        To object of this study was to analyze the effects of air pollution of industrial park to the environmental-ecology characterization in the Sa-Sang Park and the vicinity of South Gate in Mt. Geumjung. 6 transects(each size 400m2 were set up and surveyed each park. The relationships of the distribution of dominant groups for forest vegetation structure and the environmental condition between the Sa-Sang Park and the vicinity of South Gate San-Sung Amusement Park were analyzed by similarity index, frequencies of tree species, importance value, soil pH, SO2ㆍCOㆍNO2 and PM10 density of air and tree vitality. The results obtained were as follows, 1. For analysis of vegetation structure in the Sa-Sang Park, upperstory of forests was mostly consisted of Pinus thunbergii Parl and partly of Alnus japonica Steudel. In midstory, major components were Alnus japonica Steudel and partly of Pinus thunbergii Parl. In lower story Rhus sylvestris S. et Z, which was known to be resistant to air pollution, was found in large number. While the vicinity of South Gate in Mt. Geumjung has various species and stable forest vegetation, upperstory of forests was mostly consisted of Pinus rigida Mill and partly of Pinus densiflora S. et Z. Quercus serrata Thunb. Quercus mogolicα Fischer. Alnus hirsuta Rupr. In midstory, major components were Pinus rigida Mill and Alnus hirsuta Rupr. In lower story Rhododendron yedoense Maximowicz var. poukhanense(Le'v.) Nakai. and Rubus crataegifolius Bunge, Lespedeza bicolor Turcz. Similarity index in the Sa-Sang Park and the vicinity of South Gate in Mt. Geumjung was 42.31%. 2. Frequencies class of tree species were analyzed A(23.53%), B(17.65%),C(11.76%), D(5.88%), E(41.18%) in the Sa-Sang Park and A(29.41%), B(29.41%). C(23.53%), DC5.88%), E(11.77%) the vicinity of South Gate in Mt. Geumjung 3. Soil pH decreased to below pH 0.7 in the Sa~Sang Park as compared to pH 4.9in the vicinity of South Gate in Mt. Geumjung. In addition Water content decreased to below 7.7% in Sa~Sang Park as compared to 9.3% the vicilli앙 of South Gate in Mt. Geumjung. While SO2ㆍCO2 density of air and tree vitality were higher than those in the vicinity of South Gate in Mt. Geumjung. It is concluded that the Sa~Sang Park is only afraided to survive stronge tree species which resist to air pollution and decrease a function of city park in a few years that tree vitality of the Sa~Sang Park is higher than those in the vicinity of the South Gate in Mt.         C-reactive protein accelerates DRP1-mediated mitochondrial fission by modulating ERK1/2-YAP signaling in cardiomyocytes

        C-reactive protein (CRP) is an inflammatory marker and risk factor for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases. However, the mechanism through which CRP induces myocardial damage remains unclear. This study aimed to determine how CRP damages cardiomyocytes via the change of mitochondrial dynamics and whether survivin, an anti-apoptotic protein, exerts a cardioprotective effect in this process. We treated H9c2 cardiomyocytes with CRP and found increased intracellular ROS production and shortened mitochondrial length. CRP treatment phosphorylated ERK1/2 and promoted increased expression, phosphorylation, and translocation of DRP1, a mitochondrial fission-related protein, from the cytoplasm to the mitochondria. The expression of mitophagy proteins PINK1 and PARK2 was also increased by CRP. YAP, a transcriptional regulator of PINK1 and PARK2, was also increased by CRP. Knockdown of YAP prevented CRP-induced increases in DRP1, PINK1, and PARK2. Furthermore, CRP-induced changes in the expression of DRP1 and increases in YAP, PINK1, and PARK2 were inhibited by ERK1/2 inhibition, suggesting that ERK1/2 signaling is involved in CRP-induced mitochondrial fission. We treated H9c2 cardiomyocytes with a recombinant TAT-survivin protein before CRP treatment, which reduced CRP-induced ROS accumulation and reduced mitochondrial fission. CRP-induced activation of ERK1/2 and increases in the expression and activity of YAP and its downstream mitochondrial proteins were inhibited by TAT-survivin. This study shows that mitochondrial fission occurs during CRPinduced cardiomyocyte damage and that the ERK1/2-YAP axis is involved in this process, and identifies that survivin alters these mechanisms to prevent CRP-induced mitochondrial damage. Also, it is irrelevant to relocate a capital for relaxing the congestion of a capital region.

