Distribution of Aquaporins (Water Channels) in the Rat Salivary Glands

침샘은 하루 1.5 l의 침을 분비하며, 일반적으로 침샘에서 수분이동은 능동적 염분 이동에 따른 삼투현상에 의해 일어난다. 따라서 침샘에서 높은 수분투과성으로 인해 수분통로 단백인 aquaporin (AQP)들이 풍부하게 존재할 수 있다. 지금까지침샘에 4가지 형태의 AQP이 존재한다고 알려져 있지만 침샘에서 정확한 위치와 수분 이동에 대한 각 AQP들의 역할은 아직 확실치 않다. 본 연구는 300 g 정도의 흰쥐를 pentobarbital sodium (50 mg/kg, IP) 마취하에서 carbarchol (10 μg/kg)을 복강 내 투여한 후 AQP들의 역할과 분포를 면역조직화학방법으로 조사하였다. AQP1은 침샘의 미세혈관의 내피세포와 샘세포와 샘관 주위에 존재하는 근육상피세포에 존재하였다. AQP4는 침샘관의 마지막 부위인 배출관에 존재하였다. AQP5는 주로 장액세포의 바닥가쪽과 세포사이 분비소관을 포함한 세포꼭대기쪽막 에 존재하였으며 콜린성 분비 자극으로 세포꼭대기쪽막으로 이동되어 밀집되었다. AQP5는 모든 침샘의 사이관과 줄무늬 관에도 존재하였으며 점액세포는 약하게 존재하였다. AQP8은 AQP5처럼 장액세포의 바닥쪽막과 세포사이 분비소관을 포함한 세포꼭대기쪽막에 존재하였으며 콜린성 침분비 자극으로 세포꼭대기쪽막쪽으로 이동되어 밀집되었다. 이상의 실험결과는 AQP5와 AQP8이 장액세포에서 일차 침 형성시 일어나는 수분이동의 주된 통로임을 시사하였다. The salivary glands produce 1.5 l of fluid per day. As in other organs, the general paradigm in the salivary glands is that water movement occurs secondary to osmotic driving forces created by active salt transport. Therefore, high water permeability in salivary glands is expected to need a variety of aquaporin (AQP), a water channel. Although four AQPs have been known to reside in salivary glands, the precise location and roles of AQPs have been not well examined. This study is aimed to investigate the distribution of AQPs in 3 major salivary glands and their changes after cholinergic stimulation using immunohistochemical study in Sprague Dawley rats weighing 300 g under pentobarbital sodium anesthesia. AQP1 was localized in the endothelial cells of all salivary capillary vessels and the myoepithelial cells. AQP4 was demonstrated in the epithelium of the excretory ductal cells of all salivary glands. AQP5 and 8 were abundantly present in the basolateral membrane and apical membranes of the serous acini including intercellular secretory canaliculi, whereas AQP5 was weakly present in mucous acini. In addition, AQP5 was found in the epithelium of the intercalated and striated ducts. Upon stimulation of carbachol (10 μg/kg, I.P). AQP5 and 8 tended to translocate from basolateral membrane to the apical membrane, appearing as clusters of dots. These results suggest that AQP5 and 8 are the candidate molecules responsible for the water movement in salivary acinar cells.
오징어 먹물을 첨가한 Yellow Layer Cake 개발에 관한 연구

This study was performed to develop a functional yellow layer cake with added cuttlefish ink, by evaluating its physiochemical properties and sensory qualities. Viscosity tended to increase, and height decrease, with the addition of cuttlefish ink. The sensory evaluation revealed the addition of cuttlefish ink in the cake. Specifically, at the 0.3% level color, flavor, and gumminess were enhanced. The brightness(L) of the crumb was highest in the in the control group, at 72.76, and decreased with increasing amounts of cuttlefish ink. The crust of the yellow layer cake was highest in the control group. Furthermore, redness(a) of the crumb was lowest in the control group. but for the crust, it was highest in the control group at crust. Yellowness(b) decreased with increasing amounts of cuttlefish ink for both the crumb and crust. The hardness, cohesiveness, gumminess, and chewiness of the yellow layer cake was highest in the control group.
대학입학전형 관련 요인에 따른 간호학과 1학년의 학업성취 분석

