It was about 70 years ago that Carrel and Guthrie started experimental limb replantation. Malt succeeded, firstly, replantation of the amputated arm of 12 years old boy in 1962 and Tamai succeeded finger replantation in 1965. Since Jacobson and Suarez described superiority of small vessel repair using microscope, further advances in replantation occurrd with the develop-ment of suture material (18-20μ) and needles (65-120μ); making repair of vessels of 1 mm in diameter. The authors experienced four cases of traumatic amputation during the period from March, 1979 to Sept.. 1979 and the primary result of replantation is reported in this paper. 1. All cases were male and in the age group between 21 to 29. 2. Mode of amputation; two cases were amputated by presser, one case was by iron cutter and one was by paper cutter machine. 3. Tow out of four cases were incomplete amputation and two were complete multiple amputation. One case of multiple amputations was right four digits except thumb at the proximal phalanx level and the other was bilateral wrists. 4. The shortest duration of ischemia was four hours and 45 minutes and the longest was 13 and a half hours. 5. Four out of four replanted digits and two wrists were survived and the remains were failed. The possible cause of failure seems to be too long ischemic time. 6. Further functional results will be reported later.
수지(手指)에 발생한 Glomus Tumor - 치험 2례 보고 -

Glomus tbmor of the hand has been well documented lesion that usually presents as painful dermal nodule in the finger. Glomus tumor may be difficult in diagnostic and therapeutic problems because of relatively rare and not easily experienced cases. Normal glomus body presents in the skin and subcutis of the extremity, but the normal body is not more than 1 mm3) in size. Most evidence indicates that the main function of the normal glomus body is to aid in regulation of the skin circulation. The glomus tumor is thought to be an abnormal proliferation of the glomus body and accompained by the classic triad of symptoms : pain, tenderness and temperature sensitivity. This paper reports two cases of glomus tumor occurring in the nail bed and finger pulp. One case was found 30 years later & another case 15 years after the onset in spite of srvere pain, tenderness and lancinating pain when exposed to the cold tempera ture but the excision of the tumor resulted in complete recovery.
Chemical Modification of Bovine Brain Succinic Semialdehyde Reductase by Diethylpyrocarbonate

The NADPH-dependent succinic semialdehyde reductase is one of the key enzymes in the brain GABA shunt, and it catalyzes the formation of the neuromodulator γ-hydroxybutyrate from succinic semialdehyde. This enzyme was inactivated by diethylpyrocarbonate (DEP) with the second-order rate constant of 1.1×10³ M-¹min-¹ at pH 7.0, 25℃, showing a concomitant increase in absorbance at 242 nm due to the formation of N-carbethoxyhistidyl derivatives. Complete inactivation of succinic semialdehyde reductase required the modification of five histidyl residues per molecule of enzyme. However, only one residue was calculated to be essential for enzyme activity by a statistical analysis of the residual enzyme activity. The inactivation of the enzyme by DEP was prevented by preincubation of the enzyme with the coenzyme NADPH but not with the substrate succinic semialdehyde. These results suggest that an essential histidyl residue involved in the catalytic activity is located at or near the coenzyme binding site of the brain succinic semialdehyde reductase.

To compensate for the shortcoming of the existing fault diagnosis, fault diagnosis using deep learning has been studied. As a result of these studies, high-accuracy motor fault diagnosis is possible. However, most of these fault diagnostics can only be used in limited environments. For deep learning, the large amount of various electric motor data is required. However, it is practically impossible to collect all the data of electric motors used in the industry. In this study, this problem is solved using a K-means and RNN algorithm. Even with this algorithm, it is impossible to diagnose the failure of the motor in the mode environment. Therefore, it is essential to acquire various data. To collect this data, a large number of sensors must be attached to the motor and monitored. IoT technology is used to collect this data. In addition, a system is proposed in which a fault diagnosis algorithm is applied to an IoT sensor to monitor the state of the motor while collecting data and supplementing the algorithm based on the collected data.

The purpose of this study was to verify the relationship among the motive of smartphone sports application usage, the attitude toward sports, the satisfaction about leisure, the engagement in sports and the intention to continue sports through structural equation model. In order to achieve the study purpose, the study performed online survey and direct entry survey by using convenience sampling method to the people using the mobile sports application. Total 328 question papers were used for the study analysis. The study verified the established hypothesis by performing descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structure equation model. The result of data analysis is as follows. the motive of smartphone sports application affected the attitude toward sports, the satisfaction about leisure and the engagement in sports but the attitude toward sports, the satisfaction about leisure and the engagement in sports did not affect the intention to continue sports.
