOD relationship and experimental results for Young's modulus and tensile strength. 본 연구는 재생골재를 사용한 콘크리트의 강도 및 파괴특성을 고찰하므로써 콘크리트 포장체에 적용성 여부를 검토하기 위해 수행하였다. 재생콘크리트의 초기강도는 낮았으나 재령 증가에 따라 기준콘크리트와 거의 유사한 값을 나타내었으며. 탄성계수는 골재 강성 차이로 인하여 낮게 나타났다. 또한 고로슬래그 미분말을 혼합한 재생콘크리트의 강도개선효과를 확인할 수 있었다. TPFM에 의한 파괴에너지는 초기재령에서 재생콘크리트의 파괴특성이 우수한 것으로 나타났으나, 재령증가에 따라 기준콘크리트와 유사한 값으로 나타났다. 또한 P-CMOD 측정결과로부터 이론적으로 구한 탄성계수 및 인장강도와 실험으로 구한 탄성계수 및 쪼갬인장 강도사이의 상관성은 매우 높은 결과를 나타내어 시험방법의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있었다.

Purpose: To report the case of a glaucoma patient with a history of LASIK surgery who presented with a wide discrepancy in intraocular pressure between the Goldmann applanation tonometry and non-contact tonometry. Methods: A 20-year-old male glaucoma patient was referred to our clinic with a chief complaint of blurred vision in his right eye. The patient had a history of uneventful bilateral LASIK surgery. Upon our initial examination, his best-corrected visual acuity in the right eye was 0.04 and his right eye IOP was 14 mmHg by Goldmann applanation tonometry and 40 mmHg by non-contact tonometry. A slit lamp examination showed corneal epithelial edema with diffuse interface opacities. The central corneal thickness in the right eye was 587 ?m. An ultrabiomicroscopy demonstrated an interface fluid accumulation between the LASIK flap and the stromal bed. The patient was diagnosed with juvenile open-angle glaucoma and was scheduled for a trabeculectomy. Results: Seven days after trabeculectomy, the patient`s vision in the right eye improved to 0.7 and his IOP was 12 mmHg by Goldmann applanation tonometry and 14 mmHg by non-contact tonometry. In addition, the corneal epithelial edema, interface opacities, and fluids had all resolved and the central corneal thickness was reduced to 489 ?m. Conclusions: In eyes that have undergone LASIK surgery, the IOP measured by Goldmann applanation tonometry may underestimate the true pressure due to fluid accumulation under the LASIK flap. In such cases, non-contact tonometry can be a convenient and a reliable method for determining treatment plan.
학교 급별 전환교육의 요소에 대한 특수학급 공간구성의 현황 분석에 관한 연구