      • 복강내 Polyadenylic-Polyuridylic acid 투여에 의한 악성복수의 치료효과

        Intracavitary antitumor chemotherapeutic agents such as nitrogen mustard, 5-FU and bleomycin have been used for the treatment of malignant effusions to kill the tumor cells in the effusions. But because of many side effects such as anorexia, nausia, hepatic and renal dysfunction, other therapeutic agents have been tested. In this study, we have investigated the use of intraperitoneal infusion of polyadenylic-polyuridylic acid, a synthetic double stranded helical ribopolynucleotide complex, which stimulates both humoral and cell mediated immune response and enhances the NK cell activity in 17 patients of malignant ascites. Following results were obtained ; 1) The mean age of patients was 50.2 and male to female ratio was 1.4 : 1. Primary tumor site was stomach 15 cases, colon 1 case, primary unknown 1 case. The diagnostic methods of malignant ascites were peritoneoscopic biopsy 5 case, positive cancer cell in ascites 4 case, characteristics of ascites 8 cases, respectively. 2) Among the 17 cases who recieved infusion treatment, 14 cases were able to evaluate the response 8 cases (57.1%) were responded to treatment and 6 cases(42.9%) were not responded. The mean effect duration was 10.6 weeks. 3) There was no difference in clinical and laboratory finding between response group and non-response group. The response rate was higher in case of positive cancer cell in ascites and short interval from the diagnosis to development of ascites, although statistically non-significant. 4) There was no side effect except 1 case of febrile reaction. Laboratory finding of pre and post treatment was not changed. In conclusion, the peritoneal administration of polyadenylic-polyuridylic acid seems to be effective and safe method in the patients with malignant ascites.

      • Human Chorionic Gonadotropin(HCG)에 의한 넙치, Paralichthys olivaceus의 배정효과

        For the evaluation of hormonal control of sperm in cultured fish a method to quantify the spermiation response of mature flatfish to hormonal therapy is described. Spermatocrit was determined after 30 min. in centrifuge condition of 12,000rpm. Sperm density was estimated by a standard hemacytometer method. However, sperm density can be predicted from spermatocrit since their relationship is linear as described by the re-gression equation. Y=1.14X-0.04 (r=0.91. P<0.0001. n=50), where Y is spermatocrit and X is sperm density. Sperm density levels ranged from 21.5 to 98.4×10^(4) spermatozoa per ㎕ milt corresponding to spermatocrit values of 12 to 95%. Milt production by mature flatfish was highest (7.4ml per kg body weight) at 24h after injection of 1,000IU of human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG) per kg body weight and coincided with low spermatocrit (63%) and sperm density (67.4×10^(4) spermatozoa per ㎕ milt) levels. No significant differences was appeared in milt production, spermatocrit and sperm density between control and HCG-treated fish at 48h after HCG injection. These results demonstrate that spermiation in mature flatfish can be reliably evaluated by a spermatocrit method and that HCG is effective in stimulating of spermiation in this species.

        Plasma arc light를 이용한 bracket 부착시의 전단결합강도와 파절양상의 유형

        본 연구의 목적은 bracket 부착시 광조사시간을 획기적으로 감소시킬 수 있는 plasma arc licht의 임상적 유용성을 visible light 중합시의 전단결합강도와 접착파절양상과 비교해 봄으로써 평가해 보는데 있다. 사람의 상하악 소구치를 포매하여 만든 레진블럭시편에 광중합 접착제인 TransbondR를 사용하여 수종의 bracket을 각각의 조건에 따라 부착한 후 만능 물성시험기를 이용하여 전단결합강도를 측정하고, 접착파절양상을 stereoscope을 이용하여 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1.Plasma arc light를 이용한 수종의 bracket 접착시 metal bracket과 ceramic bracket의 전단결합강도는 임상적으로 사용하기에 충분한 값을 나타내었으며, resin bracket의 경우 다른 bracket에 비해 전단결합강도가 현저히 작은 값을 나타내었지만 임상적으로 사용이 가능한 값을 나타내었다. 2.Visible light를 이용한 metal bracket의 광중합시 광조사시 간에 따른 전단결합강도는 광조사 시 간에 따른 유의 한 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 임상적으로 사용하기에 충분한 강도를 나타내었다. 3.Plasma arc light를 이용한 수종의 bracket 접착시 접착제 잔류지수를 통해 접착파절양상을 관찰한 결과, metal bracket과 resin bracket의 경우 bracket기저면에 접착제가 반 이상 남아 있지 않은 경우가 많았으며, ceramic bracket의 경우 bracket기저면에 접착제가 반 이상 남아 있는 경우가 많았다. 4.Metal bracket의 부착시 plasma arc light를 2초간 광조사한 군과 visible light를 10초간 광조사한 군의 전단결합강도와 접착파절양상을 비교시 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 6.Plasma arc light를 이용한 광중합시 광조사 거리에 따른 전단결합강도는 거리가 증가할수록 감소하였다. 이상의 실험 결과는 plasma arc light를 이용한 bracket의 접착시 전단결합강도 저하의 우려 없이 임상적으로 사용 가능함을 시사한다. The puruose of this study was to evaluate the clinical usefulness of plasma arc light which can reduce the curing time dramatically compared by shear bond strengths and failure patters of the brackens bonded with visible light in direct bracket bonding. Some kinds of brackets were bonded with the TransbondR to the human premolars which were embedded in the resin blocks according to the various conditions. After bonding, the shear bond strength was tested by Instron universal testing machine and in addition , the amount of residual adhesive remaining on the tooth after debonding was measured by the stereoscope and assessed with adhesive remnant index(ARI). The results were as follows : 1.When plasma arc light was used for bonding the brackets, the shear bond strength was clinically sufficient in both metal and ceramic brackets, but resin brackets showed significantly lower bond strength but which was clinically useful. 2.When metal brackets were bonded using visible light, there was no significant difference in shear bond strength due to the light-curing time and the bond strength was clinically sufficient. 3.When the adhesive failure patterns of brackets bonded with plasma arc light were observed by using the adhesive remnant index, the bond failure of the metal and resin bracket occurred more frequently at bracket-adhesive interface but the failure of the ceramic bracket occurred more frequently at enamel-adhesive interface. 4.There was no statistically significant difference of the shear bond strength and adhesive failure pattern between metal bracket bonded for 2 seconds by curing with plasma arc light and 10 seconds by curing with visible light. 6.When metal brackets were bonded using plasma arc light, the shear bond strength decreased as the distance from the light source increased. The above results suggest that plasma arc light can be clinically useful for bonding the brackets without fear of the decrease of the shear bond strength.

