        After the danger of a self-referential novel with its solipsist tendency is pointed out, each of Nabokov's novels in English is considered from the point of content. The conflict between the claim that there is nothing in his fiction but the beauty of form and the claim that his fiction concerns itself with serious content may be solved by the aesthetics of consciousness. Nabokov's fiction is essentially the reflection of the author's consciousness in three ways. First, his fiction making is interpreted as a means of escape from time on the part of a mortal being conscious of death. Second, the patterning and ordering in the structure of his fiction point to the author's conscious act. Third, there is still another kind of consciousness in that the author is conscious that he is conscious of the limiting time and he is doing the conscious act in his fiction-making. The last consciousness is what makes Nabokov rigorously distinguish life's contingent existence from art's inhuman privileges. It is from this consciousness that his novels got peculiar moral nature and it is for this that he may be called a novelist for whom human values always come first.

      • TGA 방법을 이용한 플라스틱과 하수·분뇨슬러지의 열분해 반응속도 연구

        요약문 도시 고형폐기물의 열분해 특성에 대한 기초 자료를 제시하고자 열중량분석기를 이용하여 가열속도를 실험변수로 하여 하수 및 분뇨슬러지와 5대 범용 플라스틱인 LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS 와 PVC의 열분해 반응속도인자 및 분해특성을 파악하였다. 활성화에너지는 가열속도에 상관없이 일정한 값을 나타내었으며 분해속도가 최고일때의 온도는 가열속도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. LDPE, HDPE, PP와 PS는 1단계 분해반응으로 350∼520 ℃에서 대부분이 완전분해되었으며, PVC는 2단계 분해반응으로 250∼550 ℃에서 분해가 진행되었다. 슬러지는 여러 단계의 분해반응으로 특정한 분해구간이 없이 전구간에 걸쳐서 분해가 진행되었다. PVC를 제외한 플라스틱은 완전분해되었으며, PVC는 약 10%의 잔류량이 있었고, 슬러지의 잔류량은 D 하수, S 하수, T 분뇨 슬러지의 순으로 43, 70, 28.5%를 나타내었다.Abstract The thermal decomposition of sewage/night soil sludge and LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS and PVC was studied by using a conventional dynamic thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) in a flowing nitrogen environment at several heating rates between 5 ℃ and 40 ℃/min. The dynamic thermogravimetric analysis curve was analyzed to obtain the information on the kinetic parameters such as activation energy, reaction order, and Arrhenius preexponential factor. The activation energy keeps constant regardless of heating rates, and the temperature of he fastest decomposition increases with the heating rate. LDPE, HDPE, PP and PS were completely decomposed in the temperature range of 350∼520 ℃ including as the first step decomposition and PVC was decomposed in the temperature range of 250∼550 ℃ including the second step decomposition. Sludge was decomposed without specific temperature range as several decomposition step. Except of PVC, all plastics were decomposed completely. PVC keeps the remains of about 10%, and sludge keeps the remains of 43% for D sewage sludge, 70% for S sewage sludge, 28.5% for T night soil sludge.

        In this study the antimicrobial spectrum and sensitivity of a liquid formulation of enrofloxacin against the major six pathogenic bacteria isolated from the diseased poultry in Korea were evaluated in comparison with ciprfloxacin (CFX), gentamicin (GM) and penicillin (PC). A liquid form of enrofloxacin, a test material and ciprofloxacin showed at least 83% antibacterial activity against all of six test pathogenic microorganisms at the fixed concentration of 10 ㎍/㎖. Gentamicin and penicillin revealed much lower antibacterial activity at the same condition. We evaluated the liquid form of enrofloxacin as having widespread antibacterial spectrum against poultry infections. The liquid form of enrofloxacin showed potent antibacterial activity, with the MIC range being 0.12∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Gram positives, 0.06∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Gram negatives and 0.5∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Mycoplasma spp. These values were equivalent to or somewhat higher than those of ciprofloxacin, but much lower than those of gentamicn and penicillin. This new liquid form of enrofloxacin would find its way in application of mixing with drinking water for the prevention and treatment of diverse infections in chickens.

        This paper proposes a new webpage analysis tool based on bioinformatics. The tool puts web pages into single chromosome and expresses each character and image in the pages by gene, DNA. It analyzes similarity of gene by PCR during the process. Similarity of web page is calculated using fitness Function of gene algorithm.

