        The Changing Structure of Demand-Supply for Mineral Resources in South Korea

        지난 20년간(年間) 한국경제(韓國經濟)의 지속적(持續的)인 산업발전(産業發展)은 광물자원(鑛物資源)의 대량소비시대(大量消費時代)를 이룩하였다. 그러나 이와 같은 소비(消費)의 급성장(急成長)은 대부분(大部分) 외국(外國)으로부터의 수입(輸入)에 의존(依存)하였다· 한국(韓國)에서는 330여(余) 광종(鑛種)이 알려져왔으며, 그중에서 50여종(種)이 산업원료(産業原料) 광물자원(鑛物資源)으로 이용(利用)되고 있다. 1988년(年) 연료광물자원(燃料鑛物資源)을 제외(除外)한 전체(全體) 금속(金屬) 비금속(非金屬) 원료광물자원(原料鑛物資源)의 국내(國內) 자급도(自給度)는 29% 였고, 26종(種)의 비금속(非金屬) 광물(鑛物)은 그 자급도(自給度)가 66%로 비교적(比較的) 높은 편이나, 18종(種)의 금속광물(金屬鑛物)의 경우는 그 자급도(自給度)가 6.3%에 불과한 실정(實情)이다. 1970년대(年代) 이후(以后) 우리나라의 경제발전(經濟發展) 단계에서 국민총생산량(國民總生産量)과 광물소비(鑛物消費)와의 관계는 아주 완만한 변화양상(變化樣狀)을 보이고 있다. The accelerated industrialization of Korean economy over the last couple of decades has brought an era of mass consumption of mineral commodities. This increased consumption has been satisfied mainly by imports from abroad. South Korea has about 50 useful mineral commodities for the mineral industry, among 330 kinds of minerals described. In 1988 the self-sufficiency ratio of domestic demand for 44 non-fuel(metallic and non-metallic) minerals as a whole was no more than 29 percent. The ratio for 26 non-metallic minerals was much higher, about 66 percent. On the other hand, the ratio for 18 metallic minerals was relatively very low, about 6.3 percent. The correlation between GNP and mineral consumption in South Korea shows well the slow down patterns during the last two decades.

        파주(波州) 산성화성암체(酸性火成岩體)의 암석학적(岩石學的) 연구(硏究)

        The study is on petrology and petrochemistry of Pajoo Acidic Igneous pluton which intruded into Precambrian metasediments of basement of the area. The geologic sequence of studied area was shown in table 1 and 10 modal analyses and 7 chemical analyses on the rock samples taken from the body. Pajoo Acidic Igneous rock consist of hypersthene-quartz-diorite and porphyritic adamellite which based on the classification of the subcommision on systematics of igneous rocks of IUGS. And porphyritic adamellite which occured as a small stock was intruded into hypersthene quartz diorite. The rock forming minerals of hypersthene quartz diorite are composed of plagioclase, perthite, quartz, hypersthene, hornblende, biotite and porphyritic adamellite is composed of perthite, quartz, plagioclase and biotite. And the former is hypidiomorphic granular texture and later is porphyritic texture with microcline phenocrysts. In silica-oxides variation diagram, the Pajoo acidic igneous rocks are similar to the trend of Daly's average composition and equivalent to the calc-alkalic rock series. In AMF diagram, these rocks are stock of fissure filling vein type by cooling in magmatic differentiation.