본 연구는 특수교육대상학생의 통합교육을 위하여 일반학교에 설치된 특수학급의 공간구성에 관한 연구로서 「학교 급별 전환교육의 요소와 특수학급 공간구성 요소에 관한 연구」(김진철, 2010)의 후속 연구로 특수학급 교육과정 운영에 소요되는 설비·교구 및 활동 공간의 현황을 조사하여 전편에서 파악한 ‘학교 급별 전환교육의 요소와 특수학급 공간구성의 요소’에 대한 특수학급 공간구성의 현황을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 초등학교 특수학급의 설비·교구 및 활동 공간은 일상생활훈련과 기본생활습관 형성에 중점을 두고 있었으나 개인·사회·여가생활의 영역에서 필요한 동적활동공간이 ‘미흡’으로 나타나 동적활동공간의 확보가 우선인 것을 알 수 있으며 컴퓨터와 작업대를 포함한 작업공간의 현황이 ‘열악’한 것으로 나타나 전환교육의 어려움이 예상되어 직업교육과 관련한 체계적이고 계획적인 공간의 확대가 요구된다. 중학교 특수학급은 학습공간이 ‘우수’한 것을 제외한 모든 설비·교구 및 공간이 보통 이하로 나타나 전반적인 전환교육에 어려움이 예상되며 개인·사회·여가생활 영역의 활동에 필요한 동적활동공간의 현황이 ‘열악’해 사회생활 영역의 전환교육을 운영하기 어려우므로 동적활동공간의 확보가 우선인 것을 알 수 있다. 중학교 과정의 전환교육을 고려한다면 작업공간이 확보된 C유형(기본공간+컴퓨터+작업공간)에 동적활동공간이 추가된 형태가 바람직한 것을 알 수 있다. 고등학교 특수학급의 컴퓨터 현황은 ‘보통’ 이지만, 작업대와 동적활동공간은 ‘열악’으로 나타나 진로 준비와 직업배치 단계인 고등학교에서 전환교육을 운영하기에 어려움이 있을 것으로 예상된다. 지역 복지관이나 산업체에서 일정 부분의 직업준비 단계 프로그램에 참여하고 있으나, 특수학급은 전환교육을 운영할 수 있는 환경을 갖추어야 한다. 따라서 고등학교 특수학급은 B유형(기본공간+컴퓨터)과 F유형(직업훈련실 전용공간)의 교실을 갖추는 것이 바람직하고 학생의 수준을 고려하여 A유형(기본공간 : 관리업무, 교구수납, 개별·그룹학습, 정적활동, 시청각)과 F유형, C유형과 F유형의 조합도 상황에 따라 필요하다. 특수학급의 전환교육은 체계적이어야 한다. 성공적인 전환교육의 조건은 초등학교 과정부터 개별화 전환교육계획(Individualized Transition Planning; ITP)에 의한 단계적인 교육과정과 그 교육과정의 운영에 적합한 설비·교구로 이루어진 학습 및 활동공간이다. In general schools, spatial layouts in classes are built to offer integrated special education. This study follows the previous “A Study of Factors for Transitional Education at different School levels and Places of Special Education(by Kim, Jin chul, 2010)”. The study will attempt to analyze teaching aids and other facilities, which are utilized in the current special class curriculum to find out the problems and identify the types of spatial layouts in special classes. The following paragraphs will serve to document the results. In elementary school, the facilities and teaching aids focus on training students to cope in their daily lives and to develop their basic habits in everyday life. However, the dynamic activity spaces needed in all aspects of life (personal, social, leisure) was deemed ‘insufficient’. This is why it is important to priorities dynamic activity in education. Additionally, it is vital to expand working spaces as the current setup is known to contain flaws, thus it is important to improve both a student’s working panel and their set computer spaces to attain a better learning environment. In middle school, the current facilities and teaching aids used in a special class’s working space were seen to be ‘at a normal level’, though the level in learning spaces was rated ‘excellent’. Due to the difference in effectiveness between learning and working spaces, middle schools are expected to have difficulty in running overall transitional education. Again, dynamic activity spaces should remain the priority as they are necessary in the development of personal, social and leisure skills. This area has been labelled as having ‘the worst of conditions’ which, unless corrected, can lead to problems in running transitional education in accordance with a student’s social life. Considering the transitional education in middle school, C-type working spaces that include more dynamic activity spaces are desirable. Though the current standard of computers in special classes in high school is said to be ‘normal’, the working panels and dynamic activity spaces was regarded as ‘the worst’. Due to this, there could be difficulty in managing transitional education in high school, which is the final stage to arrange jobs and to establish a career. Local welfare centers and business industries are participating in job preparation programs, but special education classes should adjust their environments to manage transitional education. Therefore, it is essential to install the B-type and F-type classrooms in high school to better transitional education, with the inclusion of ‘A-type and F-type’, ‘C-type and F-type’ depending on the situation. Transitional education in special classes should be systematic. The key to success depends on following the curriculum (‘Individualized Transition Planning: ITP) from elementary school level upwards. Combining ITP with adequate activity space, suitable facilities and useful teaching aids will guarantee effective transitional education through all levels of school.
병풍쌈의 에탄올 추출물의 항산화 기능 및 DNA의 산화적 손상 억제작용

산나물의 일종인 병풍쌈[Cacalia firma Komar. (CFK)]은 산지에서는 인기 있는 자생식품 자원이다. 본 연구의 목적은 CFK의 ethanol (EtOH) 추출물의 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl, 2,2-azinobis(3-ethylbenozothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) diammonium salt, ferric reducing/antioxidant power 분석법 및 electron spin resonance spectroscopy에 의한 유리기의 억제작용과 agarose electrophoresis법에 의한 산화적 DNA damage에 대한 보호효과를 조사하는 것이다. HO·유리기에 의한 CFK EtOH 추출물의 DNA damage 보호효과는 항산화 참고 물질로 epicatechin, ascorbic acid 및 trolox등과 비교하였다. CFK EtOH 추출물 중의 총 페놀물질 분석은 Folin-Ciocalteu의 방법으로 행하고 표준물질로 gallic acid equivalents를 사용하여 함량을 표시하였다. CFK EtOH 추출물 중의 총 페놀 함량은 잎 과 줄기 부분에서 각각 161.53±1.07 μg/g, 142.45±0.56 μg/g이 확인 되었다. CFK EtOH 추출물 중의 유리기들에 대한 항산화 기능과 HO·기에 의한 DNA 손상에 대한 보호효과는 각각 약 60% 이상의 기능을 보였다. The Korean edible mountainous vegetable, byeongpungssam, [Cacalia firma Komar. (CFK)] is a wild plant found in the intermountain areas in Korea. The aim of this study was to investigate its free radical scavenging activity using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2-azinobis(3- ethylbenozothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) diammonium salt (ABTS), ferric reducing/antioxidant power (FRAP) assays, an electron spin resonance spectroscopy (ESR). We also examined its protective effect against oxidative DNA damage using agarose electrophoresis of ethanol (EtOH) extract of CFK. The protective activity of the extract against the DNA damage induced by HO·radicals was compared to epicatechin, ascorbic acid (AsA) and trolox as reference antioxidant compounds. Total phenolic content in the extract was determined spectrometrically according to the Folin- Ciocalteu procedure and calculated as gallic acid equivalents (GAE). Total polyphenolic content of the extract was measured in the leaves (161.53±1.07 μg/g) and shoot (142.45±0.56 μg/g). The antioxidant potential of the extracts against some radicals and DNA damage by HO·radicals showed over 60%, respectively.
