본 논문은 영동선 동백산역에서 도계역사이를 연결하는 장대터널 (솔안터널)의 시공사례에 대한 연구결과를 제시하였다. 본 터널은 완공시 길이 16.2Km로 국내최장터널이 된다. 본 터널 현장은 단층, 공동 및 함탄층으로 구성된 지질학적으로 복잡한 지역에 위치한다. 2번사갱 굴착을 위하여 사전에 전기비저항탐사 및 지하레이다탐사 등의 지구물리학적인 탐사방법이 단층, 공동 및 함탄층을 사전에 찾아내는데 활용되었으며, 이 방법은 상당한성과가 있었다. 이 물리탐사결과 및 현지 시추자료는 터널 보강설계를 개선하기 위한 자료로 활용되었다. 강관다단 그라우팅 방법은 단층 및 공동이 발달한 지역에서 좋은 보강 및 그라우팅효과를 발휘함이 입증되었다. 함탄층에서는 스웰렉스 록볼트와 공내 몰탈 그라우팅을 병행한 방법이 효과적임이 확인되었다. This paper presents a case study on the construction of a long tunnel named as "Solan tunnel", which connects between Mt. Dongbaek station and Dokye station in the Youngdong Railroad. The tunnel will be the longest tunnel with length of 16.4 km in Korea when completed. The tunnel site is located in a complex geological region with faults, cavities and coal measures. In construction of adit No. 2, geophysical investigation methods such as electrical resistivity method and GPR(Ground Penetration Radar) were used to detect faults, cavities and coal measures in advance with some success. The geophysical investigation results and in-situ boring data were used as feedback to improve tunnel reinforcement design. Also, the tube umbrellas of grouted steel pipes were found to have a good reinforcement and grouting effects in zones of faults, cavities. In zones of coal measures, swellex rockbolts with mortar grouting were verified as successful.

감초는 반사막성 식물로 국내 기후조건에서는 재배가 어렵다. 감초의 국내 재배 적응성을 높이기 위하여 최근 농촌진흥청에서 감초 신품종 ‘원감(Wongam, Glycyrrhiza glabra × Glycyrrhiza uralensis)’을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 원감 품종의 재배적지 평가를 위하여 온도조건에 따른 생육, 수량, 약리성분 특성을 조사하였다. 충북 음성 소재 온도구배터널에서 2017년 현지기온 대비 0 ‑ 1.5℃ 상승시 원감 품종의 평균 초장은 121.6㎝, 평균 수량(10a)은 878.1㎏이었다. 3.0 ‑ 4.5℃까지 상승시키자 평균 초장은 146.5㎝, 평균 수량(10a)은 1,484.6㎏으로 69.1%까지 증가하였다. 외기온도 대배 4.5 ‑ 5.9℃까지 상승시키자 평균 초장은 132.5㎝로 감소하였고, 수량도 1,366.3㎏으로 8.0% 감소하였다. Glycyrrhizin 함량은 터널 내 온도가 올라갈수록 0.98%에서 0.87%로 연속해서 감소하였다. 전체 평균 함량은 0.91%로 단기재배에 따른 축적부족이 원인인 것으로 추정된다. 본 연구결과, 2017년 충북 음성 기준 약 4.5℃까지 온도가 상승할수록 원감 품종의 생산량이 증가하였으므로 현재 충북 제천을 중심으로 형성된 재배지역을 중남부 지역까지 확대할 경우 이 품종의 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 또한 대한약전 기준치인 2.5%까지 글리시리진 함량을 증진시키기 위해서는 재배기간 연장을 고려해 볼 필요가 있다. Licorice is a semi-desert plant that is difficult to grow under Korean climatic conditions. In order to increase the adaptability of licorice in Korea, the Rural Development Administration (RDA) has recently developed a new variety of licorice, ‘Wongam (Glycyrrhiza glabra × Glycyrrhiza uralensis)’. In this study, the growth, yield, and pharmacological properties of the Wongam variety were investigated in accordance with temperature conditions to evaluate the suitability of the Wongam variety for cultivation. In the temperature gradient tunnel (TGT) atEumseong, Chungbuk, when the temperature was raised to 0℃ ‑ 1.5℃ higher than the local temperature in 2017, the average height of the Wongam variety was 121.6 ㎝ and the average yield (10a) was 878.1 ㎏. When the temperature was raised to be 3.0℃ ‑ 4.5℃ above the local temperature, the average height was 146.5 ㎝ and the average yield (10a) was 1,484.6 ㎏, anincrease of 69.1%. When the temperature was raised to be 4.5℃ ‑ 5.9℃ above the local temperature, the average height decreased to 132.5 ㎝ and the yield decreased 8.0% to 1,366.3 ㎏. Glycyrrhizin content of Wongam roots decreased steadily from 0.98% to 0.87% as the temperature in the TGT increased. The overall average content was 0.91%, which is presumed to be because of a lack of accumulation due to short-term cultivation. The results of this study showed thatthe production of the Wongam variety increased as the temperature was raised to about 4.5°C higher than the local temperature based on the 2017 temperature of Eumseong, Chungbuk, Korea. Therefore, if the current cultivation area formed in Jecheon in Chungbuk is extended to the south central region, the productivity of this cultivar can be greatly improved. In addition, the cultivated years should be extended to enhance glycyrrhizin content up to the 2.5% of the Korean Pharmacopoeia.
Determination of the Construction Method for the Young Dong tunnel by Risk Assessment

The construction method for the Young Dong Tunnel has been chosen following detailed risk assessment. In this paper, the specific risks to the project programme, associated with adopting either mechanical excavation in the form of a shielded TBM, or drill and blast excavation methods, are assessed. From the risk assessment results, and taking other important factors into account, such as project sensitivity and local experience, the recommendation is made that the relatively low risk drill-and-blast method is the most appropriate for construction of the Young Dong tunnel.

As use of tunnels and subways increase there also are accidents proportionate to it. Daegu Subway Station fire, Hongjimoon tunnel fire led people to be conscious of disaster protection and as a result, there is a trend to adopt standards for fire protection. Accordingly, this thesis is focused on investigating various fire and water protection related issues for subaqueous tunnel under Han river. The thesis developed evacuation and disaster prevention plan as fire level increases and have identified the suitability of disaster prevention through evacuation and fire simulation, countermeasure of a water leakage during construction and operation considering the subaqueous tunnel. And we selected EPB shield TBM equipment considering the ground condition and effect of boring hole, and accomplished reasonable water protection design through setting goals using event-tree method, as well as examining model test of boring hole and flooding in heavy rain. Also included structured total system consist of water leakage sensing system, water protection gate, pumping system and fire protection system to respond systematically in emergency.
