Sodium (3S,4R)-3-[2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-(Z)-2-methoxyi minoacetamido]-4-methoxymethyl-2-azetidinone-1- sulfonate (2) was synthesized in fourteen steps from D-aspartic acid. Starting from D-aspartic acid, (3S,4R)-3-amino-1-t-butyldimethylsilyl-4-methoxym ethyl-2-azetidinone (12) was synthesized in ten steps. Acylation of the amino group of 12 with $2-amino-{\alpha}-(methoxyimino)-4-thiazoleacetic$ acid, desilylation, sulfonation, and ion exchange afforded sodium (3S,4R)-3-[2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-(Z)-2-methoxyi minoacetamido]-4-methoxymethyl-2-azetidinone-1- sulfonate (2). This new ${\beta}-lactam$ compound 2 showed low antibacterial activities.

Herpesvirus saimiri (HVS), a member of the $\delta$-herpesvirus family, encodes an oncoprotein called Saimiri Transforming Protein (STP) which is required for lymphoma induction in non-human primates. Previous study has shown that STP-C, an oncoprotein of HVS, activates NF-$\kappa$B signaling pathway. However, the detailed mechanism of STP-Cmediated NF-$\kappa$B activation has not been reported yet. We first report that STP-C interacts with TRAF6 protein in vivo and in vitro and further investigation shows that $Glu_{12}$ residue of STP-C is critical for binding to TRAF6. Introduction of ubiquitin together with STP-C augments NF-$\kappa$B activity compared to that of STP-C expression alone. STP-C expression further induces ubiquitination of endogenous TRAF6. In addition, either a deubiquitination enzyme, CYLD or a dominant negative E2-conjugation enzyme reduced NF-$\kappa$B activity in spite of the presence of STP-C, supporting that the interaction between STP-C and TRAF6 induces ubiquitination of TRAF6. NF-$\kappa$B activation by STP-C through the ubiquitinated TRAF6 causes the increased production of IL-8, an inflammatory chemokine and the enhanced expression of costimulatory molecule ICAM, which might ultimately contribute cellular transformation by the exposure of HVS-infected cells with inflammatory microenvironment and chronic activation.
2008년 국민건강영양조사에 근거한 과채류 주스 음용으로부터 한국인의 일인당 하루 총페놀, 총플라보노이드 및 항산화능 섭취량 추정

본 연구에서는 2008년도 국민건강영양조사 자료를 분석하여 우리나라에서 가장 많이 소비되는 상위 7종류의 과채류 주스(사과, 포도, 감귤, 오렌지, 석류, 파인애플, 토마토)를 선정하고, 이 주스들의 총페놀, 총플라보노이드 및 항산화능 함량을 정량 분석하였다. 2008년에 실시한 국민건강영양조사의 자료 분석을 통해 오렌지 주스(6.31 g/capita/day), 포도 주스(2.28 g/capita/day), 토마토 주스(1.50 g/capita/day), 감귤 주스(1.23 g/capita/day), 사과 주스(1.05 g/capita/day), 석류 주스(0.17 g/capita/day), 파인애플 주스(0.05 g/capita/day) 등 7가지 과채류 주스의 하루 일인당 주스 소모량을 산출하였다. 총 7종류의 과채류 주스의 섭취를 통해서 얻어진 일인당 하루 섭취량의 경우, 총페놀 섭취량은 11.70 mg GAE/capita/day, 총플라보노이드 섭취량은 1.65 mg CE/capita/day, 그리고 항산화능은 10.42 mg VCE/capita/day(DPPH 분석법)와 13.21mg VCE/capita/day(ABTS 분석법)였다. 일인당 하루 총페놀 섭취량, 총플라보노이드 섭취량 및 항산화능 섭취량 추정은 과채류 주스의 페놀성 화학물질 등의 생리활성성분의 농도뿐만 아니라 일인당 하루 과채류 주스 소모량에도 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. From an analysis of the daily consumption per capita (g/capita/day) in the existing dataset of the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2008, the top seven fruit and vegetable juices (apple, grape, mandarin, orange, pineapple, pomegranate and tomato) commercially available on the Korean market were selected and analyzed. These juices showed a wide range of levels of total phenolics, total flavonoids, and antioxidant capacities. The daily per capita intake of total phenolics from juice consumption was 11.70 mg gallic acid equivalents and that of total flavonoids was 1.65 mg catechin equivalents. The daily per capita intakes antioxidant capacities were 10.42 mg vitamin C equivalents (DPPH assay) and 13.21 mg vitamin C equivalents (ABTS assay). Daily per capita intakes of total phenolics, total flavonoids, and antioxidant capacities were influenced by the compositional content and the daily consumption of fruit and vegetable juices.
2010년 국민건강영양조사에 근거한 매실가공품 섭취로부터 한국인의 일인당 하루 총페놀, 총플라보노이드 및 항산화능 섭취량 추정

본 연구에서는 시중에서 판매 중인 매실가공품 중 매실주 4종, 매실음료 2종, 매실원액 4종을 선정하여 총페놀 함량, 총플라보노이드 함량 및 항산화능을 정량 분석하고, 2010년도 국민건강영양조사 자료를 바탕으로 매실가공품 섭취를 통하여 얻어지는 총페놀 함량, 총플라보노이드 함량 및 항산화능을 추정하였다. 2010년에 실시한 국민건강영양조사의 원시자료 분석을 통해 매실주(0.17 g/capita/day), 매실음료(1.39 g/capita/day), 매실원액(0.81 g/capita/day)의 일인당 하루 섭취량을 산출하였다. 매실가공품 섭취를 통해서 얻어진 일인당 하루 섭취량의 경우, 총페놀 섭취량은 1.05 mg GAE/capita/day, 총플라보노이드 섭취량은 0.13mg CE/capita/day, 항산화능은 0.70mg VCE/capita/day (DPPH법), 1.04 mg VCE/capita/day (ABTS법)였다. 일인당 하루 총페놀 섭취량, 총플라보노이드 섭취량 및 항산화능 섭취량 추정은 매실가공품의 섭취량뿐만 아니라 매실가공품 자체의 생리활성 성분의 함량에도 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. The total phenolics, total flavonoids, and antioxidant capacities of ten commercial products of Japanese apricot (maesil) were evaluated, including four kinds of alcoholic drinks, two kinds of soft drinks, and four kinds of concentrate found in the Korean market. The daily per capita consumption (g/capita/day) of each product was calculated from in the existing dataset of the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in 2010. Using the combined datasets indicated above, the daily per capita intake of total phenolics from maesil product consumption was found to be 1.05 mg gallic acid equivalents. The daily per capita intake of total flavonoids was determined to be 0.13 mg catechin equivalents, and the daily per capita intake of antioxidant capacities were measured at 0.70 mg vitamin C equivalents (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl assay), and at 1.04 mg vitamin C equivalents (2,2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) assay). The daily per capita intakes of total phenolics, total flavonoids, and antioxidant capacities were influenced by the daily quantity of consumption of maesil products, as well as their compositional contents.
