        The Korean government made a decision to introduce the Stock Index Futures. And Korea Stock Exchange announced that the Stock Index Futures market will be opened on January 1996. The purpose of this study is to analyze the introduction of Stock Index Futures and its effects in Korea There have been many studies on the introduction of Stock Index Furures. They have mainly analyzed the expected effects and feasibillty of introduction of Stock Index Futuers into Korea. As far as we know, however, any study has not analyzed the behavior of institutional investors who will be major member of Stock Index Futures market. This is the reason why we have selected this topic as our project. We have adopted the survey method as the methodology of our research. Gathered questionnaires were classified and analyzed with correlation. The results of analysis are as follows : Ⅰ. Institutional investors thought the introduction of Stock Index Futures and its effects positively. Therefore we found that institutional investors will participate in the Shock Index Futures market actively. Ⅱ. However, there will be some problems on liquidity condition. In general a speculation has a critical effect on liquidity. Institutional investors thought speculation positively. But they were not interested in speculation in the Stock Index Futures market. It means that the real demand of speculation will be low. To solve this problem, the demand of speculation should be increased. For example, the system for stock loans will be one of the resolutions. Ⅲ. (1) On the institutional constraints, they pointed out the imperfection of related law and tax system. Hence, the government has to arrange related law and tax system. (2) On the preparation of Korea Stock Exchange, they raised the problems of computer system and index development. So, Korea Stock Exchange has to develop the index as soon as possible and select the computer system carefully. (3) On the preparation of company, they indicated that there are few experts. Therefore, the training for experts is needed before introducing Stock Index Futures into Korea.

        군항공기사고조사에 관한 연구

        군항공기사고조사의 전문성과 독립성을 제고하기 위하여 상설사고조사기구를 신설하여야 한다. 상설조사기구를 신설함으로써 조사기구의 위상을 높이고 조사의 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있다. 민과 군이 모두 관련된 사고조사 시 민과 군의 조사권한의 주체, 업무협조 등에 관한 규율이 부재하고 있으므로 이를 입법화해야 한다. 군과 관련된 민항공기 사고조사 시 군의 전문가들이 참여함이 바람지하다. 조사의 실효성 보장을 위하여 항공사고에 대한 정보를 직접 수집하는 조사관의 활동을 보장하는 규정을 마련해야 한다. 또한, 사고조사의 목적은 오직 사고예방에만 있으므로 정보의 공개범위를 제한하고 조사결과를 형사절차나 징계절차에서 사용할 수 없도록 하여 조사의 객관성을 확보해야 할 것이다. In an effort to enhance the independence of and expertise in military aircraft accident investigation, a permanet accident investigation board should be established. Estabilishing permanent accident investigation board would render the military accident investigation more reliable and would increase its public esteem. Because there is no provision governing the responsibilities of theinvestigation and cooperation between civil and military authority in case that both civil and military aircraft are involved, it is necessary to fill this gap by enacting appropriate laws. In case of civil aircraft accident investigation involving a military issue, it would be better to allow military authority to be involved in the investigation. For the betterment of investigation, it is also necessary to provide a field investigator an authority to directly coolect relevant information. Since the sole purpose of accident investigation is to prevent the recurrence of aircraft accidents, the scope of information disclosure should be limited and the investigation report shall be used for neither criminal procedure nor disciplinary procedure so that the objectivity of the investigation should be ensured.