      • 페로브스카이트형 La_(1-x)Sr_xBO_(3±y) (B=Fe,Ni) 복합산화물의 생성 및 반응성

        Nonstoichiometry, thermal stability and reactivity in static H2 atmosphere of perovskite-type La_(l-x)Sr_xBO_(3±y)(B=Fe, Ni) mixed oxides were investigated by means of temperature programmed reduction method and X-ray diffraction. Nonstoichiometry of these oxides was determined as following; LaFeO_3.05, La_0.9Sr_0.1FeO_3.0l, La_0.8Sr_0.22FeO_2.95, La_0.7Sr_0.3FeO_2.94, LaNiO_2.93, La_0.98Sr_0.02NiO_2.85, La_0.96Sr_0.04NiO_2.81. From the results of temperature programmed reduction, thermal stability of these perovskites relatively lowered than non-dopant according to the content (x values) of dopant(Sr^2+). According to the kinetic studies, it was revealed that the first and second step reductions in La_(1-x)Sr_xFeO_(3±y) (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3) oxides and the first step reduction in LaFeO_3.05 oxide and La_(1-x)SrxNiO(3-y) (x=0, 0.02, 0.04) oxides were followed by Ginstling-Broushtein equation, indicating three dimensional diffusion of reactant. The third step reduction in La_(1-x)Sr_xFeO_(3±y) (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3) oxides and the second step reduction in LaFeO_3.05 oxide were followed by contracting sphere model at reaction interface between reactant and product, and the second step reduction in La_(1-x)Sr_xNiO_(3-y) (x=0, 0.02, 0.04) oxides were fitted Avrami-Erofeev equation, indicating this step was controlled by formation and growth of reaction nuclei via the reaction interface.

        蜂毒(Apitoxin)이 흰 쥐의 Adjuvant 關節炎에 미치는 影響

        연구배경 : 봉독요법은 아직 보편화되지 못했으나 실제 임상에서 만성 관절염이나 염증질환에 많이 이용하고 있으며, 수천년전부터 민간요법으로 사용되어 왔다. 이에 봉독의 치료효과를 과학적으로 검증하고 치료기전을 밝혀 봉독요법의 활용에 도움이 되고자 한다. 방법 : 실험용 흰쥐에 Freun's complete adjuvant 액을 피하주사하여 관절염을 유발시키면서, apitoxin을 피하주사하여 부종률, 진통효과 및 소염작용을 측정한다. 결과 : 치료군에서 부종률이 억제되었고 WBC 및 혈청 cholinestrase의 활성도가 감소되었으며, 동통역치는 증가하였다. 결론 : 봉독요법은 소염, 진통에 뛰어난 효능을 가지고 있어 비증, 역절풍 및 통풍 등에 응용할 수 있을 것으로 사려된다. In order to study the effect of Apitoxin therapy on the Anti-inflammatary and Analgesic Action, Apitoxin therapy was administered on the Arthritis induced by Freund's complete adjuvant in rats. The obtainded results were summarized as follows. 1. Anti-inflammatory effect of Apitoxin therapy on the Anti-inflammatory action was showed statistical significance. The Sample A was more excellent on the decrease of edema and the number of WBC. 2. Analgesic Effect was showed with significance in sample A and B. Sample A was more excellemt in pain threshold, and B was more excellent in decrease of cholinestrase. According to the above result, it can be concluded Bee Vemom therapy showed the Anti-inflamentory and Analgenic Effect, and is suggest that the more interest, study in the secuity for the clinical use were neded.
