Objective:The prognosis for patients with glioblastoma remained dismal despite significant advancement of neurosurgery, neuroradiology and radiation-oncology. Various factors, such as young age, high preoperative performance score have been known to prolong the survival time, but the extent of surgical resection has been in debate. The aim of this study is to investigate prognostic factors related to the survival time in the patients with glioblastoma. Methods:We retrospectively reviewed the clinical and radiological data of 51 patients with glioblastoma. The relationship between clinical, radiological and therapeutic factors and survival time of patients with glioblastoma was investigated by univariate and multivariate analyses. Results:The overall median survival time was 18.4 months. Significant favorable prognostic factors associated with prolongation of survival time were younger age(less than 45 years), adjuvant chemotherapy and tumor location(not involved eloquent area) with multivariate analysis. The extent of surgical removal and adjuvant brachytherapy additionally affected survival time with univariate analysis. Conclusion:According to our results, we suggest that the multimodality treatment including maximal surgical resection, conventional radiation therapy , brachytherapy, and chemotherapy should be performed to prolong the survival time of the patients with glioblastoma.
High concentration fresnel lens PV system gives us reduction of solar cell cost and would become more profitable than any other PV system. PV concentrator system will have become one of the most efficient and profitable solar power system in the world market. In this paper we will describe ray tracing simulation with high concentration fresnel lens design. Tilted incident irradiation passing through fresnel lens will influence ray position on PV receiver. We also investigate lightpipe system on pv receiver in order to get uniform light beam profiles.
Primary fresnel lens with 476X concentration factor has its focal length of 200㎜. Focal length of primary lens is set up for size of 5㎜ by 5㎜ triple junction solar cell. Tilted angle of incident sun light causes focal point of primary fresnel lens away from its original position. Secondary optics is built on corrected version of its tilted angle tolerance of ±1°. This design is modeled from spherical type lens due to low cost of manufacture. We analyze both solar ray distributions of focal point region in case of no secondary optics and secondary optics. Secondary optics for our design are the most important issue for off axis from sun light. Advantages of secondary optical elements of our design are irradiation uniformity and acceptance angle tolerance of ±1°
In this work, various phosphor pastes were prepared for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). For this. ethyl cellulose was used as a binder and the higher propcrties was observed when the paste content was 15 wt%. performance of photoelectrode paste was prepared when the YAG;Ce phosphor paste of 25 wt% ‘was added and mixed with TiO2 paste. It was observed that the photoelectrode paste was well dispersed from the SEM analysis. Compared to the reference electrode without using phosphor paste, an increase in energy conversion effieiencies of thin films preparcd by 3M-Tape and scrcen printer was 30% and 4%.
Burstall과 Darlington의 unfold/fold 프로그램 변환시스템은 일차언어로 쓰인 프로그램을 위하여 원래 개발되어, 선형적 순환 호출을 가진 많은 프로그램들과 내포되지 않은 비선형적 순환 호출을 가진 프로그램들을 최적화 시키는데 효과적임이 보여졌다. 이 논문에서 우리는 순환적 호출을 가진 프로그램들이 폭넓은 상황속에서, 내포된 순환호출의 존재에 관계없이, unfold/fold 방법을 사용하여 동등한 반복적 프로그램으로 변환될 수 있다는 것을 보인다. 이 같은 프로그램 변환은 eureka 정의에 순환호출을 도입함으로써 가능해진다. 그 결과, 이 변환에 사용되는 eureka 정의를 적절히 수정함으로써 많은 경우에, 내포된 순환 호출을 가진 원래의 프로그램으로부터 보다 효율적인 반복적 프로그램이 얻어질 수 있게된다 . The unfold/fold program transformation system developed by Burstall and Darlington has been shown to be effective for optimization of a wide class of programs written in first-order recursion equations, including various linear recursive programs and non-linear recursive programs with no nested recursion. In this paper, we show that recursive programs including non-linear recursive programs with nested recursion can be transformed by the unfold/fold transformation rules into equivalent iterative programs under a very broad circumstance. Such transformations are made possible by introducing recursion into eureka definitions in a certain fashion. A consequence of this situation is that, by modifying the eureka definitions in an appropriate way, often more efficient iterative programs can be obtained from initially non-linear recursive programs with nested recursion.