Purpose: This study aims to understand the influence of college entrance system-related factors and scores of college scholastic ability test on a first year nursing student’s academic achievement. Method: Data collected include both a descriptive survey designed to assess college entrance system-related factors with respect to 182 nursing students attending a 4-year nursing college program and their test scores in the first year. The data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test with Bonferroni’s correction, and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient through an SPSS 18.0 program. Results: Student academic achievement with regard to college entrance system-related factors exhibited significant divergence from first year grade point averages (hereafter GPA) and natural science grades. Conclusion: This study confirmed the existence of significant differences, depending on the factors regarding the college entrance system. As a result, conducting assessment to evaluate the level of basic knowledge before college entrance is highly recommended. Also recommended is the development of a support program for students projected to have difficulties with respect to their academic achievement.
간호학과 학생의 간호학과 조직문화, 이상적 조직문화, 간호현장 조직문화 인식 차이

본 연구는 간호학과 학생들의 간호학과 조직문화와 간호현장 조직문화에 대한 인식을 확인하고 조 직문화에 대한 인식이 성별, 학년별로 차이가 있는지를 확인하고자 시행되었다. 연구대상은 일 간호 학과 전체학생 220명으로 2016년 10월 자료를 수집하고 SPSS 22.0을 사용하여 ANOVA, RM ANOVA를 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 간호학과는 발전문화가 가장 낮고(2.91±0.66) 위계, 합리문화 가 높아(3.82±0.60, 3.82±0.46) 통제지향적인 문화가 강한 것으로 나타났다. 반면 이상적으로 생각 하는 조직문화는 집단문화가 가장 높게 나타나(4.12±0.61) 현재 간호학과조직문화와 이상적으로 생 각하는 조직문화 간에 차이가 있었다. 간호현장조직문화에 대해서는 위계문화를 가장 높게 (4.00±0.59) 발전문화를 가장 낮게(3.20±0.71)인식하고 있었다. 또한 간호학생들은 간호학과문화에 대해 위계, 합리문화를 학년에 관계없이 계속적으로 높게 인식하고 있었으나 집단문화, 발전문화는 점점 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다(F=5.49, p<.000, F=1.26, p=0.29). 성별에 따른 조직문화 인식은 간호현 장 위계문화인식에서만 차이가 있고 나머지는 차이가 없었다. 이를 볼 때 통제중심의 간호학과조직문 화는 변화될 필요가 있으며 간호학과에서는 어떤 조직문화가 가장 바람지한지에 대한 추후 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다. The purpose of this study was to examine the perception of nursing students organizational culture of nursing department, nursing field, ideal culture, and to ascertain whether there is a difference in perception of organizational culture by sex and grade. The subjects of this study were 220 students in the department of day nursing and analyzed by ANOVA and RM ANOVA using SPSS 22.0. The results showed that the developmental culture was the lowest (2.91±0.66), the hierarchical and rational culture was high (3.82±0.60, 3.82±0.46) in in nursing department. On the other hand, the perception of ideal organizational culture showed group culture (4.12±0.61) was highest. Regarding nursing field, hierarchical culture was the highest(4.00±0.59) and development culture was the lowest(3.20± 0.71). In addition, the nursing students recognized the hierarchical and rational culture of nursing and culture continuously high regardless of grade, but the group culture and the development culture were gradually lowered (F=5.49, p<.000, F=1.26, p=0.29). The perception of organizational culture according to gender differed only in recognition of hierarchical culture of nursing field and there was no difference in the rest. As a results of this study control oriented culture was strong in nursing department. Further research is needed to find out what is the most desirable type of organizational culture of nursing department.

Oddi is a mulberry fruit that has anti-inflammatory and antioxidative effects. This study was carried out to investigate the quality characteristics of mulberry fruit wines manufactured by two different methods. Where they were processed according to the traditional Korean fruit wine methodology(A) or a modified(B). Sensory qualities, physiochemical characteristics, and biochemical activities of the Oddi wines were analyzed. From the results of the sensory evaluation, manufacturing method A showed higher acceptability. However, the two different methods was not significantly different overall. The method A wine had higher brightness(L)(77.65) redness(a), and yellowness(b). As for the antioxidant activities and ACE(angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitory abilities of the wines manufacturing method A had greater values.
