We have examined the purgative effect of three Jechun-jun formulas in sprague dawley(SD) rat. Three jechun-jun formulas were Jechun-jun(Sample I ) and augmented Jechun-jun(Sample II) and augmented Jechun-jun add rhubarb(sample III ). We examined the amount and the humidity of feces in rat. The experimental animals were devided into four groups. as control group and three Jechun-jun (sample I, II, III). We administerd the water extract of sample I, II, III to rat per oral for 8days long. After every 24hours measured the amount of wet feces from rats in metabolic cage. Humidity rate of feces from rat was at first measure wet feces for 24hours (W) and measure dried feces (W1) and then we consider W-W1 as humidity. High humidity rate means constipation changes into moistening stool. The amount of wet feces and humidity rate of feces in rats were increased in sample I, II, III. Sample I has highest humidity rate of feces. so showed strong moistening effect. Sample II has mild effect in treating constipation. sample III has most amount of wet feces. in conclusion Jechun-jun has an effect of moistening stool. and augmented Jechun-jun add rhubarb has strong purgative effect.
A Benzodithiophene-based Semiconducting Polymer for Organic Thin Film Transistor
Hong, Jung-A,Kim, Ran,Yun, Hui-Jun,Park, Joung-Man,Shin, Sung Chul,Kim, Yun-Hi Korean Chemical Society 2013 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.34 No.4
Benzodithiophene based organic semiconducting polymer was designed and synthesized by stille coupling reaction. The structure of polymer was confirmed by NMR and IR. The weight average molecular weight ($M_w$) of polymer was 8,400 using GPC with polydispersity index of 1.4. The thermal, optical and electrochemical properties of polymer were characterized by TGA and DSC, UV-vis absorption and cyclic voltammetry. OTFT device using PBDT-10 exhibited the mobility of $7.2{\times}10^{-5}\;cm^2\;V^{-1}\;s^{-1}$ and $I_{on}/I_{off}$ of $2.41{\times}10^3$. The film morphology and crystallinity of PBDT-10, was studied using AFM and XRD.

<P>BACKGROUND: Surfactant-made micelles can control the rate of chemical degradation of poorly water-soluble food flavors. To evaluate how the molecular structure of surfactant has an influence on the chemical decomposition rate of citral, micelles were prepared with polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-type surfactants that had similar molecular structures but various hydrophilic head sizes and hydrophobic tail lengths. RESULTS: At a critical 20x micelle concentration of surfactant, there was no significant difference in the chemical degradation rate of citral in micelles in neutralpH, regardlessof thehydrophilic head size orhydrophobic tail length. In an acidic environment, the degradation rate constant of citral generally increased proportionally with increasing hydrophilic head size of surfactant (0.1563 and 0.2217 for surfactants with 23 and 100 oxyethylene units, respectively) but the length of hydrophobic tail did not affect the citral stability. Also, little difference (0.2217 and 0.2265 for surfactant having 100 oxyethylene units with and without Fe3+) in degradation rate constant of citral between simple micellar solution and micellar solution containing iron suggested that iron ions could not accelerate citral degradation in micelles, regardless of the form of iron (Fe2+ and Fe3+). CONCLUSION: This work concludes that although the concentration of surfactant could be relevant, if its concentration could be controlled in the samemanner as the critical micelle concentration, then a polyethylene alkyl ether-type surfactantwith a small hydrophilic head couldmore efficiently stabilize citral at an acidic pH. Early Germination Response of Soybean Seed to Accelerated Aging and Low Dose Gamma Irradiation
Jun-Kwon Hwangbo,Jae-Sung Kim,Ji Hyeok Lim,Myung-Hwa Baek,Byung Yeoup Chung,Jin-Hong Kim 韓國作物學會 2004 Korean journal of crop science Vol.49 No.1
The responses of soybean seeds were evaluated to accelerated aging and gamma irradiation with regard to germination, seed leakage, seed leachate component and dry weight of hypocotyl and primary root of the germinating seed. Accelerated aging significantly reduced the final germination rate while gamma irradiation increased the final germination rate. Furthermore, the interactive effects occurred that the final germination rate of 5-day aged seeds increased considerably in response to 4 Gy of gamma irradiation. The extent to which the electrolyte was leaked from the seeds (conductivity) was significantly affected by accelerated aging and showed a close negative correlation with the germination rate. Gamma irradiation, however, did not significantly affect the electrical conductivity of seed leachate. The accelerated aging significantly increased the concentrations of the particular electrolytes leaked from the seeds while the gamma irradiation did not affect those concentrations. Of the electrolytes leaked from the seeds, Ca and Mg showed relatively lower concentrations while K showed greater concentrations than others. Moreover, N and P showed similar responses to aging treatment. Aging treatment significantly affected dry weight (DW) of hypocotyls and primary root. Also, gamma irradiation decreased DW of hypocotyls and primary root, particularly for 8 Gy associated with 5 days aging treatment. The data were discussed in terms of the relationships of seed vigor with aging treatment and gamma irradiation.

Six ansamycin derivatives were isolated from the culture broth of Streptomyces sp. KCB17JA11, including four new hygrolansamycins A-D (1-4) and known congeners divergolide O (5) and hygrocin C (6). Compounds 1-5 featured an unusual six-membered O-heterocyclic moiety. The isolation workflow was guided by a Molecular Networking-based dereplication strategy. The structures of 1-4 were elucidated using NMR and HRESIMS experiments, and the absolute configuration was established by the Mosher’s method. Compound 2 exhibited mild cytotoxicity against five cancer cell lines with IC50 values ranging from 24.60 ± 3.37 μM to 49.93 ± 4.52 μM.