        위궤양에 의한 담관-위 누공은 매우 드문 질환이며 소화성 궤양에 의한 담관 누공의 경우 대부분 내과적 치료가 우선적으로 시행된다. 저자들은 내과적 치료에 호전되지 않는 궤양성 담관-위 누공을 외과적 절제술을 시행하여 완치하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. 64세 남자 환자가 15년 동안 지속된 식사 후 복통과 우상복부 동통을 주소로 내원하였다. 위 내시경 소견상 위전정부, 소만곡 후벽에 담즙이 역류하는 궤양저가 관찰되었으며 상복부위장관 촬영상 위전정부와 총수담관이 교통하는 소견이 있었으나 전산화복부단층 소견상 담석의 증거는 없었다. 담관-위누공 의심하에 체간미주신경절단술, 유문절제술, 담낭절제술, 총수담관절제술 후 환자는 퇴원하였다. Choledochogastric fistula complicated from gastric ulcer is very rare. Most of the internal biliary fistula by peptic ulcer were successfully managed with conservative treatment. Authors reported successful surgical resection of choledochogastric fistula caused by gastric ulcer. A (54-year old man visited our hospital complaining of postprandial abdominal pain and right upper quadrant pain for 15 years. He has a history of peptic ulcer medication for four years, recently. A gastrofiberscopy revealed ulceration on the posterior wall along the lesser curvature, gastric antrum with bile reflux from ulcer base, and histopathology of the biopsy specimen revealed an ulcer without evidence of malignancy. Barium upper gastrointestinal study showed fistula between stomach and common bile duct. In abdominal CT, there was a pneumobilia with dilated intrahepatic duct without common bile duct dilatation. After the diagnosis of choledochogastric fistula, we performed truncal vagotomy with antrectomy and cholecystectomy with resection of extrahepatic bile duct. The patient has remained well since his discharge from hospital.

        국가 주도 성평등교육의 체계적 운영 방안과 관련법 제정 가능성의 탐색

        본 연구에서는 국가 주도 성평등교육의 구조적 한계와 각각의 쟁점을 확인하는 한편, 성평등 교육의 한 단계 도약을 위해 다양한 개선방안 및 관련 정책을 지원할 수 있는 관련법의 제정 가능성을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 성평등교육과 관련된 학계 및 현장의 전문가 20명을 대상으로 네 차례에 걸친 라운드테이블을 진행하였으며, 이를 통해 국가 주도 성평등교육의 추진현황과 운영상의 한계, 다양한 쟁점 사항들을 확인하였으며, 이를 극복하기 위한 개선 과제들과 방향성에 대한 의견을 청취하였다. 이상의 분석결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 성평등교육법의 체계적 운영을 위한 중장기적 개선 과제를 도출하였으며, 그 방안으로서 관련법의 제정 가능성과 한계를 검토, 제안하였다. In this study, the structural limitations of state-led gender equality education and each issue were identified. In addition, the possibility of enacting related laws to support various improvement measures and related policies was explored for the leap forward in gender equality education. To achieve this research objective, this study conducted four rounds of roundtable for 20 experts from academia and sites related to gender equality education. In the process, we identified the current status of state-led gender equality education, limitations in operation, and various issues, and heard opinions on improvement tasks and directions to overcome them. Based on the above analysis results, this study derived mid- to long-term improvement tasks for systematic operation of gender equality education and reviewed and proposed the possibilities and limitations of enacting Gender Equality Education Act.

      • 양파외피 추출물의 어류 병원성세균에 대한 항균성 검색

        The objective of the study was to evaluate the antibacterial activity of onion shells, which are discarded as industrial wastes, against fish pathogenic bacteria using various extractants such as water, ethanol, ethyl acetate and butanol. Water onion extracts did not show any antibacterial activity in the tested bacteria but butanol onion extracts showed antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli BE 1186. Ethyl acetate and ethanol onion extracts showed antibacterial activity for all the test bacteria. Ethanol, an edible stuff, was possible to use as an extractant of onion shells in industrial process to make marketed products. We further studied the effects of heat and PH on the antibacterial activity of ethanol onion extract against fish pathogenic bacteria. Heating did not change the antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract. However, ethanol extract showed a decreasing antibacterial activity toward alkaline (pH 11). These results indicate that the ethanol onion extracts is suitable for use as supplementary antibacterials.

        In order to characterize pharmacokinetic profiles according to route of a new enrofloxacin salt form (Enrotil®), it was given to 4 healthy pigs via oral (p.o.), intramuscular (i.m.) or intravenous (i.v.) administrations at a dose rate of 5 ㎎/㎏ body weight. Enrofloxacin (ENFX) in serum was detected by bioassay using E. coli BE1186 as a test organism. The biological elimination half-lives (t_1/2(β)) of ENFX were 6.76±0.99 h (i.v.), 7.16±2.30 h (i.m.) and 11.45±3.90 h (p.o.), Volume of distribution (Vd) of enrofloxacin was 2.20±0.31 L/㎏ (i.v.), 2.52±0.60 L/㎏ (i.m.) and 1.88±0.33 L/㎏ (i.m.). Mean residence time (MRT) was 8.77±1.26 h after i.v. injection and the maximal concentration time (Tmax) following p.o. and i.m. administration was 0.76±0.09 h and 0.60±0.12 h, indicating a rapid absorption from these routes. Bioavailibility (F) was calculated as 64.1% for p.o. administration and 59.71% for i.m. injections. In summary, the newly formulated enrofloxacin salt form has shown a high water solubility, rapid absorption and large tissue distribution, suggesting a potential antibacterials for oral application on a large scale in veterinary sectors.
