The clastogenic effects of the diesel emission particle extrace(DEPE), mercuric chloride and lead acetate were examined by the mouse bone marrow micronucleus test. DEPE had a potent clastogenic effect by intraperitoneal injection with dose-response between 100 and 300mg/kg b.w.. Mercuric chloride and lead acetate also gave a clastogenic effects but mercuric chloride only had a dose-response between 1 and 3mg/kg b.w.. When DEPE was administrated with mercuric shloride or lead acetate, the frequency of micronucleated cells was slight but not significant incresase in comparision to a single treatment with DEPE alone.

      • Eisenmenger씨 증후군 산모의 긴박 제왕절개술시 전신마취 경험

김준,고우석,정종달,유병식,임경준,소금영,안태훈,한승룡 朝鮮大學校 附設 醫學硏究所 2007 The Medical Journal of Chosun University Vol.32 No.1

Eisenmenger's syndrome describes a situation in which the left-to-right intracardiac shunt is reversed as a result of increased pulmonary vascular resistance. The patients with Eisenmenger's syndrome are poorly tolerated and markedly increased maternal mortality to 30 - 50% during pregnancy, Physiological change of pregnancy decreases systemic vascular resistance that further aggravates the bi-directional or left shunt associated with Eisemnenger's syndrome. We report a case of 37 weeks a pregnant woman with an urgent cesarean section under general anesthesia for preterm labor. She was a pregnant patient with Eisenmenger's syndrome and did not receive antenatal care during pregnancy. Anesthesia was induced with ketamine-midazolam-fentanyl and maintained with ketamine-midazolam. The patient was ventilated with 100% O₂. Blood pressure was maintained with intravenous phenylephrine, crystalloid solution, and blood. Phenylephhne was used to maintain systemic vascular resistance (SVR). Even though the patient was carried rapid and adequate medical management, the patient was transferred to the ICU in an intubated state and died 2 days after surgery. We conclude that the parturients with Eisenmenger's syndrome require more regular, careful antenatal care, monitoring, and adequate management.

PURPOSE: This study seeks to examine the awareness and need of home visiting physical therapy among physical therapist in Gwangju and Jeonnam province. METHODS: Survey was conducted during the continuing education on physical therapist held in Gwangju in 2015 with 297 participants. The survey questionnaire consisted of 12 questions on the characteristics of physical therapists, 8 questions regarding the awareness of home visiting physical therapy, and 7 questions on need. RESULTS: Significant differences were found regarding service period, according to categories of the inconvenience associated with commuting to/from hospitals, long-term treatment for patients, high quality treatment with intensive care, treatment at a time of patients’ choosing. The category of hospital fees reduced due to early discharge from the hospital also saw significant differences, depending on respondents’ marital status, dependent family, and service period. Providing treatment without causing discomfort to patients in front of others also saw significant differences according to physical therapist career period. Home visiting physical therapy is easier for family members to take care of patients also saw significant differences according to education and physical therapist career period. CONCLUSION: Survey indicates that physical therapist province feel the need for home visiting physical therapy in many respects. However, since as many as half of the surveyed physical therapists have only heard of home visiting physical therapy or are have no awareness of the this form of treatment, it appears that there is a need to raise awareness of home visiting physical therapy among physical therapist and introduce appropriate policies.

      • pn-Heterojunction Effects of Perylene Tetracarboxylic Diimide Derivatives on Pentacene Field-Effect Transistor

        Yu, Seong Hun,Kang, Boseok,An, Gukil,Kim, BongSoo,Lee, Moo Hyung,Kang, Moon Sung,Kim, Hyunjung,Lee, Jung Heon,Lee, Shichoon,Cho, Kilwon,Lee, Jun Young,Cho, Jeong Ho American Chemical Society 2015 ACS APPLIED MATERIALS & INTERFACES Vol.7 No.3

<P>We investigated the heterojunction effects of perylene tetracarboxylic diimide (PTCDI) derivatives on the pentacene-based field-effect transistors (FETs). Three PTCDI derivatives with different substituents were deposited onto pentacene layers and served as charge transfer dopants. The deposited PTCDI layer, which had a nominal thickness of a few layers, formed discontinuous patches on the pentacene layers and dramatically enhanced the hole mobility in the pentacene FET. Among the three PTCDI molecules tested, the octyl-substituted PTCDI, PTCDI-C8, provided the most efficient hole-doping characteristics (p-type) relative to the fluorophenyl-substituted PTCDIs, 4-FPEPTC and 2,4-FPEPTC. The organic heterojunction and doping characteristics were systematically investigated using atomic force microscopy, 2D grazing incidence X-ray diffraction studies, and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy. PTCDI-C8, bearing octyl substituents, grew laterally on the pentacene layer (2D growth), whereas 2,4-FPEPTC, with fluorophenyl substituents, underwent 3D growth. The different growth modes resulted in different contact areas and relative orientations between the pentacene and PTCDI molecules, which significantly affected the doping efficiency of the deposited adlayer. The differences between the growth modes and the thin-film microstructures in the different PTCDI patches were attributed to a mismatch between the surface energies of the patches and the underlying pentacene layer. The film-morphology-dependent doping effects observed here offer practical guidelines for achieving more effective charge transfer doping in thin-film transistors.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/aamick/2015/aamick.2015.7.issue-3/am507854s/production/images/medium/am-2014-07854s_0009.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/am507854s'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>
