A low loss radio frequency(RF) micro electro mechanical systems(MEMS) switch driven by a low actuation voltage was designed for the development of a new RF MEMS switch. The RF MEMS switch should be encapsulated. The glass cap and fabricated RF MEMS switch were assembled by the Au/Sn eutectic bonding principle for wafer-level packaging. The through-vias on the glass substrate was made by the glass dry etching and Au electroplating process. The packaged RF MEMS switch had an actuation voltage of 12.5 V, an insertion loss below 0.25 dB, a return loss above 16.6 dB, and an isolation value above 41.4 dB at 6 GHz.
고성능 저전력 SoC를 위한 Split-precharge Pulse-based Flip-Flop

In this paper. novel high-performance low-power flip-flop called split-precharge pulse-based flip-flop is presented. Split-precharging can minimize the parasitic capacitance of precharge nodes by making output driver transistors driven separately, resulting in high-speed and low power operation. The switching speed is further improved by avoiding the use of stacked transistors for driving the output load. Pulse-based nature of the proposed flip- flop also provides a negative setup time and minimizes the effects of clock skew. The proposed flip-flop was designed using a 0.18 ㎛ CMOS technology, whose comparison results indicate that the flip-flop achieves up to 33% power reduction with 5% speed improvement.

This paper presents a single-pole eight-throw(SP8T) switch based on proposed a radio-frequency(RF) microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) switches. The proposed switch was driven by a double stop(DS) comb drive, with a lateral resistive contact. Additionally, the proposed switch was designed to have tapered signal line and bi-directionally actuated. A forward actuation connects between signal lines and contact part, and the output becomes on-state. A reverse actuation connects between ground lines and contact part, and the output becomes off-state. The SP8T switch of 3-stage tree topology was developed based on an arrangement of the proposed RF MEMS switches. The developed SP8T switch had an actuation voltage of 12 V, an insertion loss of 1.3 dB, a return loss of 15.1 dB, and an isolation of 31.4 dB at 6 GHz.

Purpose: Skiing and snowboarding are becoming increasingly popular. Accordingly, the incidences of injuries among skiers and snowboarders are also increasing. The purpose of this study was to investigate the injury patterns of and the contributing factors to head injuries of skiers and snowboarders and to evaluate the differences in characteristics between skiing and snowboarding head injuries. Methods: One-hundred patients who visited the emergency department of Wonju Christian Hospital between January 2005 and March 2007 due to head injuries from skiing and snowboarding were enrolled. The mechanisms and the histories of the injuries were investigated by surveying the patients, and the degrees of head injuries were estimated by using brain CT and the Glasgow Coma Scale. The degrees and the characteristics of brain injuries were also analyzed and compared between skiers and snowboarders. Results: Out of 100 patients, 39 were injured by skiing, and 61 were injured by snowboarding. The mean age of the skiers was 26.7±10.0, and that of the snowboarders was 26.7±6.2. The percentage of male skiers was 43.6%, and that of snowboarders was 63.9%. The most frequent initial chief complaints of head-injured skiers and snowboarders were headache and mental change. The most common mechanism of injuries was a slip down. The mean Abbreviated Injury Scale Score (AIS score) of the skier group was 4.5±2.1 and that of the snowboarder group was 5.9±5.0 (p=0.222). The percentage of helmet users was 7.1% among skiers and 20.8% among snowboarders (p=0.346). Head injuries were composed of cerebral concussion (92.0%) and intracranial hemorrhage (8.0%). Intracranial hemorrhage was most frequently caused by falling down (62.5%). Conclusion: The most common type of head injury to skiers and snowboarders was cerebral concussion, and severe damage was usually caused by jumping and falling down. No differences in the characteristics of the head injuries existed between skiing and snowboarding injuries.
남극 기초과학연구 지원을 위한 공간정보 인프라 현황 및 연구방안