        비행안전구역 밖에서의 고도제한

        군용항공기지법은 비행안전구역을 설정하여 각 구역별 표면높이 이상의 장애물 설치를 금지하고 있다. 비행안전구역은 항공기의 비행안전을 확보하기 위해서 설정된 것이다. 그러나, 우리의 경우 좁은 국토여건을 감안, 비행안전구역을 6구역까지만 축소 설정하여 계기비행절차와 관련된 비행안전상의 문제점이 있다. 계기비행절차가 수립되어 있는 영역 중 일부에 대하여는 비행안전구역이 설정되지 않아 아무런 고도제한을 가할 수 없는 것이다. 본고에서는 이러한 문제인식을 출발점으로 삼아, 비행안전과 관련된 비행안전구역 외곽에서의 고도제한 문제를 다루고 있다. 우선 군용항공기지법상의 비행안전구역과 각 국의 비행안전구역 설정 현황을 검토하였다. 이를 토대로 현행법이 안고 있는 문제점을 논의하였다. 문제점을 해결하기 위해서는 비행안전ㄱ역 밖의 일정 영역에 대하여도 고도제한을 할 필요성이 있다. 가장 바람직한 방안 검토를 위해 비행안전구역 밖에서도 고도제한에 대한 입례법을 참조하였다. 그 결과 여러 가지 입법안을 상정해 볼 수 있었고, 비행안전구역 밖의 일정 부분에서 일정 높이 이상의 건축을 허용하기 위해서는 비행안전심사를 거치도록 하는 것이 가장 바람직하다는 결론을 내려보았다. The Military Air base Law has designated imaginary surface, restricting the height of structure above the imaginary surface. The purpose of establishment of imaginary surface is to promote safety of aircraft operation. However, given the fact that the land is limited, the Military Airbase Law does not set up outer horizontal surface such that the reduced imaginary surface would undermin the safety of aircraft operations with respect to IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) procedures. The fact that some areas which IFR procedures require are not designated as imaginary surface results in no imposition of height restriction on such area. With regard to aviation safety, this article deals with issue of height restriction on area which is beyond the imaginary surface area. This article also examines the establishment of the imaginary surface in the Military Airbase Law, and conducts case study of imaginary surface systems in other country. Based upon this discussion, the current problems posed in the Military Airbase Law will be discussed. To resolve these problems, it is necessary to establish height restriction zone beyond the current imaginary surface area. The provisions of ICAO, FAA and other counties in relation with this issue are referred as well. As a result, many different proposals are suggested, and it is concluded as the most effective proposal that, in certain zone beyond the imaginary surface area, an aeronautic study should be required for the purpose of ensuring aviation safety before a permit of construction higher than prescribed height is issued.

        팔당호 연안생태계의 수생식물상과 생태적 특성

        팔당호 연안대의 수생식물상과 식생을 파악하기 위하여 2003년 4월부터 2004년 4월까지 9곳의 조사 지점을 선정하여 선방형구법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 팔당호 연안대에는 128종류의 관속식물이 생육하고 있는 것으로 조사되었고, 이중 수생식물은 38종류였다. 수생식물의 경우 정수식물이 21종류로 가장 많았고, 침수식물은 8종류 였고, 침수식물 종류수는 이전 조사보다 감소한 것으로 파악되었다. 팔당호 주요 식생은 애기부들, 줄, 갈대가 우점하는 정수식물대로 파악되었고, 특히 두물머리, 광동교 근처에 넓게 정수식물대가 넓게 발달하였다. 귀화식물은 11종류가 분포하고 있었으나, 출현 빈도는 상대적으로 높았다. 팔당호 연안대에 분포하는 식물의 출현 빈도를 조사 지점을 기준으로 살펴보면, 조사 지점당 수생식물은 2.7종류, 습생식물은 2.5종류, 육지식물은 1.8종류로 파악 되었고, 수직대상분포 식생이 팔당호 연안대에서 발견되었다. 이러한 조사 결과는 팔당호 연안대가 수생태계의 전형적인 특성들을 지니고 있는 것으로 풀이된다. To investigate the flora and vegetation structure of vascular plants in the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir, from April, 2003 to April 2004, nine sampling sites were selected. Along the Paldang Reservoir, 128 taxa, consisted of 51 families and 96 genera, were identified, among them, hydrophytes were confirmed as 38 taxa, which was comprised 29.7% to total taxa, whereas hygrophytes were 44 taxa and terrestrial plants were 46 taxa. Emergent hydrophytes consists of 21 taxa, including Phragmites australis and Typha angustifolia, and next, submerged hydrophytes were 8 taxa. However, the kinds and vegetation area of submerged hydorphytes were reduced compared to previous studies. In the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir, the aquatic vegetation was widely developed near Dumulmori, Yangsuri, and Kwangdong Bridge, downstream of Kyungancheon. The average number of hydrophyte per sampling sites were 2.7 taxa, whereas hygrophytes were 2.5, and land plants were 1.8. In addition, the hydrophytes in the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir showed the typical vertical zonation pattern like a natural swamp. These results mean that the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir has the typical characteristics of aquatic plant ecosystem.