        저탄소 에너지 학술 정보 분석

        현대 사회에서 우리 삶의 생활 방식은 엄청난 에너지를 필요로 하고 있다. 따라서 오늘날 국제사회는 자원 고갈과 에너지 안보 및 지구 온난화 등에 대처하기 위한 에너지 기술 혁명을 진행하고 있다. 즉, 에너지 기술혁명은 저탄소 에너지기술의 개발과 보급으로 나타나고 있다. 국제사회는 미래의 새로운 에너지 패러다임을 위해 진행하고 있는 저탄소 에너지 기술 혁명, 기술개발 현황, 국제사회의 추진 전략, 저탄소 에너지 기술의 부문별 현황과 과제 해결 등을 추진하고 있다. 따라서 국제 사회의 저탄소 에너지 기술 개발현황과 'Web of Science'에 등록된 학술 문헌지에 발표된 저탄소 에너지 자료 (2001~2015년) 검색을 통하여 총 1441편이 확인되었으나 정밀 분석을 통해서 저탄소 에너지에 관련성이 적은 논문을 제외한 결과 총 869편을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 저탄소 에너지 기술에 대한 국제적인 공동연구는 영국, 중국, 미국, 네덜란드 및 일본을 중심으로 연구가 이루어졌다. The lifestyle of human's lives in the current society, it requires a tremendous amount of energy. In the recently, the international community has been progressing the energy technology revolution to combat the resource depletion, energy security and global warming. According to the academic literature to the low-carbon energy(2001~2015) by the program of 'Web of Science', the research activities of 869 papers are to be closely related to low-carbon energy. International joint research on low-carbon energy technologies was mostly conducted by the research center of the United Kingdom, China, the United States, the Netherlands and Japan.

        동명광산(東明鑛山)의 스카른형(型) 회중석(灰重石) 광상(鑛床)의 성인(成因)

        The skarn type tungsten deposits are developed in the contact aureole of Jurassic biotite-hornblende granodiorite and limestone beds. The latter can be divided into the Great Limestone Series of Joseon System and Gabsan Formation which is correlative to the Hongjeom Series of Pyeongahn System. The skarns are impregnated in the limestone, sandstone, schist and granodiorite, and showing zonal distribution. The five skarn zones are from fresh limestone inwards to wollastonite-skarn, clinopyroxene-skarn, clinopyroxene-garnet skarn, garnet skarn and vesuvianite skarn zone. The ore mineral, scheelite, disseminates in the clinopyroxene-garnet and vesuvianite skarn zone, and the size of the scheelite crystals in vesuvianite skarn zone is larger than in clinopyroxene- garnet skarn zone. According to the mineral paragenesis and the composition of skarn minerals, oxygen fugacity ($fo_2$) is low. Fluid inclusions in quartz comprise much $LCO_2$ and fluid inclusion studies revealed that the homogenization temperatures range $240-290^{\circ}C$.

        어래산지역(御來山地域)의 갈렴석광상(褐簾石鑛床)

        A study of rare-earth mineralization in Kyemyungsan metasedimentary formation of Precambrian Ogcheon Group was carried out in the Mt. Eore Area near Choongju City based on the thorium (Th) and uranium (U) count data of geophysical airborne survey. This rare-earth mineralization was found in the magnetite-bearing banded quartizite which contains diagnostically some amounts of the metamict allanite. The brown colored allanites are distributed as aggregates of fine grains and sometimes banded structures with magnetite (inter growth) along the banding. The ore bed is displaced by the small faults and granite intrusions, and separated 5 ore blocks. The dimensions of the outcrop are 50-80 m in width, 1,500 m in length with the strike of $N70-80^{\circ}E$ and dip of $50-80^{\circ}NW$. In the field, the values of total gamma ray count of GR-101A scintillometer were able to measure more than 400 cps and maximum 1,500 cps, which data are coincided with the values of GR-310 gamma ray spectrometer and the gamma ray count of well logging data. The chemical compositions of the allanites from EPMA data are ranged from$\sum^{TR_2O_3}$ 18.57% to 26.00%, and the cerium oxides ($Ce_2O_3$) of allanite are positive relation with $La_2O_3$, MgO, FeO, MnO and negative relation with $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, $Nd_2O_3$. The result of Neutron Activation Analysis (N.A.A.), Multi-Channel Analysis (M.C.A.) and wet chemistry of 25 outcrop samples for the elements of REE, Zr, U, Th shows strong anomalies. The good correlation elements with the thorium (Th) are the elements of La, Ce, LREE, $TR_2O_3$, Pr, Sm, Yb, Lu by the increasing order.