국토교통부 국토지리정보원에서는 우리나라 활동영역 확대와 국익강화를 위해 남극지역 측량 및 지도제작 사업을 통해 남극지역 기초과학자료를 축적하고 남극연구 활동을 지원하고 있다. 이를 통해 세종 및 장보고 과학기지 주변의 수치지도 및 정사영상 제작, GNSS 위성기준점, 조위계, 측량기준점 등 설치 및 관측을 실시하였다. 또한, 향후 지구환경변화 대응전략 수립 등 국제사회의 노력에도 동참함으로써 관련 분야에서의 국가위상을 제고하고 국민적 자긍심을 고취하고자 한다. National Geographic Information Institute(NGII) affiliated to Ministry of land, infrastructure and transportation(MOLIT), collects basic science data and supports related research activities of Antarctic area for surveying and mapping activities. NGII has made digital map and image map around the King Sejong and Jang Bogo Station, established and observed GPS satellite datum point, tide gage and survey control point. Also, NGII has been implementing surveying and mapping activities in the King Sejong and Jang Bogo Station, In addition, NGII participates in efforts by the international community to establish responding strategy for global environmental change and tries to raise national strength in related field and inspire national pride through it.

기존의 frequentist 추론에 비해 Bayesian 추론에서의 가설 검정 및 모형 선택 문제는 학자들 간에 일치된 견해를 보이지 못하고 있으며 아직도 논란이 되는 것들이 많다. Bayesian 추론에서 가설 검정 및 모형 선택의 기준으로 널리 쓰이는 Bayes factor는 이해하기 쉬우나 여러 경우에 구하기 어려운 단점이 존재한다. 그 외에 다른 기준으로 Spiegelhalter 등 (2002)가 제시한 DIC(Deviance Information Criterion)과 frequentist 추론에서의 P-value에 대비되는 Bayesian P-value가 있다. 본 논문에서는 Swiss banknote 자료를 Bayesian 로지스틱 회귀모형으로 분석하고 관련 기준들을 구하여 각 기준들이 일관성 있는 결론을 보이는지 확인하고자 한다. Model selection and hypothesis testing problems in Bayesian inference are still debated between scholars. Bayesian factors traditionally used as a criterion in Bayesian hypothesis testing and model selection, are easy to understand but sometimes hard to compute. In addition, there are other model selection criterions such as DIC(Deviance Information Criterion) by Spiegelhalter et al. (2002) and Bayesian P-values for testing. In this paper, we briefly introduce the Bayesian hypothesis testing and model selection procedure. In addition we have applied a Bayesian inference to Swiss banknote data by a fitting logistic regression model and computing several test statistics to see if they provide consistent results.
일본 토호쿠 대지진에 의한 측량 성과의 변동량 보정 방법에 관한 연구

2011년 3월 11일에 발생한 일본 토호쿠 대지진은 진도 9M의 대규모 지진으로써 일본지역에서만 최대 약 2.5m의 지각변동량을 발생시켰다. 지리적으로 인접한 우리나라에서도 지각변동량이 발생하였으며, 이로 인하여 각종 측량 기준점들의 위치 변화가 발생하였다. 지각변동에 의한 측량 기준점들의 위치 변화는 각종 측량성과에도 영향을 미치기 때문에 그 변화량을 분석하고 보정할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 일본 토호쿠 대지진 발생 전·후의 우리나라 위성기준점 데이터를 정밀 처리 S/W를 이용하여 분석함으로써 위성기준점들의 위치 변화량을 분석하고, 이로부터 지각변동량 보정 모델을 개발하여 통합기준점의 성과를 보정하였다. 또한 보정된 통합기준점 성과와 실측 성과를 비교함으로써 지각변동량 보정 모델의 정확도를 평가하였다. Japan Tohoku Earthquake of 9.0 magnititude was occurred the crust distorting of up to about 2.5m on March 11, 2011. Becaused of the Tohoku Earthquake, various reference points has changed position in the korea. Variations in location of surveying reference points by crust distorting have to analyze variations about impact of earthquake. In this study, we calculated the absolute and relative amount of movement of the GPS permanent stations using GAMIT/GLOBK software. Finally, we have evaluated the accuracy of the crustal variation of movement model.

This study is on the analysis of surveying range and accuracy of potable photogrammetric survying system which can be used at field complementary surveying, sign board investigation, and so on. Precise equipment for potable photogrammetric survying was made and adequate surveying model and calibration method were applied. Then, it"s surveying range and accuracy were investigated by field test.