      • 林地利用에 따른 溪流水의 水質變化

Evaluation of stream water quality in three stands by Drinking water quality standard <원문참조> 임지이용에 따른 수질변화 및 오염정도를 구명하여 향후 비점오염원 관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 경남 진주시 정평리에 위치한 3개 임분(소나무, 밤나무Ⅰ, 반나무Ⅱ임분)에서 2000년 7월부터 9월까지 계류수의 수질변화를 분석하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 세 임분의 계류수 pH는 소나무 임분(pH6.59)>밤나무 Ⅱ임분(ph 6.53)>밤나무 Ⅰ임분(pH 6.47)계류수 순으로 나타났다. 2. 전기전도도는 밤나무 Ⅰ임분>소나무 임분>밤나무 Ⅱ임분 계류수의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 3. 양이온은 세 임분의 계류수 모두 Ca^2+, Na^+, Mg^2+, K^+, NH_^+의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 4. 음이온은 소나무 임분과 밤나무 Ⅱ임분 계류수에서는 SO_4^2, Cl, NO_3의 순으로 높게 나타났고, 밤나무 Ⅰ임분 계류수에서는 NO_3, SO_4^2, Cl 의 순으로 높게 나타나 차이를 보였다. 5. 소나무, 밤나무 Ⅱ임분 계류수는 pH, NH_4+, NO_3, Cl, SO_4^2이 먹는 물 수질기준 범위내에 있었다. 그러나 밤나무 Ⅰ임분 계류수에서 5항목 중 NO_3는 먹는 물 수질기준을 넘어서는 범위에 있어 임지이용에 따른 하류수질의 오염이 우려되었다. 따라서 이러한 상류지역에서 오염원 차단을 위한 수질정화시설 등의 대책이 마련되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. This study was carried out to clarify the change characteristics of stream water quality by land-use of forest from July to September, 2000 in three stands(Pinus densiflora, Castanea crenata(Ⅰ), Castanea crenata(Ⅱ) stand) of Jeongpyeong-ri, Jinju-si, Gyeongnam. The mean pH of rainfall results in acid rain of 5.3. The pH of stream water in three stands was hugh in order of Pinus densiflora (pH 6.59), Castanea crenata(Ⅱ)(pH 6.53) and Castanea crenata(Ⅰ) stand(pH 6.47). The electrical conductivity of stream water was high in order of Castanea crenata(Ⅰ), Pinus densiflora and Castanea crenata(Ⅱ) stand. Cations of three stand in stream water high in order of Ca^2+, Na^+, Mg^2+, K^+ and NH_4^+. But anions of stream water in Pinus densiflora stand and Castanea crenata(Ⅱ) stand were high in order of SO_4^2, Cl and NO_3. In Castanea crenata(Ⅰ) stand cations of stream water were high in order of NO_3, SO_^2 and Cl. The level of pH, NH_4^+, NO_3, Cl and SO_4^2 of stream water in Pinus densiflora stand and Castanea crenata(Ⅱ) stand reached within the level of domestic use standard for drinking water But the level of NO_3 of stream water in Castanea crenata(Ⅰ) stand was higher than that of domestic use standard. Therefore, non-point sources like forest watersheds which are fertilizer application lands should be taken to the appropriate mitigation measures.

      • Obovatol isolated from <i>Magnolia obovata</i> enhances pentobarbital-induced sleeping time: Possible involvement of GABA<sub>A</sub> receptors/chloride channel activation

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>This study aimed to investigate the effects of obovatol isolated from <I>Magnolia obovata</I> on pentobarbital-induced sleeping behaviors and to determine whether these effects were mediated by GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptors/chloride channel activation, using a western blot technique and Cl<SUP>−</SUP> sensitive fluorescence probe. GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptors subunits expression and chloride influx were investigated in cultured cerebellar granule cells. Obovatol (0.05, 0.1, and 0.2mg/kg) prolonged the sleeping time induced by pentobarbital (42mg/kg). In addition, obovatol (20 and 50μM) significantly increased Cl<SUP>−</SUP> influx in the primary cultured cerebellar granule cells. Moreover, obovatol increased the expression of GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptor α-, β-, and γ-subunits. However, it had no effect on the abundance of the expression of glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD), suggesting that obovatol might not activate GAD. These results suggest that obovatol potentiates pentobarbital-induced sleeping time through the GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptors/chloride channel activation.</P>

      • Magnolol enhances pentobarbital-induced sleeping behaviors: possible involvement of GABAergic systems

        <P>This study was performed to investigate whether magnolol enhances pentobarbital-induced sleeping behaviors through the GABAergic systems. Magnolol prolonged the sleeping time induced by pentobarbital. In addition, magnolol increased chloride influx in primary cultured cerebellar granule cells. The expression of the GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptor &agr;-subunit was increased selectively by magnolol, but magnolol had no effect on the abundance of &bgr;- or &ggr;-subunits. The expression of glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) was not influenced by magnolol.       • An empirical study on interaction among organizational learning, organizational innovation and corporate core competence

        It basically depends on whether Chinese enterprises can continuously gain competitive advantage in the fierce competition on the market and create superior business performance that whether China"s economy will keep develops rapidly in the future. While, in order to acquire competitive advantage, the ascension of corporate core competence is required. Both domestic and foreign relevant researches show that organizational learning and organizational innovation are two key factor which have significant effects on corporate core competence. But scholars have not yet reached a consistent conclusion on the relationship and mechanism among organizational learning, organizational innovation and corporate core competence. In this study, the authors present a model for the relationship between organizational learning and corporate core competence by using organizational innovation as a mediator. The result of our empirical study indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between organizational learning and corporate core competence, and this relationship is completely mediated by organizational innovation.

      • Association Between MDM2 Promoter SNP309 T/G Polymorphism and Liver Cancer Risk - a Meta-analysis

        Background: Many studies have investigated the association between the MDM2 promoter SNP309 T/G polymorphism and liver cancer risk, but inconsistencies make drawwing definitive conclusions difficult. Methods: We therefore searched main databases for articles relating MDM2 SNP309 T/G polymorphism to risk of liver cancer in humans and estimated summary odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) to assess the possible association in a meta-analysis. Results: The main analysis revealed no significant heterogeneity, and the pooled ORs of fixed-effects were all significant (for G versus T, OR = 1.59, 95% CI 1.42-1.78; for GG versus TT, OR = 2.45, 95% CI 1.93-3.12; for GT versus TT, OR = 1.70, 95% CI 1.38-2.09; for GG versus GT, OR = 1.49, 95% CI 1.24-1.79; for GG and GT versus TT, OR = 1.95, 95% CI 1.61-2.38; for GG versus TT and GT, OR = 1.73, 95% CI 1.46-2.07). Subgroup analyses by ethnicity and sensitivity analyses both showed associations to remain significant. Conclusion: The present meta-analysis of available data showed a significant association between the MDM2 SNP309 T/G polymorphism and liver cancer risk, the MDM2 SNP309 G allele contributing to increased risk in both Asians and Caucasians in a graded, dose-dependent fashion.
